  2. I like it for specific calculations I'm too lazy to make. Also discussions on specific Pokemon are really interesting over there.
  3. Ah! That makes sense! So, about Into the Dalek: -CF
  4. You certainly can, but sometimes you want it to fill a niche role in your team. Usually Smogon's suggestions are for when the Pokemon is your team's base rather than the glue, unless it literally can't do anything but fill a niche role.
  5. Gathered friends, listen again to our legend of the BIONICLE In the time before time, We were rigid and without articulation But the design team illuminated us the three virtues: Unity, Duty, and the Metru build. We embraced these gifts and in turn created the Inika build, after the Metru build itself. But our happiness was not to last, for the design team's supervisors, the Makuta, based the design of the Av-Matoran build on it The design team was free to use the Av-Matoran build for eternity, and use it they did!
  6. You can look at Smogon for ideas and/or popular checks or counters. Doesn't mean you're copying their recommended movesets.
  7. The first step for the second awakening of Mata Nui has been completed. The next is for Omega Tahu, Hiker Mike and Greg Farshtey to defeat [vakamavoice] Makuta [/vakamavoice] and Gnuklear. I hope at some point Vultraz shows up at Kini-Nui so that we can all giggle while watching that moment/reading it.
  8. Probably a nature that lowers speed and raises one of the defenses. Sassy if you want extra Sp. Def or the -Spe+Def one (forgot which it is).
  9. Fair enough. I mainly like the older sets for the characters as well, but frankly I already have an extensive BIONICLE collection, and don't have any interest in getting duplicates of sets I already have unless I plan to use them as parts packs. If I had lots of huge gaps in my collection I might feel more of an incentive to try and fill them in, provided they're sets that I inadvertently missed my chance to get and not sets I deliberately passed up because they didn't interest me. And that makes complete sense. I felt like I had gaps, like 2003, and still have some, like the 2001 Rahi. Those all seem worth getting to me and I never had a chance at before. But as a counter, there's a reason I haven't touched anything 2009 with a twenty foot poll (...yet at least). ~|ET|~ Thornatus V9, tho.
  10. It's all unfolding as the prophecies foretold. FOR VICTORY! FOR GALLIFREY! FOR THE END OF TIME ITSELF! ooh wee ooh dum de dum dum de dum
  11. VICTORY! We have defeated death! TAKE THAT, SHINIGAMI! In all seriousness, that mask looks GREAT! To me it seems to draw a bit from Bionicle and a bit from HF and combines them in gorgeous harmony. EEK! Now we just need Hiker Mike to be confirmed for 2015.
  12. I'm gonna be buying a McToran shortly to have one of the first sets (I have three of the Toa Mata but the McToran came first). I also bought some Hero Factory sets from BA and IfB to get a feel for CCBS and see how things are currently. I gotta say, I'm really excited!
  13. I just hope next episode doesn't turn out like Hide.
  14. If it's announced that it'll be a continuation, we should probably put together a super story bible.
  15. I liked it. It was one of my favorite light-hearted filler episodes.
  16. Thank you! It drew a lot of inspiration from the Vorox and Vastus.
  17. They'd only need to do said research if the story was a direct continuation. If it was a timeskip or soft reboot that took place elsewhere, you'd only need the basic premise that can be said in one sentence. The point of it would be to acknowledge the existence of the past canon (at least not contradict it) but not depend on it for storytelling. Am I the only one here who likes the story because it was complex? Anyway, I think that a short couple of sentences will be able to satisfy the market of new fans. I loved the complexity too.
  18. Very much so. XD Back on topic, even though I said a sentence before, I'd say the best sentence to explain Bionicle (at least the beginning) is Turaga Vakama's legend.
  19. Why would they do that? The three of them should focus on [vakamavoice]Makuta[/vakamavoice] and Gnuklear. THIS! My most anticipated sets of 2015!! I legitimately want Gnuklear and that fake Makuta for the parts. XD (MATA RED SCARABAX SHIELD HALF YESSSSSS) PM me if you find out where they're being sold
  20. Why would they do that? The three of them should focus on [vakamavoice]Makuta[/vakamavoice] and Gnuklear. THIS! My most anticipated sets of 2015!!
  21. It also consists of a 3-part epic in which Omega Tahu and Hiker Mike team up to defeat Greg Farshtey.
  22. A retired Glatorian of the Jungle Tribe, Kanura! After the Shattering she participated in Arena Matches for a relatively short amount of years before she decided she wanted to be a guard for Agori caravans and expeditions. Her helmet is unique among Glatorian, it's actually connected to her head and flows through her back. She calls it "hair". During her days in the Arena, she used it to augment her headbutt's, this known as her signature move "Hairbutt". Wielding a Vorox-inspired spear with a Thornax Launcher attached and a small throwing dagger, Kanura has become a seeker of adventures. She was the most requested guard for any Agori caravan or expedition but one day she disappeared. She said she was going to Bota Magna and most people took that as a joke seeing as how Bota Magna was separated, but she was never seen again. Did she make it? Did she perish on the way? No one can tell except for Toa Lewa who's about to find out. 23. But that's only because Tolkien made sure to have the second chapter of The Fellowship of the Ring specifically explain all the plot elements of The Hobbit that are/will be relevant to the current story (namely the finding of the Ring and the encounter with Gollum). If he hadn't done that, reading The Hobbit would be necessary to understand The Lord of the Rings. Doctor Who is a different type of story. It's many small stories all connected to one character, not one huge unfolding story like Star Wars or Bionicle. Classic Who was small stories, Modern Who has a big overreaching story that, when nearing its end, gets expanded. You can still leap in from new Doctors, though. When the time comes, we're reminded of the necessary information. That can be done in a timeskip continuation. They give us the basic backstory in legend form without going into details, then doing a brand new story that acknowledges the existence of the past but doesn't rely on it. For example, Tahu and Kopaka being hessitant to go near a volcano because of "what happened long ago in that island chain". No need to go to specific details, just a throwaway reference.
  24. What is The Shadowed One's real name?
