These are AWESOME! I don’t want to think about how many of these I’d have to buy if they could fit on a minifig.

Hook up some power functions to this thing and your'e good to go. I actually tried power functions with three launchers, and it fires so fast it looks like one shotgun sot.

Here's my theory on these sets: The toa enter the ancient city, but skull grinder climbs out of the ground and starts attacking. Kopaka, Lewa, Pohatu and Onua stay to fight, while Tahu and Gali rush to ekimu's grave to awaken him. When they return with Ekimu, all that is left of the toa are four, glowing masks, and skull grinder now has an army. He has found the mask of creation deep within the jungles of okoto, and used it to create new forms for the other toa. Tahu and gali must defeat each villain, and return their mask to regain an ally, while Ekimu goes to face skull grinder at the mask forge. One by one, the toa are returned to normal, and the skull army is weakened. The toa then come to Ekimu's aid, and together defeat the skull grinder and return the mask of creation to its owner.

I really just hope Skull Grinder is taller than Tahu (the tallest set currently). I just can't stand having a toa look down to an enemy. At least one of these bad guys needs to be really big. Also, if skull grinder and mask maker are just the set names for Ekimu and MoUP makuta, that's awesome.

Put it on Lego Ideas. I know I would vote for it. With the return of the line, there needs to be some more bionicle sets on there.

GEAR FUNCTIONS! Entry Name: Zalavus Zalavus was an expierienced warrior in Okoto. Zalavus always wanted a mask of power from Ekimu, but Ekimu refused because he could not trust Zalavus' reckless ways. When Ekimu was put into a slumber, Zalavus stole a mask from Ekimu's workshop, and now uses it to wreak havoc upon the villagers and the toa. Features gear function slicing blades and tattered cape! This set and Tahu are by far my favourites. Tahu has been my favourite since 2001, but this new lewa almost made me switch favourites. Mostly because of the awesome colour scheme and the cool shoulder armor. But after seeing Tahus new mask (and buying a clear version), how his lava board becomes swords and how cool that set really is, I have to say Tahu is my favourite once more, but I believe I may like this lewa just as much as Tahu. Great review, I always enjoy seeing such high quality pictures of new sets.

Sorry, just a little OT correction, but Mata Nui didn't create Makuta, the GBs created both of them. Yeah Im a bit scared about Gali's voice as well. Personally, the most terrifying thing for me is the voice acting. I'm especially worried they'll give Pohatu an Australian accent to compliment his boomerangs...To be honest, I actually wouldn't mind an Australian accent.

I honestly am liking everything about this; the characters, the story, the sets (especially Tahu and his awesome new mask). I'm glad they're going back to a similar story and island, and I much prefer Mata Nui/Ekimu and Makuta being brothers instead of the former creating the latter. I like the new Ekimu and Makuta backstory and really enjoyed this video. I hope the videos that feature the toa are as good as this one, and I hope that the toa have good voices. The only thing I'm not sure whether I like or not is the new animation style, it doesn't really seem anything like MNOG and I feel it's significantly more like the mixels. I assume this style was chosen mostly based on budget. I'm really happy with what we've seen so far, and am probably most excited to see makuta in set form. I can't believe Bionicle is really back, this is exciting.

I asked Greg Farshtey if they were ever supposed to be the same character, and he has responded to me saying that, no they weren't.

I think that hydraxon was definitely originally going to be the water (or hydro) version of axonn. They are extremely similar both in name and mask. I believe that, like iruini and norik (nidhiki and dume), that hydraxon's identity was changed just to fit into the story better.

It doesn't look like the Avohkii, thought why would they have a new avohkii?Well I know it doesn't look anything like an avohkii, but if they were rebooting the franchise, they could do a mask of light storyline, releasing takanuva later this year.

What if this mask is the new avohkii?

YES! FINALLY, AFTER FOUR YEARS!

I personally believe (and hope) that it is BIONICLE. I believe that since they want as many fans as possible, it will be a big reveal. The members of BZPower are fans of LEGO, but I doubt many are fans of Jurassic Park. BIONICLE, on the other hand, almost everyone here is a fan of. That is what this site started as, right? A BIONICLE fan site. I don't know, but that is my assumption. I wish I could enter but there's no way that I would make it to New York.
