The Piraka gang theme was great. Maybe because that's exactly what they were?

I hate that I missed out on the awesome Fero and Skirmix set. Some new animals would be awesome. Maybe like a cool shark or something?

Exactly. Now, I'm not saying that the Matoran were useless, but for the most part, the Toa had to face the lion's share of the conflict, which is why I personaly consider them to be the 'face' of the series.

The REAL question is how the heck you're going to fight whatever knocked that super nova out, especially if you aren't half as strong or fast or experienced as he was. I get rising above the challenge, and that's all fine and dandy. But I know for a fact only fools rush to fight what their betters couldn't defeat.

2006. Full stop. Best sets and characters and plot. The Piraka were fearsome and the Inika were just plain awesome. The All American Rejects thing was silly but Move Along fit the theme perfectly.

The Toa ARE the heroes of Bionicle. The Matoran and other characters helped out sometimes but in the end it was the Toa who stood against the dark forces of evil. Who calmed the Rahi? Toa. Bhorok? Toa. Rakshi? Toa. (Takanuva helped but he was also a Toa.) Vahki and Visorak? Toa. (Keetongu helped here.) Piraka? (YO YO) Toa. (With Axxon and like, six matoran who built their launchers and then disappeared.) Barraki? Toa. (Hydraxon didn't count and Leovikk was... elsewhere.) 2008's first half was the only year to have the Matoran do something useful. Even then by the second half of the year they disappeared.

I loved 2006. Best year ever.

I don't care for the Protectors. I want the REAL heroes, the Toa!

Easily 2010. That was a huge slap in the face to many of us and that garbage money grab about 'Golden Armor' really annoyed me. Before that, I loved all of the series,

I love the new set designs. I'm grabbing all six Toa next year and if they are released in December of this year then that's even better.

They can do that. And it wouldn't hurt to use an awesome song like 'Move Along' or 'Crashed' as a theme.

...It's a LEGO toyline, dude. I'm pretty sure people would be able to tell the difference between it and Transformers. Also, He Man hasn't been relevant since 2002.

OR They could have used canisters.

Exactly. This reason alone is why I don't have the Toa Mahri anymore. They didn't come in canisters! What were they thinking!?

As I'm reading this I'm glancing at my Mata Nui set and snickering. Star Soldier. It DOES kind of make sense.

Couldn't have said it better myself, Tohunga. And the Zamor Launchers (I love them!) made sense. They had an actual role in the story and were important rather than being a tacky accessory.
