Why would there be a pony ban? There's just the same ban there has always been against sexually explicit and inappropriate images, of which the wet mane fad is a part.

It isn't a pony ban.

It's a specific ban of a fad related to MLP that is not appropriate for BZPower. We really want to encourage people to talk about things they like on BZP, especially in the blogs! However, when something breaks the rules, especially in regards to appropriateness, then it cannot be allowed.

'Scuse me for wondering here, but I'm just not seeing a real connection between "wet manes" and "sexually explicit and inappropriate images". They're a little creepy IMO, but the only thing really inappropriate about it were the comments - which I agree, really had to be toned down.

Like I said, the only thing that really needed "toning down" were the comments.

From what I gather, looking at what this wet mane thingy is, it would be like posting a bunch of creepy foot photos in your blog and sigs. It's not really explicit per se but it's fetish material and not really kid-friendly.

I wasn't so much implying a pony ban, but implying that at this rate, many people seem to be complaining which would lead to something bigger.

So basically, they were banned because somebody somewhere on the internet used them in an inappropriate manner. Which can be said for pretty much anything you can think of. Seriously.
