So Christmas Was Ruined

So I was really hoping that I'd get permission to get a DS for Christmas, right?

I mean, what are the chances the parents wouldn't want to give that to me? It's free!

So anyway mom just told me that for sure I'm not getting it.

Ask for a PSP, then hack it to play DS games....

Yus.

Actually go out and buy on right now. Wrap it and make it look like they (or Santa) gave it to you. In the morning sneak it down with you and secretly put it under the tree. Then get to it and be like "OMG THANKS SO MUCH I LOOOOOVE YOU GUYS!!!"

I know how you feel. My Mom says there is no chance at all I will be getting any Glatorian for Christmas. So I went out and bought Gresh. XDDD

Seriously man, why do they seem so heckbent on you not having a DS? It's stupid, frankly.

Problem is they have all my money. They haven't paid me in moooooooonths...

(not to say that I won't get paid, as soon as I have something to spend it on that they approve of I can get it)

There are actually some decent reasons, I just don't like them. :(

I spend too much time on the computer already (alternative? Give me something to work on, people!), and I don't do enough exercise.

Edit: Wait PSPs are more expensive. O_o

And I don't want one.

Hi Bunda,

Thought I'd let you know I have never had a game system.

Well, until a year and a half ago when my dad brought home his old Atari from my grandma's house. But that doesn't quite count.

Granted, I've had the computer, with a few games. But nothing seriously huge, especially in the past few years.

Why? Because my parents urged me to do other things. Yes, way back in like second grade I loathed my friends who had game systems and loved going to their homes to play them. Later on I just accepted it and had fun at my friends' houses and realized I would not get one.

Now I am glad I don't have one. (Arg, parent wisdom strikes again!!! Grr...) Each system costs uber amounts of money and then it's like another $30-$50 per game. Plus extra controllers and memory cards if the system requires it. Then it starts taking over your life and you just have to beat a game and some/a lot of the games aren't even good for you mentally and all; I'm enjoying just having my computer and maybe installing Portal and then doing other stuff because I don't have time for that stuff already, so I wouldn't have time to go and beat all those games out there. It's bad enough I don't build with Lego enough.

Merry Christmas!

(Though if you parents get you one that'd be great, on your part.)

I have never spent more than $25 on a single game.

Anywayz, parents. Yargh. On the other hand, video games are a bit anti-social. Every time I play mine, I think "Wow I must seem like a hermit or something."

I'm sure you can find something cool to do instead of DS.

Besides, isn't Pokemon the same on any console? =P

Why exclude the GBC, GBA, and N64 versions? It makes them feel unwanted.

See also: No internet connectivity.

But Stadium was fun. hehe.png

WHY EXCLUDE THE GB VERSIONS? :P

CF speaks some truth. I own two game systems: A computer, and a Gameboy XP. I have a few games on my computer, but I mostly use it for schoolwork. The XP, which I've wanted since elementary school, I don't use simply because I have better things to do than sit around and exercise my thumbs. Like CF, I'm thankful I've grown up without them. They cost too much and can be too addicting. I've seen kids who do nothing but play their DS system, and it almost disturbs me.

But, yeah, it's the not the end of the world if you get no DS. Spend the money on some other recreational activity, and don't let it ruin your Christmas. ;)

Well wait, how strong are they?

If they were to combine their physical abilities, could they really overpower you if you just obtained the funds (which I understand is yours to begin with) and walked out the door to go shopping?

Or are they blackmailing you somehow?

Remember, you've got the chemically explosive fire of youth on your side.

I'd rather not go against my parents. ;)

Besides, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. They never said I couldn't get one, just not now. It's a very long tunnel though.

Well hey, I'm not here to tell you how to live your life or anything, just sayin...

I used to be forced to go to church every Sunday but a headlock and some noogies later I'm sittin' there watchin' Beast Wars in front of the tube know what I'm sayin?

Whoa-ho there JINZO. You're liable to start a worldwide rebellion. =P

Hey, look next to this comment. Apparently it's okay to crush Bunda's feelings. Neat.
