  1. As far as I remember, though the box or had a secondary model, it was non-canon, so I wondered, if it was a successful invention, then both machines have there advantages other then fighting, the original Boxor could be used where there was minimal height clearance (like Onu-Koro) and the punching function would be good at breaking rocks and Ice, meanwhile the arm swinging motion of the B model would work better for climbing as well as for cutting tall tree limbs, or swinging from those limbs, so basically in Ga-Koro, Le-Koro, and Ta-Koro. What are your thoughts on this, and do you know of any B models that could prove useful for matoran or toa everyday life, but weren't exploited in the story?
  2. Okay, So I remember that only 4 Mahri Matoran were released, and though that upset me at the time, I am at least glad they did not do white or black because the parts exist to do that already, so I wonder, what masks would you choose for Mahri Matoran, I personally would choose Solek's mask for Ice, and Von Nebula's mask for black, also, it is possible to make other colors like light green, orange, and so on, so feel free to choose any color you want, even existing, I just want to hear from you guys.
  3. I thinnk 2001-2002 would have been epic, just think, an introduction to the characters, but think, how epic would the bohrok have been as a true army, I mean, you've got the bohrok (like soldiers) the bohrok va, who are like field medics, and bohrok kal, (elite bohrok) and the bahrag, a pair of symbiotic beasts that tower over the toa, the bohrok don't care to hurt you, they re destroying your resources, however, if you get in the way they will destroy you, or take control of you, the bohrok va, will recover any downed bohrok by providing them with new krana, the bohrok kal control two elements, and can reactivate the bahrag if needed, and know how to strip you of your elemental power, it's actually terrifying to think of, plus the bohrok are impervious when rolled in a ball so...
  4. Yea, I havent been up to date with the Ekimu lore, how ever, I see what you mean, maybe instead mask maker could be an honorable title that these protector like set could have, there are several problems with lego reintroducing straight mask packs, I could see them possibly doing it, but I think they would do it as a promo online, and not as sets in store do to price, but I still think it was a neat suggestion, I will try and develope the idea in more detail if I can.
  5. I did think of the idea of names and am currently working on that, the moc up is in its first stage, so it will be a bit of time before I photograph and publish it, Ekimu has a name, and so shall the others
  6. Thats an excellent question, it mostly mcame out the wrong way, they would not each have the same exact build, like the protectors out right now, they would have subtle differences, itd be great to add some sort of simple, yet functional action feature though that may bump up the price, and I would like the idea if they had little to no metallic colors on them, a new shell attachment, (which I actually MOCed up a design for,) and maybe a secondary color for some shells.
  7. I actually speak about an idea I had in a new topic that would go along with the story line, and also introduce the six masks in all six colors, the protector masks in 1 solid color, and the skull spiders in 3 new colors, E kimu is a mask maker scheduled for released in late 2015, but what if he is a teacher and his students are 6 elemental mask maker novice with builds somewhat like the protectors, with the protector masks in solid color, as well as new colored parts, like xt4 torsos, small beast feet, and fists in there respective elemental colors, and each one comes with the 6 toa masks in there respective color and a skull spider for a battle in a box experiance, for around $12.99 usd (to account for new parts and colors.
  8. That's correct, I got the idea thinking about how I would make the tarakava in ccbs, and I got to thinking about color, maybe Ekimu could be the teacher, and the elemental protector sized sets, the students, with that we would get the protector masks in 1 solid color (great for MOCing, the six toa masks in the character respective color (which would be all six masks in all six colors) and 3 new colors of skull spiders like maroon, sand blue, and brown or something, that's 8 masks per set, plus the feet and torsos in 6 colors, a new armor attachment, and 6 different hammer style weapons (for about 12.99 usd (to justify new molds and colors) it'd pay homage to generation 1, and also make sense with what I know about the story line.
  9. I like the way it is starting, with the mysterious feel, your not coming into the world with all the details right in your face, you're discovering as the discover, which leads to a majestic feeling, and over time evolves into an epic, when the discovery have been made, and you realize you tasks, in G1, we started on mata-nui, and all we knew was it was a tropical paradise in trouble, and it slowly grew from there, this also allows the writer time and means to introduce knew things with out having to tell you where they came from, its part of the mystery, if in the beginning, you are told who is the hero, who is the villain, and there overall goal, then you've been told the whole story, because you know the good guys will win, and any of this is left a mystery, then you never know what to expect next, because it leaves room for change, but hey that's my rant for another day, both styles have there perks, a mystery for ever will fill itself with detail, and an epic forever we soon be unable to compete with itself without repetition.
  10. So this is just an idea I had this morning, but I found it pretty appropriate, so we know Ekimu is going to be a mask maker, and that got me thinking, what if there were 6 novices (or more?) With builds like the protectors in a way, with the protector masks, though not blended in color, and the 6 toa (master) masks in that protectors color, an example would be a red mask maker, the the protector of fire's mask, but just red, not blended, and the 6 "toa" masks in red, same for blue, green, and so on, and introduce 3 new skull spider colors for a battle in a box experience. sorry in advanced if this topic is a bit confusing, so just introduce a new shell attachment maybe, the XT4 torso and small beast feet in the mask makers respective color, and maybe 6 different forge hammers (in color?) Maybe a new eye color, just stuff to collect, and around $12.99 usd, good idea?
  11. Back in 2003, I found the kane-rare and muaka sets at wal-mart, also, they were half priced so I snatched that up, wonderful set in terms of mechanical functions by the way, pretty amazing to see that head in action.
  12. My submission is:Name: Magnamir (pronounced Mag-nuh-meer) Submitted picture: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/banana92/Magnamir/img_1515.jpg Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=550274 I decided to go with CCBS hero style building because it fits with recent years, now, this building technique is new to me, I got my first CCBS set about a month ago, and that was the two small sets from invasion. but I chose this build style becauseit also is more relative to the upcoming Bionicle, since they are of CCBS type builds. So here is what I was shooting for. I wanted the colors of the original Makuta to play in, since he is who we knew as true evil for so long.I wanted the flexibility however of Maxilos, now I didn't want to compromise with it being fragile, so here are the things it can do.Movable shoulder blades (near the spine), Twisting waist, bendable hips, knees, ankles, neck, folding wings, and all other standard points of articulation.I also limited my building skills by giving myself one more challenge: Building with the smallest CCBS torso available, like that from Rocka Crawler. As for the weapon, the one in the picture I've posted here is the official one, the one in the first few gallery photos I have since changed. -It is said, that if one looks into the eyes of the great shadow, there existence will be consumed, they will not be remembered...The shadow that fell over the land was that of a deception, Magnamir, the carrier of swords. he doesn't lurk in the shadows, but they find refuge in him, His motives are unknown, he will do anything to find what he is looking for, he is impossible to predict,he is everywhere you're not, and makes you question every step. Magnamir gave the possession of shadow to the Makuta, who were not strong enough to contain it on their own, they are his sons...If you cannot find it in yourself to change directions in the cold of night, then he will find you.- Tell me what you think.
  13. Several Ko-Matoran in the MNOLGs actually use dark grey. thank you for pointing that out, I never really got around to those games much, and I do technically agree, I'd rather have a komau, but I'm fine with either color, just, the sake that it's not just another matatu, other elements introduced more masks to their element. example based on sets fire: tahu's and jaller's hau, takua's pakari, vakama's huna (3 different masks) earth: onua's and onepu's pakari, whenua's ruru, and nuparu's pakari (2 different masks)
  14. Although I know a lot of people might hate this idea, I would love to see mask packs return, or each set come with a random mask in their color, because it would help bring back that nostalgic feel, though they come with gold masks as well as masks in their color, another mask would be amazing to see, like the bohrok sets of 02' did, just a thought. and release more than just one villian, and tiny little 5-6 piece "spiders" because the whole world isn't just spiders everywhere, there are rahi, actual rahi, the spiders are a push in the right direction though.
  15. The mask was changed sol as to introduce as little new pieces as possible (my guess anyway) the only new pieces from the 03 matoran other then the body assembly, was hahli's feet in navy blue, but none of the masks were new for them, the komau wasn't new either, but it would mean making light blue feet, instead of gray, which came with nuparu, which do I prefer... both actually, the dark gray adds a different feel that the light blue doesn't the fact that it's dark gray makes him feel as though he doesn't belong, and I think that is actually a good thing, think takua, (light blue was a color on him by the way) his color scheme was different, now, I do prefer the light blue on takua, and wish they would have left out the dark blue, but each matoran had something to help diversify them, and the dark gray I think hits that better then light blue, just a thought.
  16. absolutely was, and there was never a year like it again, but 2002, and 2003, and even 2004 (since the colors were new at least) were some nice years either way, still 2001 was the best in my opinion
  17. i thought the same thing, like in 2004-2005, that was fine, but sometime after, they should have gone back to mata style green, same with brown, pohatu should have been brown not orange, though the mask looked like an updated vahi, which also came in orange, that was neat, but still, should have been brown either way, even if it wasn't the 03 brown, it should have been something
  18. well, I'm really fast and agile, and I have a good ammount of common sense, as well asbeing a fantastic observer, I'd probably relate myself mot with pohatu, onua, or lewa (with my witty, happy-go-lucky charm of awesomeness )
  19. anything toa mata, or toa nuva really, I think those weapons made the most since with the sets, a fire sword for obvious reasons, claws to dig, kickers to... well, an axe for dense jungle growth, hocks for climbing, and kopaka's sword which is just beautiful... then the toa nuva, tahu's fire blades that could also be a surf board, onua's chainsaws "quake breakers" would make me very lazy, as i'd just roll around on them, and why not have claws that can form a ball to kick at your opponent... lewa's air katana, which not only would be great for flying, but would probably be lightweight and fast, then the aquatic axe is just epic, and lastly, kopaka's skate swords (name?) I loved that the weapons were double purposed (like in 2004, but I think they did a better job her, as these weapons I'd fear more then some metru ones, and are less bulky, though the metru weapons were still awesome)
  20. Okay, its July, is it going to be hard to find LOTR polybags, and hobbit polybags, especially the Kirkwood elf guard which I believe was at TRU in the U.S., didn't they come out in like January?
  21. I think he traded it to Mask Collector. So, Mask Collector has one, I think. I desperately need those masks! I need them too! Don't we all lol
