Ugh... I had to plan a week-long trip to somewhere a few days ago for a school project, and I chose Billund. It was frustrating. Glad to hear it wasn't always like this.

But anyway, I'm glad to hear that the sets are getting more complex, although I doubt people will be satisfied, and am unsure whether I'll consider it an improvement. This year was fantastic, and I'd like to keep with some of the quality we had this year in, for instance, the Zyglak and the Pit War Tortoise.

Awesome! By complicated, do you mean, like, Exo-Toa complicated?

I'm hoping for complicated as in the original Rahi, although that's probably a bit too much to expect.

Wow, the storyline is mapped all the way to 2011? That's great! I can't wait for the more complicated sets in 2008. I built one of the big towers from the 2006 playsets, and I just thought it was too flimsy and easy to build. Using creatively-placed small pieces in place of a big, bulky piece would be great. *gets in time machine out of impatience*

Glad that you and the other people managed to create some nice story for 2009-2011. Also, I'm very happy on what you said about the sets. I'd love to make the larger sets to go past to the 2005 Titans complexity, if not even more (altough I suppose that's unlikely).

YES! Thank you! The main reason I by the Titan sets is because they're complex, and now it's returning in 2008! I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks for the info Greg, I'm now a very happy man.

As others have said, it's great that we're getting complex builds, but as noted, we'll have to wait to see just how high they meet our expectations.

I'm hoping some will be in the $20 range....

I like the Exo toa. It was my second 2002 set, and I spent all afternoon building it. (I was 7) then put kopaka in... waited too show it too my dad, then kept kopaka in ther for nearly a month

The return of difficult sets is a good thing. I think you and lego makers have had many good ideas, I'm sure.

I know you can't answer to this but:

Chocolate Frogs - You know I cannot give you an answer on what characters are in or out two years down the road. Suffice it to say, none of this has changed the plans we have for the Nuva. As for your comment regarding price -- as currently constituted, the sets I am referring to will be more expensive than $20. That is why there is a risk -- $20 or $30 sets sell okay for BIONICLE, ones higher than that have traditionally not done as well.

Funny thing is, without Legoland, Billund would be a practically dead town -- most people who live are in some way affiliated with LEGO. Glad to hear it's a popular place, that means activity and life, which should be good.

And I'm savagely drooling over those news of the complicated sets! Count on me in supporting LEGO's direction that way!

It sounds very productive indeed, and I can't wait to hear more about the results. As always, nice to hear cool behind-the-scenes stuff direct from the source.

Personally, I'm very interested in how the second-half 2007 sets do in the market, they interest me more than the playsets from the last couple of years. Vehicles instead of castle-type sets seem they would be more popular. And I've always been attached to the original Rahi, even though I know they didn't sell well... I've always thought they were some of the best-designed sets of the entire Bionicle line (specifically, Tarakava). And the Exo-Toa is another of my personal favorites.

things bigger than titans eh? im looking forward to those. lately i havent felt the urge to buy any of the sets. i mean i like the way they look but theyre just not interesting and complex enough for me to spend my money on them. so im really hoping for the complex styles to be good...maybe gears again?
