  1. IC: Zeal, Aki-Nui / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Ahh, so you're still homeless, eh? Come to think of it, I haven't had a home since I got to this island. Really should get around to that.'They crossed the bridge, and reached the stable. Aki-Nui's head perked up at the sound of the two Toa conversing. Sound Friend see now! He rushed to the edge of the stable, looking at the group. Zeal stroked the Bull's head, and opened the gate, before Sister jumped on his back. He then gestured for Dekuna to get on. The Toa of Sonics raised an eyebrow, leading Zeal to run a full circle around him in half a second.'It's okay,' he said, tapping his Kakama. 'I'll run.'OOC: Zeal, Sister, Aki-Nui, and presumably Dekuna to Onu-Wahi.
  2. Bottom line, we don't like plurals here. / | | | (Irony)
  3. Seeing this made me really sad. It was always a big part of my childhood, and to see it go after such a long time....R.I.P Bionicle.com & Bioniclestory.com
  4. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Better than nothing, even considering it's been a few months since Ga-Wahi.'As they left the inn on their way to the village gates to retrieve Aki-Nui, Zeal tried to make conversation with Dekuna. 'So, I've already explained what happened to me after we last met up. What've you been doing with yourself all this time?'
  5. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn 'Doubt it. They have other matters to attend to.' He stood up, pulling up the hood on his cloak, and replacing the Mataraka in his pocket. 'We'll sort out this thing later. We should get going, before nightfall. Any ideas where we should search for Payiges and Sister's sister next?'
  6. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Let me stop you right there,' the Silver Toa said, holding a hand up. 'Have you seen the amount of Toa mercenaries on this island? I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only traditional Toa-Heroes left on Mata Nui. Everyone else is either a guardsmen, a bounty hunter, or a shopkeeper who gave up heroism for the quiet life. I don't think it would be that easy to waltz up to a Toa nowadays and ask "hey, buddy, you want to risk life and limb to maybe but possibly not open an indestructible container from which only one other person will benefit?"' He leaned back. 'Maybe we should focus on our former task for now; find Payiges and Sister's sister. Once we find them we'll see if we can recruit them.'
  7. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'We just need to find two more spritely, spirited Toa who would be willing to help crack open an indestructible sphere of unknown origin that has the small chance of stealing their very soul.' He smiled at the morbid statement. 'Somehow I think it's going to be hard to convince them. I mean, I'm the only one who benefits from it, what incentive would they have?'
  8. IC: Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'I don't want to destroy it, I want it open. My legacy is in that cursed orb, and I'm going to get it out. I don't care how I do it, I don't care if people die in the act of opening it, but I will open it.' Zeal's eyes became unusually dark, he sat hunched over. 'So, one element at a time doesn't work, I think we've established this. But what if we tried multiple elements at the same time?''If I may?' Sister said from the corner of the bed. 'The best things usually happen in sixes, right?' She smiled, quite proud of her quick thinking.Zeal's eyes brightened, and he grinned at his friends. 'This girl knows what she's talking about. What do you think, Sound Boy? Worth a shot?'
  9. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool InnHe suddenly stood up. 'Make more? Are you freaking insane? Why on Mata Nui would I want this insidious device to affect others?! Darn it, Dekuna, I....' He trailed off, and sat down again. 'Sorry. I'm on a bit of a hair-trigger at the moment.' He clasped his hands together. 'Okay. So superheating doesn't work. Sound of any kind doesn't work. I've tried submerging it in the swamps of Le-Wahi for half a day, that didn't do anything. Any suggestions?'
  10. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Keep at it, you're making good progress.' He mostly said that as reassurance for himself, knowing that he was making no progress at all. He'd tried a lot already. If superheating the Mataraka didn't leave a mark, he didn't see any reason sonic frequencies would. Still, worth a shot.
  11. IC: Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool InnHe turned to his Le-Matoran companion, who flinched away from him instinctively.'Look, I'm sorry for what I did outside the village,' he said in a harsh, yet apologetic tone. 'I shouldn't have lost my temper, it's just.... no. They're not to be spoken of so casually.''I get that now, and I'm sorry. But don't you think you overreacted, even for losing your temper?''Oh no, not at all,' he replied sarcastically.'Hey, not the time.''Is it ever a good time?''Zeal, there's a right time and a wrong time for being immature. Surely you would have learned that by now.'He sighed, mumbled something under his breath.'Dekuna, how's it going over there?'
  12. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'I have a hunch. It had to open to take my element, who's to say it can't be opened again?' He sat down on the bed, and observed.
  13. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool InnHe closed the door behind Dekuna and Sister, placing the Mataraka down on a bedside table. 'So, should we block our ears? I really don't want to go deaf from this.'
  14. Same here, but I'm willing to conform. Totally not biased towards my own idea, no sirree.
  15. I propose that whenever important events are scheduled to occur, we use EST. It's probably the simplest time-zone to keep track of, and it's not too hard to set another clock to it, or even keep a mental track of the time difference wherever you are.Good idea, bad idea, Zeal (very, very bad) idea?
  16. IC: Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'I knew him for a short while before he lost his element. He was kind. Downright immature, of course, but kind none-the-less. After he became a Toa of Fire, he just immediately decided to start looking for his lady-friend. Maybe he was afraid of losing her now that he'd already lost so much.'She's right, Zeal. You just have to keep looking.'But yeah, I preferred the old him. The one that didn't dangle me over a lava river at the slightest provocation.' She sighed. 'Don't confront him about that. Because who's going to cop the blame?'
  17. IC: Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool InnHe threw a few widgets down on the bar-top, and grabbed the key for Room Seven. 'Now I have.' He waved Dekuna and Sister after him. Following the Silver Toa, she looked up at Dekuna. 'How did you ever put up with him?'
  18. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Could you?' He placed the sphere in his friend's palm very gingerly. 'Be careful with it. There's a good reason I call it the Mataraka.' Before Dekuna could get to work on it, Zeal suddenly snatched it back. 'We should probably take this somewhere less populated. Don't want to deafen the villagers.'
  19. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool InnThe corners of his lips twitched upwards. 'Thanks. Anyway, It was... blimey, must've been two months ago now. I... sorry. I was in Le-Wahi, not sure where, somewhere in the jungle. I found this.' He produced a small silver sphere from his robe, holding it up for Dekuna to see. 'I have no idea what it is, but when I picked it up, I felt this god-awful pain, all through my body, like a thousand red-hot needles. When I woke up, it was night. Kind of hazy on what happened next. Something about a forest fire.' 'Anyway, I got back to the village. My Kanohi had stopped working, completely kaput, hence the new mask. Mask-maker gave me a very nice deal.' He half-heartedly chuckled. 'Of course I chose the Kakama. I needed to be back in my element.' He observed the sphere again. 'I reckon, there's a way to open this. That's where you come in. We find Toa of different elements, and we hit the sphere with all we have.' As he said this, the sphere began to glow red-hot, then white-hot. Upon cooling, it was completely the same, no signs of damage, not even singeing.'Dekuna, you've experimented with different frequencies of sound before, yes?'
  20. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'I remember not liking Crast Kraahkan, for using the names of two immoral Kanohi.' He took a long swig of his drink, and promptly spat it out. 'Ugh, tasteless.''And don't call me that. Zealokan, the Toa of Kinetics? He's gone. It's just Zeal now, as much as it pains me to say.' He held out his hand, and the mug containing his drink melted into molten glass, the liquid it contained evaporating into a foul-smelling mist. He suddenly grabbed Dekuna and pulled him close, desperation in his eyes. 'Dekuna, I need you to help me found out how to reverse this!' he hissed.
  21. IC: Zeal / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Something happened to me.' Before his friend could reply, Zeal clicked his fingers, and the alcohol in his drink ignited. Dekuna looked on, shocked. Waving his hand over the mug, the liquid was extinguished. He looked up at the Toa of Sonics, his features stern, unmoving, but his eyes revealing a different story; he was afraid.'The last of the Ve-Koronians died with me, Dekuna. They're all gone.' His expression softened, and he hunched over his now alcohol-free drink, holding back both sadness and an unbridled rage.
  22. IC: Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Awesome, cheers,' the pair said in unison, before turning to their drinks. 'Dekuna, you know I only drink copious amounts of alcohol when I am massively troubled, yes?'
  23. IC: Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn'Ugh, tell me about it. Freakin' export laws, Ga-Koro won't let it outside the borders. "Local product", apparently. It's been a while since I've had some.' His eyes glazed over briefly, before he shook his head, coming to his senses. 'Right, yes, umm, don't suppose you've seen Payiges? Should hopefully have the same Kanohi and scimitar.'She quickly spoke up before Zeal had the chance to interrupt again. 'I'm looking for my sister, too! Toa of Air, three daggers, Kanohi Huna.' Her voice was confident, with only minor hints of uncertainty. 'Sorry, didn't mean to be so loud. Don't often get a chance to speak around Zeal's friends,' she said, shooting daggers at the Silver Toa.
  24. IC: Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool InnThe Matoran went to speak, but was interrupted by the silver-tongued Toa, to which she frowned. 'This is Sister, she helped me heal after the Rahkshi attack. Still need this blasted thing, though,' he said, holding up his walking cane. 'A few weeks later, I went looking for Payiges. Asking around, found Sister again, discovered she was looking for a loved one as well, teamed up, travelling ever since.''If by travelling, you mean scouting the entirety of Le-Wahi for a month, then yes, you could say that.' Zeal narrows his eyes at her over his shoulder, Sister poking out her tongue in reply. He then turned back to Dekuna. 'So, what brings you to Ta-Koro?'
  25. IC (Dekuna) IC:Zeal, Sister / Ta-Koro - Lavapool Inn He heard the door being flung open with quiet footsteps, and peered out of the corner of his eye at the newcomer.'You. Are. Kidding.' He turned fully around, trying not to smile, failing miserably. 'Hey, Sound Boy,' he said in a hushed tone, careful not to play on Dekuna's sensitive hearing. 'I think a drink is in order.''Who's this joker?' The Le-Matoran inquired. Still reeling from the Po-Koro story, she was a bit out of it. 'Old friend. Lovely fellow, you'll like him.' The Le-Matoran smiled back, unsure of what was going on.
