  1. Sidorak. I'm really falling in love with the G2 sets, but sidorak is still my all time fave.
  2. Already buying duplicates of the summer wave. Please lego, just take all of my money, I don't want it anyways apparently.

  3. Put this guy together last night, figured I'd share him here. This is probably one of my favorite combiners ever. Thing is ssaaaweeeeet.
  4. A strange mountain on bara magna, one that travelers often do not return from. A dark gray cloud rests about half way up the steep rock face, hiding the upper half of the mountain. Many have ventured up past those clouds but none have ever returned. Scroparitas
  5. It seems like most lego stores have them on shelves by now. I stopped by a toys r us last night and they said they should have them within the next day or two.
  6. Both lego stores in connecticut have the sets on shelves, for anyone nearby looking.
  7. I always open them unless they're a duplicate of a Unique character and I don't need the parts for a moc. I think the only set I still have sealed is Sidorak and that is because it is a duplicate. I don't understand keeping lego sets sealed for "collection" purposes. They're legos, they're supposed to be assembled. Things like transformers or action figures that come in transparent plastic can understandably be kept sealed, mostly because you can see the toy for exactly what it is without opening them, but legos make no sense to leave boxed up. I always try to buy sealed sets when I'm going back and buying stuff from G1 and I always open it and build it right away.
  8. The TTV forum is all over the mistakes on the lego website. Tons of things are grouped incorrectly, and ekimu is spelt ekimo on the build page. What the heck is going on there. Maybe the typo I could see making it through the to website by accident but all the other stuff? Super inconsistent and not a good look. Hopefully they fix it all.
  9. The blurb for the arena mentions a specific game the okotans played called the "hammer flush". I hope we get more info on this game at some point.
  10. Yeah they got rekt pretty dang hard. I mean he is supposed to be the big bad of this year more or less, so it's not going to be an easy fight for the toa. I'm also glad to see Scorpio as a horde villain honestly, if only for the personal justification of buying duplicates of him and warrior. I like that they changed up the masks as to not be identical in the animations. These definitely look awesome and way more action packed than the winter animations. Stoked for August!!
  11. Same thing here. Yeah this is pretty much my situation. My girlfriend thinks it's cool along with a couple of my friends, but none of them are really interested in the specifics. I'll just send them pictures I take of characters in action poses and usually get a response along the lines of "looks cool dude" I'm hoping to make an IRL bionicle friend one day. This forum is the only place I have as an outlet for my opinions and emotions regarding bonkle and sometimes I wish I had someone to talk to
  12. Happy birthday bzp!!! May you have many more.
  13. Tahu 2015 definitely has the look he should have always had. His little wing blade antenna things are really an excellent touch. He looks like a leader for real this time. I also dig the chest plates as shin armor. I know hero factory sets did that as well, but I didn't pay attention to hf stuff at all. The new mask of fire is also pretty awesome. It may not be as iconic looking as the hau, but it's definitely an awesome mask and does bear some nice resemblance to the og hau. He also looks awesome in his gold mask. The only other toa I really like in his gold mask is kopaka. The rest of the 2015 toa kind of clash with their gold masks. OG tahu I didn't have until much much later in time. The mata I had in 2001 were gali, kopaka, and lewa. For some reason I didn't want him that badly as a kid. Now looking back, he's definitely one of the best mata sets. The hau just is thee mask of bionicle 2001-10. His fire sword rules too. His nuva swords are some of the best weapons ever in the og line.
  14. For the most part they're all in boring poses, but that is due to my lack of room. I just hit 90 sets recently and I need to put up more shelves so I can spread them out and pose them well.
  15. The gold clashes on all of them except Tahu and kopaka. Their regular colors look much better to me. I have them all displayed wearing their regular mask, with their gold mask in front of them. I have a second Tahu in my bedroom on display wearing his gold mask though, he looks pretty sweet in his.
  16. Oh wow on page 95 posted to that imgur compilation, kopaka makes a joke about lewa being the master of air. Pretty good G1 reference if you ask me.
  17. I would have said the Titan Mata Nui, but those 2009-10 pieces just break so easily. Two or three Y joints are cracked on mine
  18. Oh man that video has me so excited for the summer animations. Kulta looks so evil and awesome. Im excited for scorpio so show up as well. This is gonna be awesome.
  19. paid $40 for mine. the guy had it listed at 150 obo so I haggled him down
  20. trans scorpio mask already on eBay for $100+ lame

oops sorry. changed my user name like a week or two ago O.O

  22. Purely subjectively I would say Sidorak. Ultimately, he's my favorite set and character. Some other favorites would certainly be maxilos, krekka, and 03 makuta.
  23. Yes they said in the video it was intentional
  24. So I did a comparision and the original Kakama has eye holes that are around double the size of the new mask's eye holes. When on the head, the old mask's visible eye area is around 1.5 times bigger. I didn't like the original Kakama much either; I think it's the weakest of the 6 Mata masks and like the AA Rockoh T3 version the best. The lighting of the eyestalk with the mask is a bigger though - it's quite a lot weaker than the other masks and the blue eyestalk is dim even when held very close to a light. I'm not saying the dimensions are the exact same, but when i look at the new mask of stone, I see a kakama. When I look at the new mask of fire, I see a hau. The point of the new masks was to resemble their predecessor, but make it something new and original. I think the new mask of stone did this very well. That's all I'm really trying to say. I'm glad its different than the original, the last thing I would have wanted would be for the new masks to be clones of the old ones. I think the new mask of stone captured the sharp and vent filled look of the original kakama. The eyes are narrow and sharp, the cheeks are large, the forehead is sloped. It bears a lot of similarity to the original.
