  3. Thanks man! Yeah anywhere on the arm is usually pretty easy going. My back and neck were the worst.
  4. I definitely prefer Ekimu with the MoCr. He looks so noble and brave with it on.
  5. I should preface this quick story by stating that I am actually a professional tattooer. I work in a small city in Connecticut at a small shop with one other dude, my boss. I'm on instagram (@janitorjake) if you want to check my shtuff out. Okay, here goes…… I tattooed a guy today who I have tattooed before. I did a weird tribal design from some movie on the back of his neck probably a year-ish ago. The back of the neck is actually a pretty painful spot, and very uncomfortable to sit to get. As far as my memory serves me, he sat pretty well for that one. I don't remember him moving or flinching or anything. Today was a different story…. He came in and asked to get matching tattoos on the outsides of his ankles. I figured it would be a breeze, considering he had sat well for the back of his neck. Booooooyyyy was I wrong. Literally from start to finish for BOTH of the tattoos, he was screaming and writhing in pain. Not only is this very annoying, but it also makes it impossible to make the tattoo look nice. Imagine trying to draw something on a piece of paper thats flapping around in the wind. The only problem with this is that once it's there, it ain't coming off. It makes doing my job basically impossible, and the end result is always a lesser quality tattoo. I managed to make them not look terrible, but they would have looked infinitely better had he sat still. Let this be a lesson for anyone reading this who is planning on getting tattooed ever. SIT STILL PLLEEAAASSEEE. I'd rather someone yell in pain than wiggle even the slightest bit. It hurts. It always hurts. Some spots are way worse than others, but every spot hurts. Think about this before getting something, and make sure you're ready to deal with it. Also if you want a bionicle tattoo, hit me up because I want to do more. You can check out the ones I've done on my instagram.
  6. How do you feel about Mechenstein's leg posability? Other reviews have complained that the number of positions the legs can be in are limited by the shape of the ankles and feet, and I found the same to be the case when building it on Lego Digital Designer. Thats the only downside to the set. The way the sets are designed, a single ball joint acts as the ankle. Since the mechenstein is pretty top heavy, the back side of the ankle has a 2x3 wedge piece sticking out for extra support in the back. You really can only pose its legs in a regular standing position. Zane's mech is a little less top heavy, so the ankles don't need extra support, and therefore you get just a little bit more posability. They both lack knees though, so they both can't really move their legs all that much. If only they had knees, they'd both be perfect. Other than that, I think they are the most impressive of the mechs. They certainly look the best to me. I do enjoy posing my sets and playing with them/taking pictures of them so I guess i should've thought harder before making my pick. I guess I still like them the best, but I really love jay's electro mech as well. Honestly, my favorite set on the list is the mech dragon, but I felt like it doesn't belong on there since it's not a humanoid mech like every other set on the list.
  7. I literally just got the Titan mech battle last night and I really love it. I meant to vote for mech-enstein but I clicked zane's Titan mech by accident. Both of them honestly rule though and are probably the best two mechs we've seen yet. Jays electro mech is really nice as well though, the folding sword/wings I've always really liked.
  8. How about 07-10 pieces that don't break.
  9. 2005. Mutant Toa. Evil spiders. Sidorak. Web of shadows. Vakama doing tons of really dark stuff. Most of my favorite things in bionicle all came from one year. I know this opinion isn't very popular, but I stand by it. This was the year I was most into bionicle as a younger person, before I entered my dark ages.
  10. Got a sealed brutaka in the mail a week or so ago. I don't know why I didn't get that set in 06. When my parents let me pick out a Titan back then, I went with axonn. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  11. Oh man totally forgot about helryx. That would have been a sweet set.
  12. I've been paying attention waiting for one I really want and I should finally have one when this round of auctions ends. I reaaaalllllly hope web of shadows ones show up some day. I would so so so love to have one from any of the scenes with sidorak and roodaka. That movie is probably my favorite part of bionicle lore.
  13. DANG I lol'd hard On topic: I'm going to agree with everyone saying the codrex. It seems like everything else is either useless or has already been scrapped.
  14. Technically the 06 "good guy" has since been canonized as turaga lhikan. I think it's a fitting set for him, although I guess a slightly bigger and more finished looking would have been nice.
  15. The same was true of the one-handed geared Toa in G1. In a society dominated by righties, you don't see a lot of left-handed action figures. I mean, there were some arguably left-handed figures, but they happened after gears were long gone. The kulta/ekimu/scorpio combiner has the gear function in the left arm. Jus sayyiinnn
  16. I like that usage of the Kal shield on the stand. Also the ant in the antman set is awesome. I got mine before they fixed the leg issue though, so I'm tempted to get another.
  17. I've been addictively playing clicker heroes for the last three months pretty much. I just can't stop.
  18. Yes! Like it's nice having her there to pack while I'm at work, but a majority of our stuff is hers and we need to rent a storage unit now and everything can't be done easily.
  19. I did not realize there was actually an entire page on the site that showed blog posts. Maybe people will read this. OOPS.
  20. The cartoon probably has a lot to do with it. Since the main "drive" for the line is the cartoon, people probably think it's a line that's more for kids than adults. The same could be said about Chima. Personally, I loooove Ninjago and buy a large number of Ninjago sets. I literally woke up early on the 18th to go to my local lego store before work and buy the temple of airjitzu.
  21. I ordered a whole mess of stuff from brick link and I'm not realizing ill probably never use a lot of it. oops.

  22. This is actually the first blog I have ever had, with the exception of tumblr I guess. I only had it for a few months though, and that was like 5 years ago anyways. Does tumblr even count as a real blog? I don't think it does. It's definitely filled with people who think that they and their opinion "matters" but other than that it's all "art" and junk. Is a blog even real? No. I don't think anyone is going to ever read this, which doesn't really matter. I just want a place to write out some of the things in my head that 1. aren't too incriminating and 2. so maybe one day I can read old stuff and rofl over how dumb I am. I am literally standing at a counter at work typing this on my bosses laptop. I had my own but it was rendered useless like 2 years ago. I got it when I started college in 2009; it was a requirement that you purchased a macbook. It was actually part of the first semester tuition. During orientation week, everyone went and got their laptop, and it came preloaded with all the appropriate programs and junk we would need for our adventure at music school. I went to Berklee College of Music, and I dropped out after three semesters. I started in January 2009 and I bailed by May 2010. That place succckkkedddd. I completely hated it, and hated myself the entire time I was there. I dropped out mainly to hang out with my friends and play in bands, which is ironic since I was at music school to theoretically learn to play in a band better, and then I just left to actually go play in bands with my friends. Weirdness. That was weird. Back on track..... I've been living with my girlfriend for the past year, and now we are moving back in to my parents house. We are going to take over the basement, and rule our lego kingdom from it. I have to be out of the apartment I'm currently in by the 31st, so it's crunch time. The whole thing is putting insane stress on me and my lady, which is to be expected I suppose. It still sucks. I wish moving was easier. I have all of my lego stuff moved in already, to my parents, and I have already started setting up my bonkles where I want them. Im going to be limited to pretty just my G2 figs and my favorites from G1. I had literally every lego set I own on display at my apartment, but there is not nearly as much room in my parents basement. That is honestly the biggest downside of this move to me. I loved having an army of bionicle stuff all over my place, along with star wars and ninjago and lego movie sets all over the place as well. Im going to try and keep some ninjago sets from this year built and on display, but we'll see how much room I really have after we're fully moved in. This is dumb. To the zero people that read this, thanks? I guess? LATER.

  24. Your missing that, in this book, Ryder is adapting the story episodes from the website - and in those, Kopaka's mask isn't stolen when they fight the Skull Warriors. In that context, the lack of that scene becomes more apparent - they only had nine 90-second episodes to work with, and they opted for fitting other things in instead of an additional 'Toa gets mask stolen' scenario.I didn't forget that, that's why I'm questioning why they Included it in the set and then not in the animation. Either they decided there wasn't enough room or someone just really dropped the ball. You would think that they would have developed a lot of this stuff around the same time, and with the different limitations in mind. I know the web-isodes were made a while after the sets were designed and ready to go, but if they included the mask in the set, you'd think one of the points they specifically wanted to get across in the videos would be the masks getting stolen, otherwise why put them in the sets? I get that it adds more "collectibles" but if they weren't going to be key story elements, then they could have not included them and have had a little more budget room to add to the figures or whatever. Now I'm just blabbering
