Contrary To (what Seems To Be) Popular Belief

I am not dead. I've simply been busy with school, work, and church.   Right now, I'm in a bit of a trivial dilema though. My grandmother is offering to buy me the Yellow Jetrax T6. Those of you who know me, know that (aside from the playsets), I've managed to collect every set from every year (also minus complete 2001-2004 collectable sets). I have the regular Jetrax T6, and I even managed to get the Klakk off of eBay (should be getting it any day now). What would you guys do?   Also, I

Greeting From Itt Technical Institute

Well I'm in class right now. Don't worry, I'm not ignoring my teacher. I just happened to be ahead of everybody because I did assignments that I thought were in my homework throughout last week that he's having people do now. So he told me to take a break.   Anyways, it's been a while since I made an entry. Quite a bit has happened lately.   I started school at ITT Tech and I'm in my third week. My major is Computer/Electronics Engineering Technology (CEET) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Ugh, $200 Later...

Good News:   Well I've been saving up my money as much as possible and it's been going pretty well. This past Friday, I worked from 10 AM-10 PM and I walked out with $195 after tipping out (before tipout, I made $220). So yeah, I guess you could say I have a slight knack for serving seeing as one of my tables tipped $40 on a $73 bill.   I officially have a checking account and I'll be getting a debit card later this week in the mail. 2 things I must buy once that card is in my po

Sets And Stuff

Well, I have all of the Bionicle sets once again. The problem is, I have nowhere to put Axalara T9, Jetrax T6, Rockoh T3, Vultraz, or Mazeka except in my room, away from all of my other Bionicle sets.   As of right now, I'm really trying to make a budget, because with car insurance, my phone, and college, I'm gonna be having to pay $450 a month. Which really isn't bad, but I just need to get into the habbit of depositing my money as soon as I get it and not spending it so compulsively *cough*

Things Are Lining Up For My Young Adult Life

Wow, good things just keep happening to me right now.   I got Final Fantasy IV for DS today, which is an awesome game so far (though I've played it through on GBA and PS1 ). The cutscenes are beautiful and it is definately harder than any of it's previous incarnations.   Also, I had an interview at ITT Tech today and I've been accepted. We're gonna be working on financial plans on Thursday and I start in September pretty much right after I get back from Brick Fair.   Serving is going well a

The Dark Knight

Wow... all I can say is wow.   I went into that movie with high expectations and they were exceeded. By far the best movie of 2008 without a second thought. If you read TMD's blog, he probably put it into the best words with his essay, but in my own words, it was simply amazing, and I have to see it again before this week is up. Then I may quite possibly see it 1-2 more times prior to it's DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Curses Are Seemingly Preludes To Blessings

Well... not this last Sunday, but the Sunday prior to it, my parents and I had swapped cars. So I was driving their van and they were driving my car. I spent the whole night at work. During this, my parents went to the Imax to get tickets for the Dark Knight (they lied to me, telling me that they already had them ) and found out that the Imax was sold out for 3 weeks. So they went to MJR (a really awesome movie theater that's basically the next best thing to Imax). As they were leaving, th

Ps3 And Music!

Well it's been a little while since I made a new entry, so here's what's new:   Last Tuesday, I went to Pennsylvania for Creation Festival 2008, which was awesome. There were over 100,000 people there as well as a handful of great bands and speakers.   My sister was able to get her Flyleaf CD signed by Flyleaf at Creation which was pretty cool. Myself? I got Skillet's Comatose CD signed, Jon Foreman's (Switchfoot's main singer) Seasonal EPs signed by him as well as a Switchfoot poster signe

Hulk Smash!

I saw The Incredible Hulk yesterday night/this morning. I must say, it definately made up for the first one being so terrible, though the most intense parts didn't take place until the end fight. I'm pretty sure the end fight was what they were spening most of the movie's budget on.   I'll tell you right now, there's nothing after the credits, so dont' waste your time waiting. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «However, right when you think the movie is going to end (just b

Vactions, Getaways, And Money

Ugh, I just realized that the rest of June is hectic as ever. I should have a pretty laid back month in July, but until then I've got a lot of things to get to. June 12: Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out. Though I won't have a PS3 for just under another two weeks, I had the Special Edition of this game reserved, and I wanna make sure that I pick it up. Also, I'll be going to see The Incredible Hulk at the end of the 12th/beginning of the 13th. June 14: My 18th Birthday where I will be attending 4

Of Cruises, Piercings, & Training

Well the night of June 4th was amazingly awesome. Myself and 7 other Homeschooled graduates all pitched in to give ourselves a night of fun. After spending 5 hours scraping paint and priming walls in my Aunt and Uncle's basement, I met up with the others at one of their homes. We started by driving in a limo (it was a Mercedes ) for about nearly 2 hours, where we proceeded to jam out to Relient K and talk about college, and life in general.   After the limo ride, we arrived at the "Detroi

Time For Fun

So, I'm done with school and I've got 10 days until I'm an AFOL. I figured out my "big", radical thing I'm gonna do before I'm 18 to make me feel like a kid one last time: I'm going to go to Chuck E. Cheeses and hope I don't get kicked out for being too old, even though I'll purchase tokens and all that good jazz.   Last month, 5 guys from my church and I had what we called "Bro-mance". It was quite the interesting experience. The point was, to try to act as femanine as possible for j

Graduation And Stuff

So I'm officially graduated.... is that good? I've got 18 days of childhood left and I've now clue how I'm going to savor them before they're gone.   I received a government grant which is pretty exciting. So long as I don't go to a major university, the government will pay for nearly all of my first four years of college!   My managers at Joe's Crabshack are actually anxious to get me into server training (becoming a waiter) once I'm 18.   I started my temporary 2nd job, scraping pain

Update

Well, I've had quite a lot happen to me as of late and I have a lot to come as well.   My Great Grandmother died last week (my dad's mom's mom) so I spent two days at a Funeral Home and a third day at the funeral itself. Ironically, she died on her 89th Birthday at 1:30 AM, Monday April 21st, 2008. I'm not glad that she's gone, but I am glad for her, because she was suffering a lot towards the end. Four days prior to her death she acknowledged that her Birthday was coming up and was hol

Life Update

*coughs from dust that accumulated on blog*   Well as usual I've been pretty busy. I've been lurking on BZP, checking on OGD, the blogs, and keeping the serials topic updated.   Work's been going great. I'm averaging about $50 cash each night I work + my hourly wage. Even still though, I've been spending a lot lately, but mostly out of necessity. Last week, I had to spend $200 on my car. It needed an oil change; the windshield wipers had to be replaced; the transmission fluid had to be

Stuff

Well I've had a lot of things happen lately. Thankfully, my work schedule was cut from 5 days a week, to 4 days a week, which should ease up some things.   This last Friday, I mysteriously misplaced $80 and have still not found it. Depressing? Yes, but I'm just going to try and pretend it didn't happen and not fret about it. I sold my PSP for $80 (so I sort of got the money back ), added $100.19 to it and bought a new PSP Slim. It is definately without a doubt, better than the old PSP,

Bonus Tracks!

For those of you who know my taste in music, some of my favorite artists are Relient K and Switchfoot.   A few days ago, I was given Switchfoot's "Oh! Gravity." album since I had yet to own it. After that, I went to Wikipedia just to read up on the album. As it turned out, back in 2006 when the album wasn't released yet, if you pre-ordered it, it came with a 3 song EP (called Oh! EP) containing 3 songs not available anywhere else. On top of that, I also found that there were a total of 8 bon

Rest In Peace Beliwa

Rest in peace dude, you're in my prayers.   I never knew Beliwa personally, but I'd read his posts, seen him around the forum and have heard things about him from people who were close to him to some extent. My heart is heavy for this loss. I can only pray that he's in Heaven and that he's enjoying eternal bliss right now.   - TLH

Manic... Tuesday?

Well simi-manic anyways. I get up and do most of my school. After that, I remember that tonight is my night to cook dinner. I already had it all planned, but the thing is, I have to go to work at 4:45 to train the new busser... Luckily, my mom is going to cook it tonight, but I have to leave in an hour to go to a homschooling co-op group for my Chemistry class. By the time it's done, it'll be 3:30 and I'll get home by 4. Meaning I'll have to go straight to work, and also that I'm not gonna

Manic Monday

This has been some Monday...   I sleep in by accident. It's 8 AM, I have to be at work by 9. I go to take a shower and kinda zone out. When I get out, it's 8:30. Work is 20 minutes away. I quickly throw on some clothes, wash my face, and brush my teeth. I completely forget to eat.   I go to work. It takes me 2 hours to open up there as usual. We're out of the stuff to clean the bathrooms with. I have to use gloves, hot water, and a rag as an improvisation. It really stunk.   I g

All Done!

All of the 2008 sets thus far have made their way into my possession.   I'm gonna be babysitting my cousins today from like 2:30 PM until like 7-8-ish PM.   So Bionicle-wise.... now what?   - TLH

1 Down: 1 To Go

I got Mutran & Vican last night before church and I must say, they're not as similar to Chirox & Kirop as you may think. Mutran and Chirox have completely different arms, legs, feet, and wing attatchments. The only similarities are the Kanohi, head, and torso, but all the Phantoka Makuta have those (except for the Kanohi). Vican and Kirop are different as well. They have the same torso piece, head, and Kanohi. Their arms, legs, feet, and hands are completely different. Vican's wing
