  1. OOC: I persume that you mean you're shadow-porting and shooting crossbow bolts at me.IC: Miraul spotted crossbow bolts incoming from several shadows, and deflected them with a magnetic field. He shouted across the street to Bijackal "How many?"Biajackal scanned the shadows with his unique tracking vision, noting that the energy traces were identical between various shadows that had sourced crossbow bolts. "Just one-must be a Kualsi-user!" Bijackal, Axana, Hikari, and Takamaz hid themselves behind several trashcans for cover from the bolts, being on the opposite side of the street.Miraul nodded. He began formulating a plan even as he maintained his deflection of the bolts with a magnetic feild. Before Miraul could finish his plan, Vilak caught sight of the attacker in another shadow. He ignited the plasma coating on one of his longswords, darting forward at Kakama speed. He spun the blade in front of him at superspeed, enough to slice through any incoming arrows. Coming within feet of their mysterious quarry, he lashed out at the crossbow in her hand. His plasma-coated blades were especially hot, and even a close pass might ignite the heavy weapon.
  2. OOC:From Le-Wahi, several months ago.IC:Miraul and team entered Ta-koro at last. Miraul muttered to himself, "Last time I try to hire a passing Vortixx trader for a ride." If there was any evidence of the Toa they had been tracking, it was certainly gone by now. The trader they had hired had gone on a months long detour, and by now it was far to late to find their three mysterious enemies. Even Bijackal's vision couldn't find traces months old.Turning to Bijackal, he asked the Skakdi, "Any idea on how to find our old enemies without any more leads to go on?"Bijackal smiled, actually not a terrible sight in comparison to the rest of his species. The Skakdi of Earth spoke in return, saying,"I think we should check with the Guard. If there's been any criminal activity in the area that might be related to them, or if my brother and Ziraul have passed through, then they are the most likely to know." Miraul nodded, and led the team towards the Guard headquarters.Reaching the headquarters was quite the surprise. From a block away, Miraul could see a figure opening fire upon the guards with a crossbow. He sighed, "Here we go again." Taking his javelin bag from his shoulder, he passed it to Divan, who nodded. Vilak looked at Miraul, who met his gaze, and loaded his sling. Taking cover from the enemy archer behind a nearby building, Miraul directed the team on what to target. "Vilak, super-heated stone to the crossbow. Divan, javelin to the firing shoulder. I'll take the knees with arrows. Takamaz, Axana, be prepared to back us up if there are more attackers. Bijackal, stay covered. All strikes at Kakama speed."Miraul struck first, as his attack required only time to load arrows, and his reload rate was greatly bolstered by his Kakama. Darting into the middle of the street at superspeed, he paused, aiming two arrows for the knees of the crossbowman. Then he darted to an alleyway on the other side of the street. While Miraul fired his bow, Divan readied himself, before darting across the street, and shot the metal javelin as he went. Vilak went last, loading his slingstone and injecting plasma into it's core, softening it. When it struck, it would result in a small explosion of molten rock, hopefully enough to ignite the crossbow. Darting across the street, he paused, spinning his sling above his head, adding power with his Kakama. A powerful release sent the stone flying, and Vilak ducked into cover with his friends.
  3. IC: Cy overheard Mahdrik's discussion, and swooped low, landing on the ground next to Kethrye."Since air is useful against Rama but less so against teleporting Rahkshi, I'll try and cover you as well, so you don't lose control of our potentially critical distraction."Spotting a group of Rama headed for them, Cy scattered them with a cyclone, some freed when their infected masks were knocked off by the wind.OOC: Cy covering Kethrye against Rama attacks so he can use his Tyrana to create a distraction for the Rahkshi.
  4. OOC: Katuko, hope you don't mind if I join up with your squad. IC: Cy: The Green Tornado: Nui-Rama HiveA late Toa of Air sped towards the battlefield, aiming for the hive. Staying back for a few minutes and hovering with his Kadin, he observed the battlefeild, impressed as the explosives went off. Things were going well. He noted the appearance of several Rahkshi, teleporters or pre-concealed illusion casters, he guessed, by their appearance. He spotted Madrihk at around the same time. He went into a dive, heading towards perhaps the only one he knew on the battlefeild. He had to pass through a wave of Nui-Rama to get to Madrihk, so he surrounded himself in a cyclone. Flying through the wave, he found himself unable to resist another bad pun, shouting, "Hope you Nui-Rama don't mind...."As the Green Tornado punched through the storming swarm of Nui-Rama, a small number were caught in his whirling wake, slammed and smashed against one another by whistling winds. Some Nui-Rama were freed as their masks were knocked off, while several were stunned by the collisions with their own number, falling to the ground. The Green Tornado finished on the other side, "...dropping like flies."Continuing towards Mahdrik, he landed next to him. He was just in time to catch his orders on the anti-Rahkshi attack. "Sorry if I'm a little late, but I figure I can help you out. If it's of any use, I can do invisible air pressure waves to strike the Rahkshi."OOC: Cy can never resist a bad pun.
  5. Thanks for the summary. I'll plunge into the hive battle as soon as I can, but I need to find out what Katuko did with Cy, if anything, while I was gone.
  6. If it helps with the timespan I need for the summary I requested, I left a few days after Matau was Turaga-napped.
  7. Hey folks, sorry if I've been gone longer than anticipated, but I'm back now. My schedule can just get crazy. Could I get a recap of what occured island wide- with a focus on Le-Koro- while I was gone? Also note that I'm looking to get involved in Ta-Koro at some point soon, so would someone care to give me a mild idea of current events there?
  8. IC:Cy finshed discussing the hive assult plans with some of the higher-ups in the Gukko Force, who would spread the word about the plan to attack the hive. He began to walk to his hut, planning to take care of some personal things.OOC: Any Le-Koro civilians who want to help the hive attack should talk to Cy. Long term residents would know him as the Green Tornado.
  9. Sorry I missed the last week or so, but I was busy keeping up w/real life. Hopefully i will be more available after April 12th.What happened in Le-Wahi while I was gone?
  10. IC:"I will gather the Gukko Force here. Quick-toss me a message with a copy of your plan when you are ready, and we will do as you ask. If you need us in a far-place, then tell us and we can sky-hop with quick-speed. Use your Koro to gather the other forces for ease of travel." Cy answered.OOC: I presume we hopefully have staff permission to use Matoran NPCs for the hive attack now? Also, we need to find two Mahiki users, some Toa of Fire and Sonics, a Toa of Earth, and additional Kakama wearers for Cy's plan to work. What does Pala-Koro have covered in way of those forces?
  11. IC: Cy said, "I suppose I will take charge of rounding up part of the Gukko Force, seeing as I have worked with them before, unless you wish to differ, Mahdrik."
  12. IC: Cy stepped forward, and spoke, "Turaga Matau, perhaps a combination of all our ideas would be most effective. We can put the hive under semi-fake attack with two Mahiki users-one for the attack-illusions, the other to quick-hide them both. Toa of Fire and Air can try to smoke them out. Then they'll be right on location to quick-destroy the hive once the Nui-Rama are drawn out. Sonics can also noise-blast the hive for the same reason, perhaps swift-picking frequencies that will ever-weaken the structure in the process. As the Nui-Rama are driven out, we can use Kakama and Kadin users to split them up and lure them to other locations, where the various defence forces can snipe-pick them off. Only the Mask of Summoning need be left out. It's lower risk for you, and higher risk for Toa. How does that quick-thought plan sound?"OOC: Matau ought to recognize Cy, as he is a long-term Le-Koro resident who has helped the Gukko Force on an informal basis, and will likely call him Green Tornado. They definately have met before, as Cy knocked Matau's door down to tell him about the Mystix attack on Le-Koro. (Emzee RPed that-mostly irrelevant.)
  13. IC:Cy chuckled, "Air-blasted, to be precise. The village was under attack from some bat-things, so I sounded the alarm. The bat-guys had ever-bad tactics and worse numbers-there were maybe eight of them against the whole Gukko Force. Actually, that quick-fight was how I met Aelynn."
  14. IC:Cy said, "Hopefully I won't have to quick-blast the door-thing down ever again. I wonder if he's not in?"OOC:Yup, Cy did that once.
  15. IC: "Perhaps your plan will work after all. Shall we go speak to the Turaga now?" Cy stated.
  16. OOC: Did not. Been busy with other things.IC: Madrihk"Well, this might sound crazy, but remember that it's why we're here: to do the impossible... with some help. You know that giant hive of infected Nui-Rama standing in the middle of Le-Wahi? Well, we're gonna break it. Crush it. Level it with the earth. No more shall it threaten Le-Koro. But in order to do that, we need help from the Gukko Force to draw the insects away. The structure is too sturdy to just set on fire or topple in a minute, we need some time to break the foundations and really destroy the place. It's a risky mission, and it requires a lot of resources. We are here to gather strength."Madrihk shrugged."If the Turaga or the Gukko Force Captain opposes the idea, we can't really do much. In that case we shall just keep amassing warriors until we can."IC:Cy stated, "I see a flaw in that plan. The Nui Rama will likely re-build the hive, quite possiblly bigger and stronger since they are under Makuta's control. To truly be effective, you need to remove the infected masks from the Nui-Rama themselves. That's a much bigger task, seeing as there are so many of them, and it has to be done head on, or gradually through more repeated guerrilla style attacks."
  17. OOC:Katuko, not sure if you went to Matau's hut or not yet.IC:"If you can explain this project to me, than I might be able to assist you in speaking to Matau. Having a native resident's support would obviously be beneficial." Cy answered.
  18. IC:Cy said,"I think I spare a day or two to check out this village. Catch me in that hut over there when you're ready to quick leave." He pointed to his hut. He turned to Aelynn, "If you want to come, gather your things and meet me at my hut."
  19. IC:Cy answered Aelynn,"Hold on-I want to know a little about this village first. If you want to go, up to you." He turned to Mahdrik, holding out a fist for the Toa Salute, "Most folks call me Green Tornado. Green or Tornado for short. I'm one of the defenders of Le-Koro- I help out the Gukko Force on an informal basis. Tell me about this village by Lake Pala-I've heard rumors of it in the area. I doubt I would be a permanent resident, as my home is here, but I might be able to help you on an occasional basis. I'm sure Makuta is rather opposed to the idea of new settlements."OOC:Basically asking for a summary of the events since our last encounter and enough info to bring Cy to the village. Also, you have a map of Pala Koro, correct? I'm looking for a spring break project and might like to try out my Blender skills on your settlement.
  20. IC:"Then I guess we'll just have to find one." Cy sighed. Roaring at the top of his lungs, he shouted,"Are there any Toa of Iron around here?"OOC: Snow Day!!!! Send me a message if you reply to this, because I don't want to miss the post. We are in Le-Koro.
  21. IC: Cy said,"Worry about which Kanohi later-the only Kanohi trader I know is out of town right now, and he'd be the only one I trust for a fair deal. You know any Toa of Iron?"
  22. IC: The elevator began to pull them up, and Cy said ,"Keep thinking about it. In the meantime, let's see if we can't find you a Toa of Iron to help you learn." Cy watched as the elevator pulled them into a bustling tree village.OOC: Calling any good Toa of Iron in Le-Koro...
  23. OOC:I may have phases of high activity, like spring break, but will likely not be highly active till mid-April.IC:Cy said, "Both good picks, but the Faxon requires some deep-knowledge of Rahi, which the Calix does not. Kakama and Pakari have simaler applications, so they might be ones to quick-look at. Check out Matatu or Garai as well-you have very good chances of hitting your foes with them.. With your elemental difficulties, having a 'backup plan' is an ever-bright idea. Don't even think about a Miru-they're next to useless. For protective purposes, think about Hau, Pehkui, and Growth. There are also some rarer masks out there, though they are a little hard to quick-find.*" He continued,"We should also quick-find you a wise-mentor with the power of Iron." At that point he paused, gesturing to the Le-Koro elevator.*OOC: He means custom Kanohi. According to the rules, I beleive you have to make a semi-significant IC fuss about changing Kanohi (but I am not certain). I suggest you prewrite some medium length posts internally debating what Kanohi to get, which I suspect would be suitable.
  24. IC: Cy said,"We should find you someone who knows more about Iron than I do to improve your skills with using it. That and possibly change your Kanohi. Come on-let's head back to Le-Koro." Cy gestured for Aelynn to follow him.
  25. IC:"In part elemental advantage, I am sorry to say- Air can do a lot of things Iron can't, though years of holding off Nui-Rama has definitely quick-boosted my skills above average. You should work on your elemental skills-you seemed to start running low on power near the end-finish.You did a good job, though."Cy held out a hand to help Aelynn up.
