Anyway, if you want my opinion, I'd just try to balance out the amount of BIONICLE purchases and system purchases. But that's just me.

If there are pieces that you never use, make a rly awsom 100000/10 MOC and auction it off or something. I can imagine it'd fetch some good money.

Yes, more system and less Bionicle.

(Ever since probably bley some/most of the sets I've had the option of getting let me down. They just don't look cool. Granted, I've been able to find plenty for MOCing pieces, but that's after I disassemble the sets.)

But a lot of the system sets look spiffy. Piece-wise and in general. And you don't have to spend a lot to get a lot. Look around, look for sales, high piece count at low prices, minifigs you want, etc, etc. Look for special pieces or sets with a lot of one piece.

(You mentioned the Rogue Shadow. Although it is $50, I've seen it in person and it looks cool (Though people complain about the asymmetricalness, even though it is not Lego's fault and what's wrong with having asymmetrical shapes?) and has some amazing black and bley pieces.)

(The chess set is pricey however. And it'll just sit there being used for chess games. I'd suggest using the $300 on sets that you will enjoy building and playing with and then using their pieces to make amazing things in whatever style you choose.)

And the Vehicles have rather good parts, I think.
