BTW Makuta of Oz, I agree with other posters that this kind of entry makes me uneasy. Couldn't you put the creativity you used for this song to better use working on BIONICLE stories, art, or MOCs that celebrate BIONICLE for what it was, instead of obsessing over what it could have been?

and seriously, the first paragraph of the entry goes to tune with the second pokemon "saga"'s tv show theme.

This is not the sort of thing I had in mind when I recommended using your love for BIONICLE creatively and productively, but it's not my place to tell you what creative work is or isn't valid. If this makes you happy, then by all means continue. Art isn't just about making other people happy, it's also about making yourself happy.

Personally, I find this upsetting and hard to read. But the same applies for a lot of books and songs that have been celebrated as high art, or at least loved by a large number of people.

And I understand that no, chances are there is no art that will make you as happy as you would be if BIONICLE actually returned. But in the meantime, you'll probably do more for your cause by celebrating the theme rather than simply mourning it. How about you try to write something about the things in BIONICLE that made you happy-- about the characters and settings and conflicts and resolutions? It's just a suggestion, and you're not obligated to listen to it-- I have no guarantee that it will even help. But I get the impression that BIONICLE, during its lifetime, had done a lot for you, and I, at least, prefer happy memories to painful ones.

I've gotta admit, bro, you've really inspired me. Making songs off problems with the BIONICLE toyline and fanbase...that really got to me, you know? That whole thing with the "blasphemy" and how people are leaving it behind...that's what I'm talking about؟

I haven't treated anyone like dirt. But Makuta of Oz has said some rather drastic things regarding BIONICLE's return. I'm not flaming him, or calling names, or anything of the sort. What I am doing is voicing concern, as a responsible member of this community, that Makuta of Oz is a little bit too devoted to this lost cause. It's not healthy to tie your only potential source of happiness to the decision of a multimillion dollar company over which you have no control.

It's honestly depressing to watch a fellow BZPowerite pour so much emotion and effort into a crusade that has no chance of achieving its goals. Rather than ignoring him, I'm trying my best to be a responsible community member and express my concerns without ostracizing him from a community that obviously means a lot to him.

What you said above seems more or less fine, IMHO. Like Deevs said, showing concern is one thing, but people are being way too harsh and blunt about it.

If a person sees somebody that needs help with what they feel is a serious problem, how can they feel that going head-on at 100 mph is going to help anything? If they have the awareness to see that a person is truly troubled, they should also have the common sense to approach the situation more carefully and emphatically.

Which is what most of us have been doing. I admit, I was harsh in a few of my earlier posts, but honestly there are a lot of other people who would have said things far worse then I did. MoO has been doing this for FAR longer then this, and most of what people say, he doesn't listen to. So far, at least me personally, I've never seen him comment on trying to work on it. Also, has he ever said if HE is insulted by those saying he needs help? I may be missing something, but I don't think he ever has.

Also, I understand that there are people like that in every fan base. I get it that people like that will always be there, I've talked to them. I WAS one. But if someone like that runs around, and not only disturbs you but a lot of other people, then you can at least try and help. If they say they don't WANT help, or don't NEED it, then back off, sure. I personally have not heard him say that. If he does, then alright, I'll back off. But until then, at least understand that no matter how "harsh" I may be, my intent is to help. And one comment isn't gonna sink the whole ship.
