I've said stupid things too, but I try to let them pass. People who have to say incredibly mean things on the internet should just be ignored. They don't deserve any attention.

We all say things that are incredibly stupid. If someone flames for it, that's their problem.

And please, keep your head on your shoulders. Getting them back on can be annoying.

Who cares what things people who don't know you say or think about you - they don't really know you, so their opinion shouldn't even be a factor.
