I blame whoever's in charge of Xat.

  2. Be scared brass. I can get 6 partials on a Clarinet. And it skips partials. (and I can get 5 on most saxophones, 6-7 on Bari)

  3. The instrumentation to the original theme to Mission Impossible is... interesting. =P (Bass Flute, Contrabass Trombone, SUBCONTRA-ALTO CLARINET)

      Rahkshi Guurahk

And probably more weird stuff I can't pick out from it.

  4. Its rather annoying if someone in your family blasts music that you dislike as loud as they can on their speakers.

  5. I need to get a High Pitch Baritone Saxophone and a REAAAAALLLLY High baffle mouthpiece to make it a Baritone in F. Then cool stuff. =P

      Well, good luck.

  6. .......It's rather disturbing to see a Keyed Bugle from the 1820s, which is very rare, MADE INTO A LAMP BY SOME cool dude!

  7. Is it worth getting a Bass Clarinet repaired for a small dent in the bell? =P

    1. Axilus Prime

      Axilus Prime

Only if that negatively affects the sound.

    2. Rahkshi Guurahk

      Rahkshi Guurahk

The fact that it only goes to low E, and was made that way does. =P

  8. I have a joke: fun Alto Clarinet part.

    1. Rahkshi Guurahk

      Rahkshi Guurahk

      almost never happens :P

  9. I still want to violently slap the person in charge of Steinway and sons for stopping Leblanc producing Noblet Clarinets. Which had been going on continuously since 1750.

    1. Rahkshi Guurahk

      Rahkshi Guurahk

And they bought Leblanc and its subsidiaries in 2004.

  10. *notices I missed Friday* >.> ................ <. ....................... rg song suggestion friday that definetly not sunday is children march by percy grainger.>

Or for the higher Sarrusophones (Soprano and Sopranino) Sax and Oboe (when I hate the reed size on an Oboe, oh yay =P )

    4. Rahkshi Guurahk

      Rahkshi Guurahk

As Soprano uses an Oboe d'Amore or Cor Anglais reed and bocal, Sopranino uses an Oboe reed. :P

No, I believe the three virtues are Tuma, Tuma and Tuma.

(I should change my display name to Tuma and then somehow do a podcast with the three virtues so Tuma can actually be a virtue.)

      Toa Of Virtues

      Guys, this is TUMACH.

  14. Is it bad I play both Baritone Saxophone and Bass Clarinet with scarcely padded neckstraps? :P

      Rahkshi Guurahk

Its just that I see everyone else with huge neckstraps, especially with lower saxes.

Hey, I play Alto Saxophone WITHOUT a padded neckstrap =P.

    4. Rahkshi Guurahk

      Rahkshi Guurahk

I play Alto Saxophone with no neckstrap at times. Though I put it back one quickly before I drop it :P

  15. "Now then, to time travel back to the 1920s, buy a Bass Sax from Buescher or Conn, go to WWII and get it melted down for artillery shells, collect the artillery shells in the late 50's, and get Selmer Paris to make Mark VIs out of them. Repeat." I honestly want to see the results of this.

    1. Rahkshi Guurahk

      Rahkshi Guurahk

As my band director last year believed least the Bass Saxes becoming artillery shells was the msot likely place they all went.

  16. "I've seen through my tenure instruments you've never dreamed of: Bass Clarinets in A, in Albert System no less, Eb Basset Horns, Boehm system Oboes, Semi-Contrabassoons, Sopranino Sarrusophones, Octavins, Heckelphones, Alto Flutes in F, Soprillo and Subcontrabass Saxes, one of 3 Bass Saxes in C, Paperclip contrabass clarinets, Soprano saxophones in A, and even more."

  17. So I got introduced to a new game: Glitchhikers.

  18. So I'll have an RG suggests music Friday: today's suggestion: Blue Shades, by Frank Ticheli

  19. Might not want to have your av drag that on the ground, might get a few dents. ;P (Also yay for Saxophone types that haven't been popular since the 30s (C-Melody))
