It's not an essential skill but it can be useful.

On the other hand, my experience with bikes involves lots of accidents and injuries... so maybe you avoided something like that. :D

Am I the only one who finds riding a bike pretty much essential. I mean that's my favored method of transportation.

*shakes head at everyone*

What has the world come to?

Biking is awesome. It's a method of exercise and transportation that doesn't involve walking, which makes it cool in my book.

That said, I don't think it's particularly bad that you don't know how to ride a bike, but I do think you (and everyone else who doesn't know how to ride a bike here) are missing out on a nice little hobby.

My three methods of exercise:

Biking, Swimming, and Hiking.

Also what happened to the days when pretty much everyone rode Bikes everywhere.

If not that, then at least the days when the newspaper boy delivered via bike.

...I didn't realize people didn't learn how to ride bikes. :P

I dunno; it's not really necessary, but I do find it a useful skill. Just like someone who can actually speak French (unlike me) in addition to English finds it a useful skill.
