Buying Proto
I am noticing that there are members out there who seem put off with "buying" proto.
First, where do you get off and say that donating to a website to keep it running does not merit 2 proto points? That money, whatever amount you dish out, can go to anything else. A Lego set. A comic book. A video game. A meal at Fridays. A portion of your savings.
Members say it is the easiest way of gaining proto. It is not. Are you willing to part with 7 dollars? 11 dollars? How about 35 dollars?
Now sending in news. That is the easiest way of earning proto. I received proto just for spotting out an article in a magazine, and yet members aren't saying that is wrong. However sending in your money that you earned for mowing the lawn, and the first thing you want to spend it on is a site so it stays running. It is like donating to the people who ring the bells at Macys. Whether it be a penny or 100 dollars, it is still something that goes to something bigger, and your charity is always rewarded with karma. And what is proto? Karma.
