Catra Posted January 28, 2010 Not entirely Disney's fault, these movies are based on children's fairy tales Quote Link to comment
Nukaya Posted January 28, 2010 And don't forget that some of them don't really even have much of a visible personality... Prince Naveen is pretty snazzy, though. He's got personality, can play music, AND has the ability to mince food, so he'd probably eventually make a good cook. And he tries to be charming, but tends to get thwarted unless he's being genuine. Oh, and he's friends with a jazz-singing alligator. That's pretty cool. -Nukaya Quote Link to comment
Turakii #1 Lavasurfer Posted January 28, 2010 And if you throw in The Emperor's New Groove, you discover that if you have a name, definite personality, the awesomeness of being a llama, and you become a decent guy by the end of the movie, then whoever wrote the script won't even bother throwing in the slightest hint of a girl to fall for you. Turakii Except for that like thirty-second blip at the beginning where he denounces the potential brides with "Let's take a look-see. Hate your hair. Not likely. Yikes. Yikes. Yikes. And, let me guess, you have a great personality." I think that's got to be the least amount of time any Disney animation has spent on the topic of romance, and I applaud them for it. More time for the much more interesting and hilarious crazy llama running-arounds. -Nukaya Quote Link to comment
Kylus Posted January 28, 2010 Yeah, that pretty much explains it. Luckily, this is only Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. There's still Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Adventureland, Main Street USA, Liberty Square... and EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, if you were to take a monorail out of the Magic Kingdom and take a bus to a different park. Wyrd Bid Ful Araed Posted January 29, 2010 I know the guy above Aladdin holding the flower is from The Little Mermaid and called Eric. All the others are just Prince or Prince Charming as far as I'm aware Quote Link to comment
