Not anymore. I think we've got a good 5-to 7 cm here now, which is more snow in one day then I have seen in the last 5 to 6 years.

Black Ice? I guess you don't get as much snow since it's very close to the coast...but then again it's Canada and the olympic winter-games are coming ^^

Black ice is Ice mixed with oil and dirt on the rode. You can't see it until you are swerving out of control from skidding over it.

It's way more dangerous then normal ice and is the cause of most of the crashes here in BC.

As for the winter Olympics. I predict the extensive use of man made snow.
