  1. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Extreme Skydiving How his target had noticed him, Gorn had no idea. What he did know, however, was that now there were several energy blasts headed his way. Dodging the shots in midair would be difficult, if not impossible. Blocking them would be significantly less so. Gorn's shield protected him from most of the blasts, which had the unintended side effect of pushing him backwards, slightly slowing his fall. Others missed entirely, due to his rapidly changing position. Deactivating his sword, he landed several meters away from Night Stalker, rolling as he hit the ground. He quickly raised his shield into a defensive position, before beginning to advance on the villain.
  2. OOC: I was intending to have Gorn target Night Stalker.
  3. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Jumping out Satisfied, Gorn followed his newfound ally. He jumped out of the ship, allowing himself to fall through the air, about to ruin some unlucky villain's day. He found himself falling towards the one with armor colors similar to his own, preoccupied with firing at the invisible Hero/possible ghost. Grinning under his helmet, he ignited his blade as he closed in for the kill.
  4. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Jumping out "You may do the honors." Wilhelm wanted to make sure that Var wasn't simply trying to get him out of the ship so he could take control.
  5. IC: Jason Ferro- Antropolis city Jason watched the video in horror, still being unable to process what was happening. Thankfully, his logic circuits took over, and he began forming a plan. "You... You guys should probably get back to the factory. I'll take care of the turbines."
  6. IC: Jason Ferro- Processing... Processing... Jason was silent for a few seconds, not believing what he had just heard. "Hero Factory?! DESTROYED?! How?!"
  7. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Preparing to jump Gorn was understandably suspicious of Var's proposal but it would, at the very least, prevent him from killing Jade once Gorn had left. "I accept your offer. For now, at least." IC: Jason Ferro- Antropolis City "We're needed? What happened?"
  8. IC: Arsenal- Makuhero City rooftop Having gotten as far away from the factory as he could without losing too much power, Arsenal found the tallest building available, and flew to the roof. There, he finally contacted his ship, calling it to his location. It had been damaged prior to his arrest on Tranquis, that being the reason he had to use the pathetic weaponless one. By now, the repairs had probably been finished, and the ship would be ready to take him to the planet Mechna. He had a cache of weapons and armor there, not to mention that there were so many villains there that no hero in their right mind would ever try to follow him... IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Preparing to live up to his name As the dropship drew closer to the ground, Gorn calmly walked back to the troop bay, clutching his plasma sword. He eyed the hole in the ceiling, wondering if he could jump from the ship to the ground without injuring himself.
  9. OOC: Actually, can I add something to the ship profile? The ship is supposed to have a set of laser cutters on the outside, in order to allow Arsenal to cut his way into larger ships. It's where the name of the ship comes from, and I still somehow forgot to add it. I apologize.
  10. OOC: He could have stolen a dropship...but did he?OOC: No... And even if he did, he only has one arm, remember? He wouldn't be able to pilot just any random ship he comes across. Speaking of which, here's the idea that I had for Arsenal's ship when I first created him: Ship Profile: Name: Lamprey Size: Medium Pilot: Arsenal Communications: The ship is fully capable of communicating with just about everyone, however, special codes are needed to do so. Most of Arsenal's frequent customers have access to them, as do many fellow mercenaries and criminals he has worked with in the past. Navigation: The ship has a few very basic Star Maps, as well as an autopilot function. It can be "called" to Arsenal using the communication systems and a device implanted in Arsenal's head, sometimes from another planet. The signal can become weak if it's impeded by physical objects. The ship also contains a few spare handheld weapons, and a laughably small holding cell for prisoners. Weapons/armor: It's Arsenal, so nothing you wouldn't expect. The ship is fitted with a pair of laser cannons and missile launchers, with thick armor, at the expense of speed. It has a device used to hide it from any radars other ships might have, but not an actual cloaking device. It's main feature, however, is the device mounted on it's side. A set of magnets will grip the hull of a larger ship, while the laser cutters cut a large hole in the it. This assembly is placed around a door in the Lamprey's side, allowing Arsenal to break into ships with ease if he can get up close. Propulsion: The ship isn't fast, nor is it agile. Arsenal's strategy relies on overpowering his enemies with weapons before they manage to get through his armor. It's not meant for long space battles. Landing: The ship can land on anything comparable in size to it.
  11. IC: Scourge- Shady bar, Mechna Having fled to a villain-friendly system after it's attack on the Mekron City Police Station, Scourge was taking some time to unwind before deciding upon a new target for when the last corpse had been consumed. They were beginning to like Mechna. It was one of the few planetss it could go to where it wouldn't look out of place in the slightest. Plus, the drinks here went quite well with the severed arm it was eating, oblivious to the disturbed looks it was getting from some of the other customers. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- About to live up to his name From the ship, Gorn could see that some of the villains responsible for the factory's destruction had survived the crash, just as he thought. He would soon remedy that. It seemed that two of them were fighting an invisible foe away from where the others were standing. Either that, or a ghost. He hoped it wasn't a ghost. Gorn hated ghosts. He couldn't cut them with a sword.
  12. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Always putting others first "Ignore the ship for now. My veng... I mean, the survivors cannot wait! If I'm correct, there are several villains down there prepared to kill those who survived the blast!" OOC: Would it be reasonable to assume that Arsenal has made his way off the planet at this point?
  13. IC: Jason Ferro- Antropolis city Ferro re-entered the area where Furno, Breez, and the dropship were waiting, turbine in tow. "So, where do these things need to be returned to?"
  14. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- At least he still has his laser sword. Gorn was left speechless at the sight of Hero Factory collapsing, with a large ship splitting in half directly above it, possibly the one that had attacked initially, Gorn couldn't tell. Either way, the battle had been lost. There was no telling who had been killed, but it was likely that a great number of heroes had lost their lives. "We... We should probably go back..." As he thought more about what had just happened, anger began to build up, so much so, that Var's comment went completely unnoticed by the knight-like hero. Whatever villains had survived the ship splitting in half, we're going to wish that they had never been built...
  15. IC: Jason Ferro- Underground tunnel Reaching the top of the ladder, Ferro pulled himself up onto the surface once again, before anchoring himself to the ground, so as not to be pulled back over the edge by the magnetic field he was about to create. Using said field, the turbine quickly levitated up to Ferro, who set in down next to him to wait for Flood to reach the top. He noticed that communication with the factory seemed to have gone dead, but he shrugged it off, attributing it to his location as opposed to damage to the factory. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ungrounded Gorn attempted to contact Zib, in order to get an update on the battle he thought was progressing below. Instead, he received nothing. Fearing the worst, he tried to get Jade to contact them instead, to see if it was simply damage to his communication systems. "Jade, can you contact the factory? My communications seem to have gone dead."
  16. OOC: They could in theory, but I think that things like Var's hatred of "droids" and Gorn's distrust of the former would prevent an alliance from happening just yet.
  17. OOC: Red, purely for color scheme reasons.
  18. IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal Room "Yeah! You know, whenever we get the chance, we really should come back here and explore that weird underground city. There was something... off... about that place." As he and Flood reached the bottom of the shaft, Ferro set down the turbine before starting to climb the ladder back up to the surface.
  19. OOC: Like a lightsaber, with a cross guard. (Not the Kylo Ren kind, one designed for blocking regular blades).
  20. IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal Room Ferro decided not to tempt fate by trying to twirl his pistols, instead quietly holstering them before picking up the turbine, and taking it through the opening. OOC: I wonder if Fishers is simply tired of hosting the RPG, and wants to end the game as quickly as possible.
  21. OOC: I doubt 24 hours is enough time, considering that most of the people who play this have other obligations to attend to. IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal Room "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." Taking careful aim, Ferro fired a single bullet at a crack in the stone, causing a small section of rock to fall off of the wall and onto the cavern floor. Seconds later, he fired at a different spot, with similar results. With each shot revealing further weaknesses in the stone, Ferro began firing faster and faster, until the cavern floor was littered with chips of stone, and the opening had been widened significantly.
  22. IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal room Ferro carefully set the turbine down in order to inspect the exit. "If it can't, it's not by a huge amount, but we still shouldn't risk it." He drew both pistols, and took aim at the edges of the opening. "I could probably make some "modifications" to the hole, which might make it wide enough to fit the turbine." IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ungrounded Suddenly curious as to what had caused the ship to be spontaneously buried, Gorn walked into the cockpit where Jade was, in order to see out of it. "So, any idea what could have entombed the ship?"
  23. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ungrounded Gorn was somewhat relieved when the ship began flying again. Dying via falling thousands of feet to the planet below in a metal box would be a horrible way to go. He wasn't planning on dying anytime soon, but whenever it happened, Gorn wanted his death to be as impressive as possible. Something with explosions, preferably. It seemed that Jade and Var had stopped arguing, as well. Good. Watching those two argue was like watching someone repeatedly punch a wall. At this point, Gorn was at a loss for what to do. Without a doubt, his opponent was prepared for him to attack at any moment, as was he. Attempting to wait them out, Gorn decided to stay put, allowing the ship to fill with awkward silence. OOC: Zippy, I think you missed my last Ferro post, a page or two ago.
  24. IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal Room "Yeah. One at a time, though. If I carry them both at once, I'll probably end up dropping them." Using magnetism to levitate the generator above his hand, Ferro started back towards the tunnel.
  25. IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal Room "You threw rocks at a force field? Has that worked for you before?" From anyone else, a response like that would have been delivered by a voice dripping of sarcasm, but Ferro was genuinely curious. He had heard of some pretty weird things happening to other heroes before, so a force field with a weakness to rocks wasn't completely out of the question. As he continued to pull the turbine out of the river, he noticed the force field grow smaller and smaller, until it dissipated upon reaching dry land once again. IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Ungrounded The situation was getting more and more tense for Gorn by the minute. Being stuck in a room with someone who wanted to kill him while neither of them could do so was a situation that Gorn didn't often find himself in. And he hated it. What was taking the pilot so long? Judging from her smirk while glancing back at him and Var, she was delaying the ship's restart deliberately. Why she would do so, Gorn didn't know. Var seemed to be unfazed, and Gorn's helmet hid his facial expression, so she would have no way of knowing how annoyed he was by the situation. It seemed that all he could do was wait for her to finish with her petty revenge. If she wasn't going to listen to a telekinetic space wizard with a laser sword, she probably wasn't going to listen to him, either...
