I love brain teasers. Always have, always will. Half the fun is solving them. The other half is telling them. So, I present a brain teaser that should keep all readers entertained for some time. The best part is, everybody works together to help figure it out and you don't even have to be that smart to join in! The only skills required is being able to ask a "yes or no" question!

 

Here's how it works: I'll give you the scenario below and you try to help solve the brain teaser by simply asking "yes or no" questions. It took me a while to decide how I would answer the questions. Replying to each poster's questions would just mean that somebody who's trying to find the answers for other poster's questions would have to scroll down looking for my answering post. And if they should happen to miss it...

 

I'm making a short story long here. The bottom line is I'll edit the answers into the posts that ask the question. If somebody accidentally re-asks a question, I'll just delete it to get it out of the way. Oh, and for those who don't have an extensive enough vocabulary, if I answer a question with "irrelevant", that means that the answer doesn't matter (i.e. Was his hat blue? "Irrelevant" means that the color of hat doesn't matter).

 

Also, I don't think anybody out there would've heard this brain teaser before, but just in case you have, please don't ruin it for everybody else by revealing the answer or just asking all the "right" questions, okay? ;)

 

Now then, since you know how it works, let's see what we're dealing with here...

 

 

There is a man lying dead in a field of green surrounded by bicycles. He died from a bullet to the chest. Where is he, and why was he killed?

 

 

So, there you have it! Ask away! Just remember, only "yes or no" questions!

Yes. (Dang! Already? Are you sure you haven't heard this one already? :sly:)

 

Haven't heard it. Just simple logic. You never said it was grass or anything. :P

Is there anything special about the bikes?

Yes. (If they had no significance there wouldn't be much point in their being there, now would there?)

No. (The bicycles are not responsible for causing his death.)

I've never heard this one, but I've got some ideas...

 

Were the "bicycles" Bicycle brand playing cards?

YES. (Wow, this is going to wind up shorter than I thought...)

 

I thought of this one because not 30 minutes before I came on here I was practicing a magic trick with that brand of cards.

Edit: I actually know quite a few of these types of riddles (but I didn't know that one), I'll share some with you sometime, they are pretty good sometimes!

=D I was right! I think I'll make my final guess now.

 

Okay, from what's been answered, he's indoors on a manmade green substance, been shot in the chest, and is surrounded by playing cards.

 

I'd say, this guy was cheating at a card game and the others shot him! The "where" is on a card table!

 

I feel so smart. =D
