I just realized I've been working here for 3 weeks now and have probably gone through 10000 bricks or more, easily. I guess as being hired from the AFOL community, building stuff just for fun after hours as a hobby is not as common as one would think. It is a job after all, even if it's the best in the world so far. But staying a little longer and chatting with the other colleagues is great fun and it's nice to be able to chat for a few hours and exchange thoughts on designs and bounce ideas off

Oh and our teacher has worked on movies like 10.000B.C. and the perfume, the man has serious skills!
Which he will teach us which in turn will lead up to eventually designing a head and modeling out of plastilin. SO HYPED!
So today I went to take my physical examination for the german army (aka, "Bundeswehr"). Rather, I was ordered there. Some people decide not to show up and the MP picks them up at home, so it's better to follow the "invitation". The people (except for the doctor) were all nice there.
Anyway. The examination turned out to classify me as "T2" which is the second best result one can get there. Means I am physically fit and intelligent enough so they want me as a soldier for the reserve army. I s
So what does VF do in his afternoons...if you say he's drawing geek stuff, that's definitely right but just a part of the activities.
He does play 1st Bugle in a Brass Orchestra as well ^^
And sometime in September we recorded our first CD!

Instead it has been raining more or less constantly since Monday evening.
Thank goodness I have my moms car right now.
Otherwise I propably would have caught another cold already if I had to ride my bike now.
6 days left in school...I still haven't really realized that it'll be over...
I kinda feel stupid for coming in to work today only to realize that I've got a day off...
On the other hand I only hekped out from 8 to 11 so I get off early tomorrow ^^

This school-stuff is really getting to me lately. I never skipped so many classes in the years before, but it seems headaches and generally feeling swamped kinda take over.
Luckily I only have to hang in there for just 15 more days before I can study more relaxed over springbreak.
Seriously. Why can't you decide wether to just stay or leave?
What is it with you that you come around, make me feel all good and then suddenly dissapear to leave me in this dull grey place!?

Happy New Year everybody! Long time no see, eh? Even longer since I had anything to blog about. But that's about to change. Tomorrow I'm flying to Denmark to start my new job on Tuesday. Amazing to think that in more or less 48 hours I'll be a part of the LEGO design team in Billund. Allons-y!
As those of you who play with me in the BZPRPG have probably noticed, I suddenly dropped out of activity last week. The reason for that is that I got the incredible opportunity to work at the Star Wars: The Old Republic booth at GamesCom in Cologne this year, via contacts I got from school. We met the previous weekend for the initial briefing; and after clearing up all questions, we drove to Cologne on Tuesday, where we moved into the flats we would have during the week and to get our on-sit
So, Sunday is the first big time ^^ And tomorrow is the final rehearsal for the play I'm in.
I got my fingers crossed everything goes well.

It's been such a rush leaving and going to NYC and getting settled in here that I couldn't truly appreciate the greatness yet.
It's just an amazing feeling to leave something like that with the knowledge to have made a bunch of new friends ^^

Well, the recording session of my orchestra is done. I got to listen to a bit of what we played on the PC afterwards. If the whole thing is as good as the quality for that piece, it'll be an amazing CD that's gonna come from this.
Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of it (mainly because I do play a small solo-part in one track, but everything else rocks just as much)

It has been quite a busy week for me, though not as stressful as one might expect.
Starting with thursday/friday last week, where I had to get up at 5am to get to work at 6am. They were cleaning out a storage room with files dating back over 30 years. First my colleague and I had to move them out of the room into the hallway, and then into another hallway where we also had to sort them into shelves.
And afterwards we had to get back to our respective jobs in patient-care to work the remaind
Nice. Now I need to reorient and readjust. A lot.
You guys have been quite busy with setting up a lot of stuff I feel would be cool to get in on.
