  1. IC Kanohi - Kini-Nui

The Fe-Matoran Councilor paused, “Toa Stannis has influence on Barraki Aurax? I … was not aware of that. That could affect things, depending on what his influence is. If it is alright, can you tell us a bit more about it? I am not the most familiar with the League’s new leader. Or, it’s older leaders.”

He swallowed and continued, “And about sacrifices, sorry. I know I am naive. I … I know that sacrifices must be made. I know that rationally at least, if not emotionally. I just … in all honesty I am a bit uncomfortable with mentioning them so casually. But maybe if it was subtle, it would be easier to ignore what we were discussing.

Kanohi sighed, and then once more caught sight of Vulimai’s rusted mask. He tried not to gag, he could practically feel the jagged texture against his skin. He swallowed though, he had a duty. ”A-Akiri Vulimai, sorry. Just, textures can mess with me. But, do remind me to ask you a question after we finish this decision. It’s not about the Vahki.

    IC Kanohi - Kini-Nui

Kanohi flinched, but not because of Vulimai. The Akiri had asked only to delay for now which … made sense. It was disheartening, but it made sense. Kini-Koro would need to prepare for the worst, as would Tobduk-Koro. They would both need defenses, shelters, and plans in case the league bombed the portals to sever the two villages. They would need plans to protect life. They would need stockpiles onto survive on if they couldn’t shepherd, water to live on, it would time. And with that beast out there, they needed to be ready even if they succeeded.

No, instead he was disturbed by Councilor NU’s casual suggestion to dismiss any people sent to free the Vahki. To deny any involvement. To abandon them. He … he had just praised the virtue of Unity. It was … he knew Mata-Nui was no kind god, he knew that it might even be smart to deny that they had broken the truce. But th-the ruthlessness.

Memories resurfaced, Vahki marching in Metru-Nui, guarding all ports, when he was there he saw them prevent a few former slaves from Stelt, the panic attack and them blasting him. The weeks of interrogation, study, the staves made the memories faint, but as the vigilante Kanohi he could remember Vahki brainwashing Matoran, enforcing constant labor, hunting any stragglers, how they hunted Toa Stannis…

He shook his head. That … that was the work of Dume, the Turaga who had at least one Matoran killed. And he … Matoran society was prejudicial, he had a bias, he probably misremembered the details. He had never been smart or able to handle conflict he … his perspective was not reliable on this.

Finally he said, “I … I so many died in the Impact. I … I don’t think we can sacrifice more. I … I suppose if we could have Toa use Iden to puppet mindless drones, have them do it. I … I think Knichou could make drones easily enough. Or maybe backups of the Tobduk-Koro Vahki. If it is important enough.” He swallowed and looked at Nale. “I … I am not a good mask maker, I am better than I was in my homeland, but even then, I know at least what masks are meant to look like.” Meaning he was pretty sure Knichou now wore a Legendary Mask, and well, he knew one had last been in Metru-Koro, and given all the things built in Kini-Koro, well, Kanohi was a fool, but not completely oblivious.

  3. IC Kanohi - Kini-Nui

Kanohi winced, and looked away, embarrassed and ashamed. The repercussions of this idea was starting to really hit him. It was … he wasn’t sure what to do. But he … he had a duty to continue. N-no, he and the Vahki had Unity, they were kin from the flood. He … he had to honor that unity.

I … I realize now just how important this is. I do not know what to do, and it would affect many lives either way. And I am sure Councilor NU will explain this better than me. But, it’s … Councilor NU has alerted me to the fact that most Vahki still are slaves of the League.

We M-Matoran have little right to judge. It … I do not know if you know of Kilo, he was one of the explorers who found where Tobduk-Koro was founded, as well as helped find the Great Disks of Earth and Stone. He also was an early model of robot called a Kralhi that were replaced by the Vahki. And when the Vahki replaced his people … the Matoran ordered them to slaughter any Kralhi who refused to die. We … we ordered a genocide because we decided a people had become obsolete. And we that a people did not count as alive.

The Fe-Matoran swallowed, “the Vahki should not be forced to keep serving anyone, including Matoran or Toa. We … I wish to liberate the Vahki from control of the League. This would likely violate the truce between us and the league. Unless we could convince Barraki Aurax to free them, but I do not know how. Nor do I know how we could free them. If we built a new hive, it would likely have less influence than the Metru-Nui ones. It might be possible to have the hives, but I am not tech savvy enough to know how.

Councilor Kanohi leaned on his staff, “I … I do not know how to proceed. I … I do not want a renewed war. I do not want more d-death. But the order of slavery is no peace at all. At the same time, if we did try to free them, Barraki Aurax might blame you too. Kini-Koro could be caught in the crossfire, regardless of whether or not you agree to help this plan. And that would not be fair to you.

He looked at Vulimai’s feet, unable to match her gaze. “I … a wise Vortixx reminded me once that the greatest virtue of ours is Unity, the bonds we have together. I … I am sure that something must be done, but I believe it should be done with consent from Kini-Koro as well as Tobduk-Koro. So p-please, any advice, any suggestion you have, any concern, please let us work through them together.

  4. Karzahni, might as well explain that old plot point. Not sure if I will use her sooner than later, just giving me the option.

    Name: Kardaka

    E5361160-92FA-4340-A4E9-7D3E3023E8BD.jpeg

    Breed: Turaga of Stone

    Faction: Life

Brief Description: a Yellowish-Orange and Metru Gray Turaga, her build is fairly muscular with somewhat thick armor, she has light green eyes and heartlight, she wears a Noble Kiril and has a pair of big feet, her running speed is slow and lumbering. Carved into her armor are simple words like “compassion” “peace” and “penance.” Dangling from her thigh are a few pouches filled with pebbles.

Background: A Turaga of Stone, only a few months ago she was a Toa of Stone wandering Zakaz. Haunted by a past she barely remembered, she believes her fellow Toa were slavers and abusers, whose cruelty and greed doomed the world, before the richest of her kind fled in an ark. Out of guilt she had traveled the island since then to help anyone in need, weathering sand storms and the swamp as her penance. When the Impact happened, she found many survivors suffering and wounded in the north. Taking pity on them she used her element to build them huts made of stone, used her Kiril to mend their tools, and used her Toa Power to heal their injured. In the end she used the last of her Toa Power, turning herself into a Turaga. She then left this “Po-Koro” and resumed her wandering to help others across Zakaz. Since becoming a Turaga she is weaker in many ways, and despite more than a month passing she still struggles to adjust to her current stature.

Flaws: Kardaka is pacifist to a fault, unwilling to hurt another being. To this end she relies on using her Badge of Office and her power over pebbles to herd Rahi and other enemies. She also is unused to her status as a Turaga, both in her proportions and her more limited power. She believes her people have committed horrible things, and while stoic about it, she believes she is evil and therefore must constantly make amends. She also is physically slow, as her big feet and shorter legs to not lend themselves to sprinting.

Powers: Kardaka is a Turaga of Stone, giving her limited control over the element of stone, which she mostly uses to control small pebbles and make them into loose constructs. She wears and can access the powers of a Noble Kiril, letting her repair her equipment.

Breed Quirk/s: As a Turaga of Stone she is stronger than most Turaga, letting her carry her tools and supplies more easily.

Equipment: She carries pouches of pebbles to supply herself with her element, and has a long pinching staff for her Badge of Office that she uses to keep Rahi at bay, as well as to rescue people, artifacts, and Rahi she cannot reach. She carries a few supplies on her back like a bedroll, a Lightstone, and a canteen.

  5. IC “Collector” - Tobduk-Koro

Collector sighed, that was not much help. They couldn’t exactly abandon this place to go on an adventure, they recalled what happened last time. They had a duty toTobduk-Koro. But more than that, the village needed unity, they needed to be unified, and everyone cared for. They could not leave on some errand.

Still, it was interesting that the Admin relied on a network of Suva and Ruins for its computing power. Given what they knew, there were likely twelve servers, and if only two were unengaged, that suggested the rest had all been activated, at least partly. Which suggested a lot more treasures hunting than they had suspected,

Still, that was not relevant to now. So instead they began to look over the walls of the temple, tracing the ruins with their hands. As they worked they tried to keep their back to Ulkarr, hopefully letting the Aspect find whatever secret the ruin held. It was regretful they could not help, but they assumed their forced ignorance would be payment enough for the information earlier.

As Collector felt the walls and looked around, attempted to use their Kiril to patch up scratch or dent they saw or felt, particularly in the chamber of the NUVA Door. The leak that transformed Arkius had been there, if it happened again…

Now that the Nuva Door has been activated, can you tell us more of this ruin’s purpose?” They asked abruptly, “I believe you claimed that what happened to Toa Arkius had merely been a side effect.” A thought struck them suddenly, “And why were you deactivated anyway? If each ruin and Suva needs to be manually turned back on, what had turned each of them off?

IC Mahrika - The Suva of Fire

The Desecrated Ga-Matoran rubbed her head, trying to think. As she paced she heard a groan, and looked up to see Ollem sweating extensively, even as he slid on the boots. “Take a break,” she encouraged, “I will keep working on the puzzle, you take care of yourself.” He nodded vaguely and left the boiling hot center of the Suva, leaving her alone with Vokarda.

Four is red, two is cream, one is dark green. Red/four is the only one to face a cardinal direction: north. There are three rings in the temple that are color coded to the statues. Lining the rings up with the statues and spinning them in complete circles did nothing.” She muttered to herself, trying to provoke an idea.

I suppose the rings might need to be turned a certain amount from the starting position of the statues. Like maybe green needs to be turned one segment, cream two, and red four. Not full rotations, at least except for red, just moving in thirds of the ring. But what would that have to do with north?

She supposed maybe north divided the Suva into east and west, sunrise and sunset. Maybe that was the direction to go? But both clockwise and counterclockwise would return to the east from the west eventually.

Well, at least she could always try again. Mahrika began to rotate each ring counterclockwise, so that the red ring and the cream ring aligned with the green salamander, and the green ring and lined up with the Cream bull

If that would not work, she would then rotate the rings clockwise, so that the cream ring and green ring aligned with the red Muaka, the red ring aligned with the bull.

Did any of those techniques work?

  6. In other news depending on how things go, I might want to have either Collector or Mahrika go on a Far Shore adventure at some point. I just read over Sidra and Sala’s stories, and congrats folks, I’m into it. The only issue is Collector might end up leaving to deal with the Vahki situation, and Mahrika is busy with puzzles and the Aqua-Sphere.

  7. IC Kanohi - Kini-Nui

Kanohi nodded, face reddening, “Thank you. I … I will try not to degrade myself. And thank you for taking care of the Matoran.” It was hard not to critique himself, it was even practical. Arguing, conflict; that was nerve-wracking and stressful. It was far easier to just admit he was probably wrong. And well, he was a fool, he made so many mistakes, failed to understand things, messed up frequently. The only reason he was in a position of authority was because Stannis appointed him there.

Though he supposed he was getting better at things. He had learned to forge two kinds of disks, had finally made a powered mask, he had finally learned some of the crimes of the Matoran, and was trying to address that, haphazardly as it was. And Tobduk-Koro could be worse off.

He shook his head of such thoughts, and began to walk after the rest of the group into the Ampling Alps.

  8. IC Kanohi - Kini-Nui

Kanohi winced, “that … I know I am naive, sorry. Just, well, well we all know I am cross-wired,” he looked away, drumming his staff, “I … Metru-Nui … when I fled to the city of legend, it hit me my home was gone and I had a panic attack and that scared the guards… well, it took a month before the Vahki released me.”

And that month was … not fun.

I … I don’t want the sick to feel like prisoners. Or like they are monsters. I-it’s not their fault. And even if they aren’t proper Matoran, they are still people. I just I want them t-to be…

He sighed, “I know, I am naive. I apologize if I seemed judgmental, I am just projecting I suppose.

  9. IC Kanohi - Kini-Nui

Kanohi nodded, “I think that could work. We may need this small ship anyway.” As he began to walk towards the Ampling Alp he hesitated, drumming his staff. He … he needed to bring this up, and once the mission was discussed, this would no longer be the priority. He should talk about it first.

Akiri Vulimai,” he said, not yet inside the ship, “I … I do have a question, unrelated to this mission. How are the ill Matoran doing in K-Ko-Pou? Are they not just getting treatment, but d-do they have stuff to do? Like puzzles, or games? So they have outlets to let out stress and have fun, and to exercise their brains and bodies? I am probably describing this wrong but it … I don’t think they should be locked up like specimens in the Archives.

IC Mahrika - The Suva of Fire

Mahrika stared blankly at the rings, before leaving the interior of the Suva to stare at the three statues. She paced back and forth, looking at the statues, and the rings. She struggled to see a solution. Was she just Kohlii headed? The colors should just pair with each other, right?

Then she felt a thump in her chest. Mahrika froze, muttering, “Guide me, my heart.” And Vokarda seemed to thump again and again against her torso, striking four times. Four, what would that number mean? She looked around, she was besides the Muaka statue, the fearsome predator staring down at her. Four … what could it mean…

Then her telescopic lens narrowed. The part of the statue that was made of red soapstone, it was the Muaka’s four largest fangs. Could that be a part of the clue? She ran around to the other statues. Two cream horns on the Bull, and one long green tongue on the salamander. Four, two, one.

Okay, four for the red, two for cream, one for dark green. Maybe that’s rotations? Like, maybe we turn the center red ring four times until it aligns with its statue, then turn the creamed ring twice, until it faces its statue, and turn the green ring only once?

It was, well it was only a rough idea, but it was a start. Mahrika admittedly was not sure if there was an order she was meant to turn them in, or if some were meant to be clockwise or counter clockwise, but for now she turned them all clockwise. Would this work?

    OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Burnmad @Eyru I had an idea.

  10. IC Mahrika - The Suva of Fire

Ollem grunted and stepped aside, and Mahrika winced. She had hoped to have the chance to help solve the puzzle by like, pushing something into place. She wasn’t great at puzzles, she had been of little help in the Suva of Stone, and in the Ruins of Water she had only been helpful by half-remembering pieces of Tren-Nui culture. Solving the puzzles, that was Ollem’s strength.

Still, she would try. The Desecrated G-Matoran heaved her new azure sword onto her back, almost topping g from the weight before her balance adapted again. As she swung back upright she caught sight of her feet, and winced.

Listen, Ollem, I do not need these boots really. My feet, well, the heat doesn’t seem to hurt me much. Maybe it’s because of my Kanoka,” she lied as she began to squeeze off the Boots, “but I know the heat has taken its toll on you. So here, take my boots, they should offer at least some padding between you and the ground. Besides, with your longer legs to can kick farther than me, and run faster too.

She placed down the boots besides him, even as her feet began to shift. Her toes became thicker and more padded, her heel widened and grew callouses. Until Mahrika stood on her own bare biomechanical feet, the raw heat and rough terrain of the landscape barely noticeable.

Finally she approached the puzzle. “Vokarda, Big Brother, please guide me,” she mumbled, as she swept her telescopic lens across the Suva.

  11. IC Kanohi - Kini-Koro

Kanohi turned as Vulimai approached, and bowed on shaky legs. Kanohi had not spoken to her much, but she was clearly capable, running a much bigger village than Tobduk-Koro, and doing it all by herself. That sheer pressure, the responsibility to manage so many lives, Kanohi would crumble before it.

As he looked back up he winced. Get mask was a rusted hue, another Matoran empowered by Whisper. It was not uncommon in Kini-Koro, even a few such Matoran lived in Tobduk-Koro. It … it was not his place to judge, and he tried not to. His discomfort was more in the rough textured of a desecrated mask. His hands could practically feel the awful texture.

Drumming his mask armor, Kanohi spoke, “G-Greetings, Akiri Vulimai. I am sorry for our sudden appearance, but Councilor NU and I need to discuss some issues with you, ideally in private.

IC Minions Avka and Bode - Tobduk-Koro

Bode walked among his field, each step generating more weeds. With each step he leaned against his shepherd’s crook, supporting himself and his bedroll. Following him was a his flock of Mahi, his only friends left in the world. And that was by his own hand.

He shook his head, he had his penance and Master Ulkarr, that kept him busy. So he guided his flock across the fields of Tobduk-Koro, his sensors listened in. Despite his desecration giving him power over plants, he still possessed the breed quirks of a De-Matoran. He could hear plenty even from his fields, ready to share with his Master or any villager.

Bode could also hear movements in the field, movement outside of his Mahi. But he knew that sound, it was not an immediate danger to him. just a guard monitoring him.

Indeed, some ways a way an Av-Matoran sat crouched, clutching two knives carved from Mahi horns. Their armor had shifted to brown and green, letting them roughly blend in with the rocky pasture. A muted brown hood was pulled over their mask, and what little of their mask was visible was a jagged green color, and poking underneath this Infected Mask were a pair of glowing eyes.

Avka watched over Bode, it was their shift to watch the weakling. Well, he was stronger than most Matoran they supposed, but Desecrated or not, they were only a De-Matoran. Nothing like the Matoran of Light; the noblest and most powerful of Matoran. All he could do was listen, and too many noises could overwhelm him. His own power was his weakness.

Bode was a little better than most De-Matoran, they supposed. But the cost of reaching above his breed was to be monitored by guards, loyal guards from Noble Matoran. To make sure he did not murder another and attempt another Desecration. The price of trying to be more like his betters.

Still, Avka could respect his ambition. That desire for a noble destiny. And he had only killed a Le-Matoran, it wasn’t like he killed someone useful like a Su-Matoran. Though there was no way a lesser Matoran like Bode could have killed an Av-Matoran. And despite his arrogance to raise above his element, at least he had not been fool enough to try.

OOC: anyone want to interact with these minions, there you go.

  12. IC Kanohi - Kini-Koro

Kanohi nodded, but then his optics widened, his telescopic lens focused randomly. He began to pace, and then his left hand began to drum his many broken masks, creating a jingling racket. His right hand leaned against his staff, too close to a weary old Turaga staring down his own failures. Realization was setting in.

Swallowing he managed. “I … C-Councilor NU, I don’t think we both can leave on this mission. If … whatever that thing was that sank Po-Koro, if it comes to Tobduk-Koro, or if the Skakdi or League attack, the village would be without a leader. 13. IC Kanohi - Kini-Koro

Kanohi winced and answered Nale without matching her gaze, “I … don’t know exactly what it was. It was obscured by the thick rain. I sometimes wonder if it was just a hallucination, that it’s roar was thunder, and it’s body fog. But t-too many saw it. And we found a giant gash in the ground, where it’s tails swiped clean through the rock. I … don’t know if it was a demon, but wherever it walked a massive storm surrounded it. It never even got close to Po-Koro, we only got the fringes. But that was enough to turn the village into a violent quagmire, sinking almost all of it and drowning villagers in earth. Without the Vahki and the Odd Company…” He trailed off

Finally he turned back to Knichou, “I-I know. We need to be careful, think things through. Me and NU should definitely discuss this with Vulimai, if this fails, I do not know anything about Toa Aurax, but if w-war resumes, then what peace we all have carved out here will be gone. We all need to work together, figure out what would work best. And what to do if there is a backlash.

The Fe-Matoran swallowed, “I don’t really know what we should do. I only know that Aurax should not have that kind of power over a person. That no one should, no matter how great a Toa they are. No matter who they are.

  14. IC Kanohi - Kini-Koro

Kanohi felt his burnt orange face beneath his mask darken to a maroon. “Um, yes, I have tried to at least. Disks need making, rules for Tobduk-Koro need establishing, rushed homes need to be reinforced and repaired. And since four T-Toa and Kilo left things have been a bit nerve wracking. If that ‘rain demon’ returned … well for the moment things are a bit more stable now though. We have more defenses, food, some Matoran are using Mahi for carts, I managed to make a Noble Kiril, never successfully made a powered mask before, and rarely any non powered ones.

The technology of disks was oddly validating. Okoto never knew about Disks, masks were made from raw molten Protodermis, there was no way to know what it’s power would be, if it would have a power, or what would be the ideal shape. Most mask makers back in Okoto just … understood how to shape the metal, they had an instinct for it. Kanohi had struggled, so many masks shattered.

But since he now knew how to forge disks, and he could start with a disk with its power and power level already known, it was easier. It was now broken into manageable tasks, he knew what shape to make it, he knew if it would be powered or not, not to mention that Kiril and Jutlin were some of the easiest masks to make, they required no masks to be combined. It … it was easier.

The Councilor shook his head, “sorry, need to focus. I…” He looked around, they were now safely in the back of the smaller airship, it … maybe it was secure.

He swallowed, “So, Councilor NU has explained to me that almost all Vahki are currently slaves of the League. Which I kn-knew but didn’t un-understand. S-sorry, no e-excuses. The point is that it is wrong. I … did you know Matoran ordered the Vahki to slaughter Kilo’s people? There is…” The Matoran struggled to support himself on his staff, looking a bit more like a shaky Turaga.

Finally he resumed, ”Sorry, what I mean is that Aurax’s control of the Vahki cannot go on. So I … I was wondering, given your expertise on tech and your connection to Nuparu, do you think you could help us liberate the Vahki from the League? We will need to discuss this with Commander Vulimai too, it affects all refugees, but I … Councilor NU, can you explain it better?

  15. IC Kanohi - Kini-Koro

Kanohi blushed, looking away. So many of his old companions were here, it … it had been so long since so many of them were together. Knichou looked … so unlike his old color scheme, he had seen him in Po-Koro, but back then he had not realized they were the same person. Maybe the result of his nanites. The same nanites that still let Kanohi grapple about.

He ... Kanohi’s memories of that scene in Po-Koro were hazy, but he thought Knichou had possessed a different mask. The rumors might indeed be true.

And the Taku seemed grander too. Or rather, more heavily armed. He remembered when it’s main weapon was knocking an enemy off its hull by scraping him off.

Kanohi had been a wreck back then. Shutting down at the slightest source of conflict. He still was, but he was a little better at dealing with stress, and a little bit more confident too.

Then he realized Knichou was walking away. “Wait, Knichou,” he called out as he shook out of his thoughts, “w-we were hoping to speak to you.

The councilor winced and turned to Toa Stannis, saying “Toa Stannis, it is ... it is great to see you alive. I am ... sorry for my failures, a gigantic beast passed our village, leaving a flood in its wake. Po-Koro had to … we relocated to the Ruins of Stone, our new village is Tobruk-Koro. A portal in this village links to it.” The Matoran tried not to face Stannis, and instead to have his gaze follow Knichou as he walked away.

Finally the councilor flinched and started to turn towards Whisper, before spotting a Toa. A familiar Toa, not from the Taku but, the one who fainted?

“Toa Taja, correct? Would you be willing to speak to someone on the stone ruins? They are a Vortixx whose name is … they will undergo naming day soon but they previously went by Collector. Currently wears a Noble Kiril. They wanted to ask you about your experiences. I am sorry, I r-really need to speak to Knichou.” And then he began to hurry up the Taku, supporting his quaking feet with his staff.

    IC Kanohi - Kini-Koro

Kanohi swallowed but nodded just the same. It had been quite a long time since he had seen Knichou. They had both been in Po-Koro after the raid, but the last time they had interacted was in Metru-Nui, when Kanohi abandoned Knichou’s plan in the Taku, to help civilians.

The Fe-Matoran unfolded his Kiril Staff and leaned on it, centering himself. It was hard not to wander what would have happened if he not abandoned the group. Yes Tobduk-Koro was managing okay, but millions were dead. If he had been there, would things be different.

Still, he began to walk towards the airships, the staff his third leg. “I had not realized Kini-Koro had a second airship. This might change some things.” It looked smaller, that might let it slip past the sensors of the League. Might be useful scouting, liberating the Vahki, or scavenging the remains of Metru-Nui.

The Ark, that’s what the Administrator had called Mata-Nui’s skull. And he suppose the rest of him too. Did the Matoran of the old universe flee Tren-Nui? Was … was it that beast he had seen in the storm? Did that drive them away? But the sheer size of Mata-Nui, what was terrible they fled in an Ark? Why did they need to hide in a false god? Why did no stories remain of this place?

It … he should focus on what he needed to do now, small manageable tasks one at a time. Like forging a Kanoka disks. He needed to speak to Vulimai and Knichou, as well as find Taja. All hopefully manageable.

Collector nodded, “Perhaps the fact that Whisper made it through seemingly unharmed encouraged them.” Still they twirled their finger against the hilt of their Kanoka Blade. It was good they had not held the two up, but still, perhaps they should have been more cautious.

Now, Administrator, you have mentioned your servers were potentially damaged, and I recalled that Toa Arkius’s transformation was unintentional. Can you give us more information on possible areas of damage in this temple? Particularly about leaks of that golden light that transformed the two Toa, or regarding this portal?

Kanohi turned and bowed to Collector and Ulkarr, before hurrying towards the portal. He paused just outside of it, wincing at the shimmering surface. If … if he was too slow and it broke, would he be cleaved in half. S-still, it had always worked so far, and he had his d-duty. He took a deep breathe, before diving through the NUVA doorway.

As the Fe-Matoran passed through the portal, Collector waited to hear a response from the Administrator, though they were a bit distracted by their own confusion. They thought the two leaders would wait until the Vortixx had checked out the door, before going through it. They swore they had heard that mentioned at point. Had they misunderstood?

  18. IC Kanohi and  “Collector” - Tobduk-Koro

Kanohi dipped his head, “Greetings, Aspect Whisper, Admin. Councilor NU and I need to visit Kini-Koro briefly. Before we go, Collector was hoping to investigate the temple, see if the mechanisms could have been damaged over the years this temple was a ruin.

Collector nodded, eyeing the NUVA door, “Administrator, did I hear you correctly, there is an error in your memory? Your databases have suffered damage?” They did not quite sneer, but they put their lips together and narrow their optics. The Administrator at least was not very secretive about its ignorance. First Arkius transforming was a side effect, his very mask melting to his face. Then it seemed to forget vital information mid sentence.

Hopefully the Administrator’s openness about its issues would give them a heading to regenerate the damage with their new mask. As long as it’s server banks weren’t made of something like Protosteel, it should be doable.

They tried not to stare at Whisper. But, Whisper would likely have to leave to find a Codex. Their chance to speak to her was limited. But their senses had been repossessed, if asking about the mask offended the Vahki … the Vahki were heroes, they saved the Matoran while Collector was busy relishing the chance to be the hero. If Councilor NU had a problem with them desecrating their mask, then desecrating their mask likely was indeed a problem. And if so, best they knew that sooner than later. Before they made a terrible mistake.

…And Whisper was gone. The chance lost. Almost immediately Kanohi said, “Collect — Friend, if I see her in Kini-Nui, should I ask her?

…No. but If you have time, see if you can send Taja to speak to me.” They let out a sigh, relieved at the offer. Hopefully she would be willing to talk to them, they did not know her, and their social skills were lacking,
