  1. IC: Jason Ferro- Tunnel Ferro examined the contents of the shaft, trying to determine which path would suit his or Flood's abilities more. Finally, he turned to his partner to make a suggestion. "I could use magnetism to get to the side path. Do you think you can handle the beasts at bottom?" OOC: I'm assuming the ladder is metal, since a wooden one would break under the weight of a human sized robot. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Dropship 479er Casually shooting a brain off of a wall, Gorn was starting to wonder why they hadn't lifted off yet. Assuming that there was some issue with mission control, Wilhelm decided to ask Jade. "What's the holdup?"
  2. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Gunship 479er "Let's just say that I'm glad that I won't be the one scraping these things off the walls when this invasion is through." Gorn scanned the room for any brains that might have escaped, but found nothing other than brain paste. "Oh, and the ceiling, too."
  3. IC: Jason Ferro As he searched, Jason was met with a pair of tunnels, one looking to be far older than the other. Taking a moment to consider which route to take, he eventually decided upon the ancient one, and started down it.
  4. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Dropship 479er "With pleasure." Taking aim, Gorn unleashed a barrage of gunfire upon the brains, turning the ones he hit into paste. Some of the civilians weapons finished charging their weapons, and fired at the brains as well. Within moments, almost all of the brains had either retreated, or been killed.
  5. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Dropship 479er Gorn turned to the gun Jade referred to, and proceeded to man it. "I am now. Err... What other ships?"
  6. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Dropship 479er "Wait, then where were you offering to take people? Wouldn't it make sense to keep as many heroes here as possible, in order to defend against the brains and lava spewing ants?"
  7. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Gunship 479er Gorn just barely had been able to make it inside of the dropship before the hatch closed. Thankfully, none of the brains had done the same. "So, I assume we know the perpatrator's location by now?"
  8. OOC: Did Gorn make it into the dropship before she closed the hatch, or is he stuck outside?
  9. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Hangar Gear? The mighty Wilhelm Gorn needed no such thing! Besides, he hadn't brought anything but his weapons, and there was no way he's be able to get to the armory and back in three minutes. "Right. I presume you're going to the source of these things. Where is that, exactly?" As Gorn approached the dropship, preparing to board it, he heard a sound that he had come to know well in the past few months. Turning around, he saw that somehow, more evil brains than he could count had somehow gotten into the hangar, and we're moving from ship to ship in an attempt to hijack them. "Jade! There's brains in here!"
  10. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Dropship area As Gorn reached the area where Dropship's typically took off, a quick scan of his surroundings allowed him to locate the Dropship mentioned in the message, 479er. Approaching the ship, Gorn called out to the pilot presumably within, the one who had sent the message. "You're the one that messaged everyone, asking if we needed a drop, right?"
  11. IC; Jason Ferro- Dropship Jason was momentarily left in awe by the sheer size of the queen beast, but Breez's orders snapped him out of it, and he joined Flood in the search for the turbines. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Hero Factory entrance Gorn bashed a destroyer upside the head with his shield, sending it flying through the doors and out into the open. Gorn followed close behind, and finished the creature off before it could recover. Where were these things coming from, anyway? Then it hit him: Soneone must have found out already, and that's where Jade was taking everyone! Gorn began running for the dropships. Whoever was behind this, he would show them the wrath of a warrior who's home has been threatened...
  12. OOC: I'm gonna assume that the destroyers and brains are green NPCs like the beasts from last mission. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Hero Factory Entrance The insect-like creatures didn't stand a chance against Gorn's skills. One after another, they fell before his blade, their fire nullified by his shield. Some other heroes had shown up at this point, and were holding their own just as well. This couldn't be the only thing the mysterious attacker had up his sleeve! It just couldn't! Right then, Gorn received a message from a pilot calling herself Jade, asking if any hero needed a drop. A drop where?
  13. IC: Jason Ferro- Dropship "If I can see it, I can move it using magnetism. It'll take quite a bit of power, though, and I'm at around 60%, so we can't get them back into place using that alone. If we can get them out into the open, I know a way we can transport them easily." OOC: I'm pretty sure the scene where Jawblade punches Stormer was from the commercial for the breakout sets, not the episode.
  14. IC: Wilhelm Gorn-Hero factory entrance This was exciting! Someone's ATTACKING Hero Factory! Whoever did this must be really powerful! And where there was power, there was a new threat for Wilhelm Gorn to destroy... When Gorn had heard Zib's message, he had moved quicker than he ever had before. He couldn't let anyone else have all the fun, could he? As he reached the door, weapons drawn, Gorn was met with disappointment at the sight of a number of odd bug-like creatures. He had been expecting something like Von Nebula. Or maybe an oversized beast. Or maybe TWO Von Nebulas... Not a bunch of overgrown ants! Oh well, they would have to do... Assuming a battle stance, Gorn charged at one of the creatures about to attack a worker, shield held in front of his body, and sword ready to decapitate.
  15. OOC: So, has the invasion started already, or do we need to wait for a post before we begin retaliating? Also, whenever it does start, will the brain master's ship be within the atmosphere, or in space above the city?
  16. IC: Jason Ferro- Dropship "I guess you're right. I'm not dead, no civilians were injured, and we got the ship back. Not such a bad mission, I suppose." OOC: Ship Profile: Name: The Iron Hornet Size: Small Pilot: Jason Ferro NPCs: None Communication: Hero Factory Navigation: Some basic maps, and 360 degree cameras. The ship is piloted by Ferro, while another hero can face backwards and act as a gunner. The ship can also be summoned to Ferro's position, or controlled remotely using a device on his forearm. Weapons/armor: The ship is lightly armored, being able to take hits from bullets and lasers, though something like a missile would put it out of commission. It is armed with two foreword facing laser cannons, controlled by Ferro, as well as a backward facing articulated laser cannon, controlled by the gunner. It also has a towing cable attached to the bottom, for whatever reason. Propulsion: The Iron hornet was designed to be very fast and agile, in order to make it as difficult to hit as possible. The ship can switch between two modes: a mode made for flying as quickly as possible, used for chasing down other ships and aerial combat, and a hover mode, which it assumes by shifting the position of it's wings to reveal a pair of turbines. This mode is much slower than the speed mode, and is used for combat against ground based targets. The ship has to land in order to switch between modes. Landing: The ship can easily land on many surfaces due to it's small size, including the outside of larger ships, as Ferro can magnetize the landing gear.
  17. IC: Jason Ferro- Dropship "Not really. The whole boat heist thing happened pretty soon after Mr. Makuro arrived. There wasn't really time to do much else. A few beasts tried to ambush me when I was on a different ship, but that went about as well for them as you would expect."
  18. IC: Jason Ferro- Inside the drop ship Ferro entered the dropship and took a seat where heroes would normally sit. OOC: Ferro's busy, so I'll make a new hero to participate in the mission. Hero profile: Name: Wilhelm Gorn Powers and abilities: Gorn is a master in the art of combat. He has been programmed to counter many different kinds of fighting styles, and wield many different kinds of weapons. He has fast reflexes and high physical strength. He is well armored, though this hinders his running speed somewhat. All of these combined make him a force to be reckoned with in any fight, especially in hand-to-hand combat. Weapons: Gorn carries a Plasma Longsword, which is able to superheat in order to allow it to cut through all but the strongest of substances with some effort. He also carries a shield, which is easily capable of deflecting things like bullets and lasers, though it does not provide quite as much protection against explosions. Both weapons can be carried either on his back or belt. Appearance: Gorn's armor is modeled after that of a medieval knight, or whatever the Hero factory equivalent would be. The armor is black, with red highlights. His eyes and core are red as well. His helmet is based on a flat-topped medieval great helm. At the moment, it has had horns added to the top for protection against brains. He's not as bulky as one would think, only about the size of a standard hero. He also wears a large dark grey cape with a hood, simply because he thinks it looks cool. That philosophy probably also applies to most of his other gear, though he denies it. Bio: Originally built to fight large numbers of enemies for long periods of time, Gorn is what you would get if the "Blood knight" trope was taken literally and given physical form. Wilhelm lives for combat, and combat alone. When encountering a villain, he is often more concerned with proving his combat prowess than actually catching them. He has a loud, rambunctious personality, and often neglects to try and solve even the smallest of problems with diplomacy. Despite this, he isn't a bully, and holds no real malice towards anyone, villain or hero. He is sympathetic for those who have no way to defend themselves, though whether this is simply because he feels sorry that they will never feel the thrill of combat remains to be seen. Despite all of this, he has shown hints that this may not be his true personality. During times of extreme stress or frustration, he becomes cold, bloodthirsty, and merciless. Though he doesn't dislike villains in general, he has shown animosity towards those who kill without reason. He is disliked by heroes that are against violence, partially due to the fact that he holds the record for the most villains "accidentally" killed on assignments. Weaknesses: Gorn rarely, if ever, attempts to solve problems with diplomacy, and even when he does, it usually goes poorly. He also relies on his built in combat knowledge a little too much, allowing an opponent to get the better of him if they do something truly unpredictable. He's also not particularly smart, and rarely thinks ahead, preferring to simply improvise. IC: Scourge- The Scourgemobile- Leaving the Mekronite belt Scourge was honestly surprised that everything has gone as well as it had. It had successfully retrieved a corpse, one that would likely be able to feed it for a couple of months, at least. It had also potentially gained some more notoriety, and the pathetic hero would probably be scarred for life. All in all, quite a good day. Getting bolder was turning out to be a very profitable move. Setting the ship's auto pilot to fly to a villain-friendly system where it could hide for a little while, Scourge got up and went to the cargo hold, to prepare it's first meal in a long time... OOC: I'll leave what happens next up to your imagination. Scourge probably won't make an appearance in the current mission, either.
  19. IC: Scourge- The Scourgemobile Scourge could tell by the sound of the handhold giving way that the hero had been successfully thrown off. With that last obstacle gone, it flew off, heading for the atmosphere. As it left, some of the bags of garbage that Thumper threw went a bit too close to the engines, and had their bags partially melted by the heat, sending bits of garbage falling back down to the streets. One in particular contained organic material, so the garbage that fell from it was on fire. Despite it's escape, Scourge knew that the heroes were likely to inform their comrades of it's presence on the planet. Once it was out of the atmosphere, it would make sure to leave the Mekronite Belt as soon as possible. OOC: Was looking on heropedia to find out what planet Mechron city is on, and apparently it's actually spelled "Mekron".
  20. IC: Scourge- The Scourgemobile Scourge was startled by the hero's yelling, but quickly regained it's composure. It knew that the hero would likely attempt to force her way in, but it was unconcerned. This ship had once been used to transport goods, and as such, was made to be quite durable, to protect against criminals. Quite ironic, considering it's current purpose. Now, if this hero's grip was as strong as it was before, she was about to go on the ride of her life... Without warning, Scourge hit the gas pedal, causing the ship to rise several feet into the air, presumably lifting the hero off the ground. They then proceeded to turn the ship around as quickly as possible, in an attempt to fling the hero away, before lifting off into the skies of Mechron city.
  21. IC: Scourge- Mechron city streets Come on... Where... There! Scourge felt a sense of relief wash over it as it found the key box, stuck to the underside of the ship. It definitely needed to get a keychain or something. Scourge considered it for a moment, before realizing that it had nowhere to put a keychain, either. No matter. Scourge used the key to unlock the cockpit, climbed inside, and began to start up the ship... IC: Jason Ferro- Cargo ship's deck "Sounds like a solid plan to me."
  22. IC: Jason Ferro- Cargo ship's deck "Oh... I knew that. I was simply clarifying that I was coming... Because, you know, he said "might as well", so... He didn't say for sure that I had to... You know what, I think I'll just stop talking, now..." Ferro hated it when he misunderstood people. He knew he was far from the brightest hero, but he wasn't the dumbest, either. The misunderstandings however, happened often enough that he was sure people were questioning his intelligence by now.
  23. IC: Jason Ferro- Cargo ship's deck "I'll go with you to get the turbines. Like he said, my abilities could be useful in the situation." OOC: Zippy, my post with Scourge is on the previous page, if that's what you meant by "waiting on a post".
  24. IC: Scourge (cloaked)- Mechron city streets While the two heroes were speaking with the police, Scourge was making it's way back to it's ship. The vessel was near the front of the police station, but concealed from anyone within's direct line of sight by a nearby building. Climbing down from the roof, Scourge kept out of view as it carried it's prize to it's escape route. It hardly mattered if it remained undetected at this point, since the heroes could still track it using it's blood trail. Opening the back doors of the ship, Scourge tossed in the corpse, before locking the doors and proceeding to the cockpit. In order to unlock the door, Scourge needed the key. It lacked pockets, of course, so the key was kept in a magnetic key box on the underside of the ship, near the entrance to the cockpit. Now, if Scourge could just remember where they hid it last... IC: Jason Ferro- Inside the cargo ship "Well, we know someone designed them, so it's not a stretch that they designed them to be able to form plans, or perhaps just take orders from those who do." Ferro's optics adjusted to the increased brightness as him and Flood emerged from the ship.
  25. IC: Scourge (cloaked)-Mechron city police station Feeling the weight of the hero leave it's leg, Scourge wasted no time in clambering the rest of the way up the wall, out of the broken skylight, and onto the roof. Momentarily dropping the corpse to give the illusion of having run away, Scourge turned to look down on the officers and heroes still in the police station, and tempted fate by uncloaking in order to taunt them. Seeing the look of defeat on their faces, Scourge couldn't help but unleash a triumphant cackle, a cackle which was cut short due to having to dodge part of a broken desk. Deciding that it had taken enough risks today, it reactivated it's cloaking device before hurriedly retreating, corpse in hand. IC: Jason Ferro- Inside the cargo ship "It's been pretty... uneventful, for me. When the beasts stole this ship, I assumed that it was for something important, seeing as they seemed to be directing it to go somewhere specific. Then we show up here, and well... Nothing. There doesn't seem to be any real reason to bring the ship here, other than to keep a few heroes busy."
