I clicked the "preview post" button, and that's when the poll broke.

Tried it out again with a different topic and the same thing happened.

I tried it too, and got the same result. If you want, you can make a ticket for it, but I'll probably bring it up with the appropriate people in any case.

Just wanted to say that the same thing happened to me the other day with this topic.

Made a poll, previewed post, and the poll didn't work. But I was able to add it again by editing the post.

According to Black Six, it's a software issue, most likely. There are plans to update, but no date has been set in stone yet.
