It's a bit of a passive thing at the moment, I had a bunch of spares left from back in the day, and I handle a lot of bulk these days where I very occasionally pick some up. They were so overpriced in the UK that barely anyone bought them so I don't find that many. I don't need any of the new additions, but I do happen to need the Met Green/Met Grey 4. I didn't look at the 1s and 4s as first because they are much more common. I'd be happy to do the 4 I have for the 5 I've mentioned. I saw on FB you mentioned having 2 of the Cyclone 5s, how much cash would you want in addition for one of them?

I commend anyone still trying for these at this point! It was difficult back in the day, it's near impossible now. I have spares of: Met Grey/Met Green 3 Mey Gret/Met Blue 2 Bronze/Yellow 5 I also have: Met Grey/Met Blue 3 Met Gret/Met Blue 6 Red/Blue 2 Red/Met Green 6 Bronze/Copper 2 These ones are part of my second set in progress, although I am only 177/256 and am not actively searching. I would be willing to trade my non extras, because having 8 of the 16 you need is a lot, but you only have the 3x level 2s and the 1x level 3 that I need, aside from the Cyclone of course.

Your price certainly isn't an "I need the money now" kind of price. My advice, as someone who made it, albeit a long time ago, don't give up. Only a few people have ever made it, and you are so close. I know those Cyclones are daunting.

Wouldn't be surprised if that guy has multiple and is slow releasing them. If he revealed he had 20 of them up front there's no way they would go that high at auction.

Are those from production molds or actual prototypes? Pretty sweet either way!

I don't know how I didn't see this one. I need that Dark Blue Metru mask to complete a Karzahni. The whole lot went for cheaper than just the mask on BL, makes no sense.

I think this image was posted in the original topic waaaay back in the day, but it's good that it's resurfaced again. Oh the days where people didn't carry an incredibly powerful camera at all times and international shipping was difficult for 10 year olds

My best guess would be they somehow found an overlap at some point in time with these still being 'in stock' internally at LEGO, and being able to place orders through customer service. I'm going to message the BL seller and see if they will reveal any secrets. EDIT: Also, would you mind linking the original facebook post/group?

So glad to finally have you here! I've been checking (stalking) your twitter and IG for months awaiting any updates. These masks are a thing of dreams and we need more! First of all, any further details of where/who you obtained them from, and where they got them from, as far back in the timeline as is possible would be wonderful. Second, I suppose it must be said, any further pictures of the masks would be greatly appreciated, especially shots compared to other parts of the same color from the same era. While it's absolutely believable that unknown mythical Bionicle parts show up over 20 years later, and the pictures you provided were great, there is a rise in popularity of resin "replicas" (fakes) out there that are getting better. While I don't think I've seen a resin mask that could stand up to close inspection, I'm not saying it's not possible, and unfortunately we are likely to see these fakes being passed off as the real thing at some point in the future if the craft is mastered. As for the price... unfortunately out of my reach, as much as I'd love to have one. You could probably look at the sky Kakama as your base price, while there are 3 known examples AFAIK, only one has ever been sold and the other two owners seem pretty elusive, but having true one of a kinds? The sky is the limit I guess, you've stumbled upon a fortune. - Roger

I'd take Bricklink sales with a pinch of salt, there's no way of proving if the item was correct, or the transaction even took place. I'd say 3k for a White Huna is very extreme, there's a few of them out there, I wouldn't put it anywhere near the Sky Kakama that recently sold.
