  1. I know right. I hated the Agori builds that they used for the Matoran. Of course, I guess you have to cut the av-matoran some slack, given that Lego might've had to do that so they could ride on the backs of the Toa Nuva. But still, they were like 11 pieces.
  2. I like how all of the builds for the Voya Nui Matoran were indivisually unique.
  3. I just wish I was born earlier and was able to start Bionicle as soon as it began. And I started in 2007, in kindergarten at the time so there wasn't/isn't really any way to argue that I could have started sooner.
  4. I think it would be really neat if it does so happen to be that Bionicle 2015 is a continuation, that there was maybe some sort of partnership between the old Teridax and a new Teridax (or Makuta). Like maybe the Great Beings mess up on one of their experiments or something like that and end up making a second Teridax, and the old Teridax takes him under his wing.

  6. If you haven't seen the video for the new "Mask of Creation," click here: https://www.facebook.com/LEGOBionicle Scroll down when you click on the link, because recently Lego posted some new things about NYCC, which I was extremely excited about until I realized that tickets were sold out. But of course, this isn't "Justin cringes upon his ignorance and hopes desperately someone uploads videos on Bionicle in NYCC"; this is where I want to hear your opinion on the new Mask Attachment.
  7. Definitely. For a long time, Bionicle wasn't exactly considered the most popular Lego franchise after it discontinued, though now that it's coming back in 2015, it's likely that it'll get back up there in popularity. Not only will it fork in new fans with it's science-fiction/mythological story, but it will also fork in old fans like me who are too nostalgic to not pay attention. This will also cause old fans to maybe tend to their nostalgia a little bit more by collecting some of the older sets, hence hightening the prices. The newer fans will also become curious when the find out that there were old Bionicle sets in the first place, and will likely want to collect those as well as the old sets.
  8. Body type: Mahritoran Arms and legs colour: Green, with light green arms and legs Mask: Green Miru (Early Nuva) Job (optional): Mask Maker
  9. It's difficult to choose between, Creeping in My Soul, Gravity Hurts, Crashed, Face Me, Closer to the Truth, and the Mask of Light theme. And this is just speaking generally; I could literally put every Bionicle song in a playlist, and I wouldn't mind listening to it for an hour (except for the Piraka Rap).
  10. I've been waiting four years for this moment. *reloads wallet* It's go time.
  11. Given the Red Star revives beings who have died of old age, however, it's possible for them to live on, but they would be trapped in the Red Star. According to the Bionicle Wiki, however, "The Star also served as a means of resurrecting the deceased beings in the Matoran Universe. There bodies were teleported to the Red Star, where their bodies were either repaired or their consciousness were transplanted into a new body." So they're only "trapped" in the Red Star until they can be returned, either repaired or with a different body.
  12. Although the title mentions the lifetime of a Matoran, this topic really goes for all Bionicles. Do they die of natural causes? An immediate answer to this would probably be no, since they're robots and robots don't die. But you have to remember that they also have a biological and organic aspect to them, and all organisms in real life die. I was just really interested in this topic and wanted to hear your thoughts.
  13. I got my first Bionicle set in 2007 when I was in kindergarten. My best friend at the time, kept on bringing in his Solek Av-Matoran set. I was intrigued by the figure- it was nothing like I had ever seen before. And as such, I went home and asked my mother to buy me one. We were walking through Toys 'R' Us, and the only thing that was going through my mind was what in the world my friend's Bionicle looked like, because I had forgotten yet wanted so dearly to get the same as his. The only thing I could remember was that it was white. At the end of the day, I didn't end up getting Solek, but I did end up getting Matoro from the Toa Mahri. After that day, I started searching through the internet for anything related to Bionicle, and found a few YouTube channels like LegoMationStudio and robomaniac7. I'd constantly see these mind-blowing advertisements on television for Bionicle such as Creeps from the Deep and the Toa Mahri Movie. To me, Bionicle was the coolest thing ever, for lack of a better word. It's dark feel just grabbed me and got me enveloped into the franchise. I would go to BionicleStory.com (which is no longer a website, it was taken down by Lego after the discontinuation of Bionicle) to look for sets that I wanted from previous years, because I felt left out since I started so "late" in the toyline. Every Christmas, my father would buy me older sets on Amazon (my mother rarely bought things online because she was afraid of identity theft) and he still does to this day.
  14. Not being a fan that started during those years, I can sort of give an objective standpoint on this. As much as I enjoyed the building designs of 2001 - 2004, and as much as I wished gear functions would continue before Bionicle had ended, I must say that I enjoyed the dark feel of the 2007 sets. And I can't be the only one who got really excited when Lego released the story that explained the origins of the Bionicle Universe.
  15. They were probably meant to be old in the beginning, because I believe I've heard Greg Farshtey say once that he's the kind of person to just start writing a story and then just go from there without any prewrite. However, if there's any mystery involved, he said that he strongly recommends that the writer have an idea of how the mystery is solved beforehand.
  16. To be honest, I think that if Greg Farshtey was going to write the story, the toyline wouldn't have been so bad. Although I probably would've been pushed away by the lack of aesthetic appeal, such as the names of sets, the name of the whole franchise in the first place, and etcetera.
  17. Just recently, I was searching through my Bionicle collection, and to my surprise, I had found my very first Bionicle set. It was like a shockwave of nostalgia ran through every bone in my body as soon as I layed my eyes on it. As you might've expected, I nearly cried. If you're interested in knowing, I got my first Bionicle set in 2007 when I was in kindergarten. My best friend at the time, kept on bringing in his Solek Av-Matoran set. I was intrigued by the figure- it was nothing like I had ever seen before. And as such, I went home and asked my mother to buy me one. Every Christmas, my father would buy me older sets on Amazon (my mother rarely bought things online because she was afraid of identity theft) and he still does to this day. Recently, I started buying the Bionicle Graphic Novels, starting with "#6 The Underwater City" since I wanted to know more about my "origin." The only ones I don't own yet are numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5 (a few years back, my father bought me the first one). Now I must ask you, what was your first Bionicle set? And please, feel free to tell me your story.
  18. I wanted to make something similar, but I became paranoid that I'd be sued for copyright I'm grateful at least someone is doing it though. It looks great so far.
