On homework and tests

Obsessionist

How on earth am I going to get this done I don't even know. I've had a lot of bad homework nights but the sheer slowness of understanding and summarizing history makes tonight take the cake.

AP/IB testing season is rough.

We're taking the AP tests at my church, though, so I think that entails some sort of home team advantage?

I have the opposite when it comes to history, never understood why people had problems with it. But hey that's just me, to be honest I sorta have the same problem except with calculus. Guh really wish I just stop and focus on it.

...and Calculus is my easiest class save Theories of Knowledge, which basically just functions as a mandatory easy class to serve as a reprieve from our other classes.

How is history easy for you? At least calculus makes inherent, rational, concrete sense. I have an easier time messing with abstract but useful and concrete concepts than memorizing/analyzing history.

History is just complete memorization. I really can't admittedly explain why I find it so easy (Fun fact FDR was the 32nd president of the US, when was he elected? 1932).

Can I borrow your brain please?

I also despise history. Too many dates and names to remember.

I guess the reason I'm so much better at math is because of its nature. With history, every little piece of information you memorize serves only itself. With math, you only need to remember a single formula to answer ALL THE QUESTIONS. I'd rather do some mental legwork over mental find-the-needle-in-the-hay-field.

This is a pretty good analysis.

Argh you have no idea how easy it is to memorize all of the answers as opposed to work the same tedious formula over and over again. *yawns* I'd rather watch Chima.
