  1. Back in 2003 at a KB-Toys, found a Manas set.
  2. I think it would be interesting to see a even more movie-accurate Kraahkan.
  3. You mean like the Mask of Creation? Yeah, too bad they didn't include that in the set. It makes sense that he would be wearing the Protector mask he was buried in, since that was how he was when last seen. Canonically, it's the most common mask shape on the island, so if the Protectors were looking for a ceremonial mask to put on his face, it would probably be the shape of pretty much every other mask on the island. That said, he would probably look far more distinctive wearing his signature mask, and I can't wait to see some pictures of it on him. I like how you assume I missed the fact that it was already in the set on purpose. I KNOW it's in the set. I wanted him to have his OWN mask. You want sarcasm milk with your cookie? The whole point of the set is that he's fighting back for his own mask. Why would you also not want the protector mask in that slick color set, too?
  4. First sets were Turaga Whenua and Nokama in summer-ish of 2001, got something with the first comic along with them I think.
  5. I've been pondering getting one of the Barraki myself. Who's cool and manages to avoid the fragility issues Ehlek has? Leaning to Mantax and/or Takadox.
  6. Something I've pondered: it may take a bit more effort to get all the parts for a given set separately, but as far as I can tell it's potentially cheaper. Might this be a more viable option for "obtaining" older BIONICLE sets than buying whole ones secondhand?
  7. For my first MOC since my return to BIONICLE (and quite a while in general, really!), I've made this baddie. The elements all have masters to them, so why not the sinister spiders? Three forms: Toa-esque, spider-like, and one especially monstrous. Gallery includes the likes of tormenting Okoto's villagers, intimidating incompetent messengers, three basic views of each form, and all that!
  8. Speaking of the new gatling guns, does anyone feel like attaching two of the studs as rounds makes them harder to lose?
  9. I feel like Gali's one of the better composed 2015 Toa, honestly.
  10. Plotwise? I feel 2001 had an immediate grip on me, but I think 2015 is showing like it'll have promise as time goes on. 2001 had this nice mysticism to it, I feel, with some more focuses on environment and aesthetic I suppose. Terminology like Rahi and Kanohi added to this, of course. I don't mind 2015's simplification in this regard, however. Setwise, I already feel 2015 is the clear winner. I've had no experience with "CCBS" before I got my hands on the new ones, and I came out feeling really impressed. Besides the additional articulation, managing posability even with the gear function is rad. The Protectors and their cannons are rad, as well. And I honestly really like the LoSS, I get the vibe we'll be seeing more like him but bigger come summer.
  11. Nice one bro! Which set is your favorite? Of the Toa, I feel like Tahu has the most to him. Protector of Jungle is probably my favorite of that group. I ended up being pleasantly surprised by the LoSS too.
  12. http://vitiel.tumblr.com/post/106564524059/got-all-the-new-bonkles Acquired every set from this wave!!
  13. At the very least they were a good start. The Rahi (namely Muaka+Kane-Ra, Tarakava, and Nui-Jaga) were really good sets at least.
