  1. Every day, helpless Skull Spiders grow closer and closer to extinction. Help us save them from destruction now. Support the Matoran Wildlife Fund and help us speak for those who have no voice. #SaveTheSkullSpiders https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlZsaPlecjg
  2. Haven't really been at this for a while, have I... BAD ME, BAD! I've been MOCing up storm and building some new characters for future videos, as well as updating current characters in the roster. I'll also be experimenting with a new style of filming that actually makes the episode look like a character is shooting a vlog. All in all, expect great changes!
  3. My guess is that Piras is like the enforcer for the higher order lawmakers, or something like that. Much like Ultra Magnus in TF: MTMTE, he'll be the "Duly Appointed Enforcer of the (insert law/act here)". For all we know, he could be a villain in a whole different way. Maybe he will end up supporting a government that shows the Matoran some love on the outside, but the Toa Novus find out that the inner workings of the government really hate the Matoran and are using the Toa Miro as puppets. Either way, I know this is going to be good.
  4. Is it possible to implement a chapter selection? I already played through the first two chapters, but when I started the game to preview chapter three, none of my progress was saved and I started back at the very beginning. If there isn't such function, I completely understand. It would probably require more work and more time that you do not have. I will get to chapter three eventually.
  5. If you can do it, then props to you. If you can't then someone like me completely understands. However, I did vote yes, so... hop to it. Now to press yes 99 more times...
  6. That, and the Nuva and Inika masks. I dislike the Nuva kanohi due to their goopy, tar-like consistency and their very un-Bionicle aesthetic. If the details had blunt edges like in earlier and later masks, I'd probably actually like them... But instead the details' edges are supremely bevelled, which has them bleed into each-other in a most ugly fashion. Explain this design decision away all you like, but that doesn't change the fact that it looks ugly when compared to later and earlier mask designs. Speaking of later mask designs however, we come across an exception; the Inika's Kanohi. They had mouths with teeth, and were made of rubber. What genius thought that was a good idea exactly? No backwards or forwards compatibility, questionable design choices (The Hahlistache comes to mind)... I am ever so glad I only got one of those bloody things (Jaller's). It has since been sold. And again, they are terrible regardless of the scapegoat slice of canon generated to explain them away. Oh, and reflecting back on G1, I also don't like the abolition of built-in mechanisms. Bionicle figures went from action packed toys which did stuff, to just toys with guns strapped onto them. To me, a Bionicle set without some semblance of a mechanism feels somewhat lifeless. Yes, launchers did somewhat fill that void, but as a centralised artefact - not part of the figures themselves. However, it doesn't really matter too much for me if the figure is quite small (See: The vast majority of Matoran). Eh. The Kakama, Miru and Kaukau were okay. The Hau to an extant. Inika masks were just flat out terribad I think that the face designs for the Inika look pretty nice, but the fact that they're not compatible with anything ruins it for me. Jaller's face is probably my least favorite, but I think that some like Matoro and Hewkii look really neat. Had they been designed differently, they could have been some really cool looking masks. Yeah. The only reason the masks are terribad is the lack of compatibility is a deal breaker. Calix was bad, Kadin was pretty bad, and Kongu's mask is kinda bad because of the design. He looks like the Creature from the Black Lagoon Am I seriously the only person who likes every mask put out in the Bionicle line!?
  7. Gali is my favorite, with the very close second being either Kopaka or Pohatu.
  8. This chapter really got me interested. No more talking, it's time for real stuff.
  9. And people say that Lego doesn't care about their fans... pfft. In all seriousness, they do have a great marketing scheme that has transitioned well to social media platforms. I applaud Lego; they're doing a great job as it is, and being in the number one spot is, to me, a confirmation that they're doing something right.
  10. Episode 12 is available on the Bionicle Website!
  11. 2006 had some guys with maniacal grins and metal fences, but 2015 has guys being burnt and crushed for entertainment. Actually the more I think about it, the worse it sounds XD. Zombie spiders and creepy zombie warriors not withstanding? Are we also sure that Ekimu isn't a vampire? He's been asleep in a sarcophagus/coffin for many years...
  12. The small mask on Skull Grinder serves a pretty valuable purpose, actually. First, in being smaller than most masks, it's more like an actual skull (i.e. smaller than a complete face would normally be). Secondly (like on Onua), a smaller mask allows for something akin to "forced perspective", making the figure as a whole seem larger than he actually is. In fact, the sets this year use that trick to evoke the opposite effect as well—note that the Protector mask is actually one of the largest masks this year, giving the Protectors a more diminutive appearance despite being larger and more complex than most villager sets from the old theme. I understand that it's a supposed to be a skull, but it looked bigger in promotional art. Stuff like that happens from time to time, but I'm not jaded by it. I personally don't care how big it is, it's still a beautifully designed mask.
  13. I got MMvsSG and Slicer yesterday, and then another MMvsSG as part of my prize for the Skull Week raffle from BS01. Talk about timing. Both sets are great, and while I'm disappointed in the size of Kulta's mask (being smaller than Onua's mask), I love the work they put into it. The Mask of Creation is probably the best mask ever made, chock full of delicious detailing with scripts and fine edges. It almost reminds me of the helmet worn by the Worker of Secrets in Infinity Blade 3. Slicer is a lot of fun because of that function. I don't even care about his mask because it fits him so well. It's creepy, and that's what it needs to be. The drained Mask of Jungle is also a very nice treat, as it combines two of my favorite things about action figures into one piece: color swirl and light piping. The weapons are very nice in this wave. The hooks actually work, and are overall an interesting concept not seen in Bionicle before if I do recall. The swords look like expanded HF Brain Attack swords, and can be put side to side just like those swords. The axes are also very nice, but they wiggle around a bit too much when striking an opponent. I trust the quality of the plastic, though, it won't break anytime soon.
  14. The Bohrok Animations were neat, but I've taken a liking to the 2015 Animations. They're just so smooth and I love the style, as it reminds me of the style used in the former but is still new and recognizable.
  15. Judging by the "Turbo from Slizer" look, as well as the small black grains, I'd say... Mech/Vehicle/Other Thingamabob?
  16. I picked 2015. And I am not ashamed, because I mean it. As a fan since 2001, I admire the new line even more than anything in G1. The sets are top notch awesomeness, the story is intriguing, and the marketing strategy is clever. I'm more engaged in Bionicle now than I ever was during the original run, and dare I say, I think the line's going to be a success.
  17. Are you Kadin me? Komaun! I'm a Harry Potter fan because I like the Elda Wand.
  18. I don't know what it is, but I just love your style, especially with differentiated body types.
  19. Way to be so Tiribombastic.
  20. Lewa: Hey, can we go to the arena! I really wanna go to the arena! Kopaka: No. We're not going to the arena. Lewa: Please? Kopaka: No. Lewa: PLEASE? Kopaka: NO. Lewa: PLEASE!? Kopaka: NO, AND THAT IS FINAL! *Later* Kopaka: *finds Lewa unconscious* This is why I work alone...
  21. "Uh oh, Lewa __________________ again. Go save him, Onua!" Kongu: a disgrace among all Toa of Air for his inability to fly.
  22. That would actually be pretty cool. I guess Onua is the only one who could participate, seeing as he has a hammer (Skull Slicer doesn't, though...). I'd love it if Lewa is saved by Onua. It only makes sense. They could even make it comedic; Slicer doesn't have a hammer and tries to steal Onua's, but Onua knocks him back and wins the game. Slicer will have started out as acting like a really bad guy, but ultimately fails against the Toa. Then again, it could be a team effort where the other four Toa have to defend Onua from Slicer's attacks, Onua ends up winning the game, and Lewa is saved through the power of unity.
  23. I have a feeling that a G2 story contest would be a bad move to take by Lego. Chances are that most of the writers would write about either connections to G1 or characters with G1 names to be placed in G2. The fact that Lego wants to get away from both of those things would make a contest like this unlikely.
  24. My guess is that they'll have the throwback in the form of Hammer Flush. To save Lewa, Onua must use his abilities against Skull Slicer in a game of Hammer Flush. If he wins, Lewa gets his mask back. If he loses, Slicer keeps the mask for himself and bad stuff happens in the meantime.
  25. That was the best. You just made my day better. Thank you.
