Ah. Okie-dokie. Have any recommendations for what masks are the easiest to paint?

I'm pretty sure 2001 kanohi are the easiest to paint due to their smooth surface and don't chip or damage easily, unlike 2004 kanohi or 2006 kanohi, where the rubbery plastic makes the paint unable to stick on.

I thought only 2005 and 2006 used rubber, not 2004.

  2. I'm sorry, it's Ben"Yamin"

    Happy Birthday, and don't forget...

    U8VZZ4l.png?1

    This year, I had pie.

    The pie is a truth.

Thanks to everyone who wishes me a happy birthday. I had a pretty dang good haul this year. Managed to pick up a few good things and snagged myself Ekimu and Kulta at Wal-Mart.

Now, if nobody minds, I must go thank the five bajillion people who wanted to wish me a happy birthday on Facebook.

    *sigh*

  4. So, does anyone know how to paint masks? I was thinking of trying my hand at doing it commercially, but I have no clue as to how I'll do it. I'm not striving for accuracy to LEGO colors, but rather I want to paint them in copper, silver and gold, as well as colors that LEGO didn't even try with, like metallic green.

I have trouble sticking with avatars. Right now I've got a certain someone who is both totally awesome and green.

I hate it when that happens.

I need an even creepier picture of Arnold, this smile is losing its shine.

You find that creepy? It's just weird in my eyes.

    Now, this is creepy! :D

    IMMA CLONE BABY!

Aw, opposite-of-heaven naw! Ain't nobody got time for dat!

If given the opportunity, I would throw that baby out with the bathwater.

  6. In canon of G1, Lewa was a Toa of Air, Pohatu was of Stone, and Onua was of Earth.

In G2, Lewa gets swapped out for Jungle, but Pohatu and Onua remain the same.

Am I the only one who thinks that Lewa should be a Toa of Plantlife, Onua a Toa of Stone, and Pohatu a Toa of Air? I think it's smarter than having the big, bulky guy handling dirt while the smaller, more agile guy having to deal with really large objects.

  7. This is very impressive. I love that gunmetal bit on top, like some sort of ornamental armor or something.

I also like how you managed to finagle a weird thinggummywat like a sort of plateskirt or something. Impressive.

    stop doing this every year

Or you could have some respect for the 3000 people who lost their lives. If remembering this tragedy offends you, then don't pay attention to it. Some of us wish to remember it, let us do so.

It could be he lost someone during 9/11 and doesn't like the memory being drudged up year after year, or a personal opinion regarding putting something this, for lack of a better term, harsh on a website devoted to children's toys and escapist fiction. While I don't agree with the latter (though I see why it'd be a problem, I feel children need to be exposed to reality so it doesn't hit them like a brick later on) the former is something people involved with 9/11 have to go through year after year. It can be hard. Personal loss is always terrible.

Or, perhaps, I'm talking out my keister and pikminjake just doesn't like 9/11. Who knows?

As for me... I was born not even a year prior. I can't remember a world before 9/11, the War on Terror, or anything of that sort. My dad was in the Air National Guard and the way he talks about terrorism and his personal viewpoints on the War on Terror, I don't think he would've been so vocal had 9/11 not happened. It really hits everyone hard, even people who would normally be completely untouched.

Well, it is certainly evident in the villain sets.

    2002

    -vak/rok

    2003

    -Rahk

    2004

    -akh

    2005

    -ak

CLONE SETS DO NOT APPLY :P

So the Piraka aren't clone sets?
Each Piraka is an individual, whereas a Bohrok is one of many thousands. Rahkshi also share that trait, though only six were released onto Mata Nui.
  10. I only just realized that Lewa looks like a Cyberman.

"WE ARE THE CYBERTOA. DELETE. DELETE."

As for my least favorite masks, I've got a list; the Nuva masks, the noble Mahiki and Komau, the Suletu and Nuparu and Hewkii's Inika masks, the Kakama Phantoka, and finally, the Kaukau Mistika and Pakari Mistika
