It's simple; we kill the YouTube commenters.

I doubt it's really that simple for a lot of YouTubers, though, particularly those who get thousands of comments within a few days (or less). I mean, who wants to individually go through all those comments? Sounds like a waste of time for something that's a minor annoyance at worst.

I guess the solution depends on your point of view and what kind of youtuber you are. If you're someone like me who almost never puts up videos, it's not a problem. If you're someone who pretty much makes their living off of making videos, or get THOUSANDS of views per day, it's just a little time consuming to go through EVERY single one. Plus, as soon as you get through the list there is likely to be another list of them ready for review. Sure, it would keep the spam down, but it's not very time-intuitive.

We could just encourage more constructive criticism and critical thinking in our fellow viewers, but where's the fun in that?

Even if I did upload videos I still wouldn't care about the comment section. Some of those comments are great.
