  1. IC: Echo - Sunny Square After helping Rocka onto the stretcher and turning him over to the medical team, Echo moved a few steps away spent a few moments just calming down. Zib hadn't told him he was going into such a dangerous mission. Next time, he was going to ask beforehand. "Alright, let's get this over with." Echo opened his comms. "Drift, what's my next target?" "Rocka's not at the extraction point, buddy," responded the pilot. "He needed immediate medical care, he's being taken out separately." "Good to go, then. Head on over to these coordinates. This guy bit the bullet so you'll have to carry him." A set of coordinates showed up on the HUD with the name "Daxer Phyrus" flashing dully underneath. Echo headed off in the direction of the deceased Hero. OOC: The dropships we've been using are obviously the huge ones holding multiple Heroes (like the ones seen in some of the HF animated shorts, e.g. Invasion From Below). What would we call dropships like the one that came out as a set? It had weapon systems and only one Hero Pod to drop, so would it be an attack dropship or something like that?
  2. OOC: I know, he's just holding his hand out so that Rocka can grab it once Ezec lowers the shield.
  3. IC: Echo - Sunny Square As Splint finally backed away, Echo began to move slowly towards the brute standing over Rocka. In the distance, he could hear a dropship taking off and a medical team coming towards them. Clearly, Rocka was a high priority. Well then, he'd just turn the Alpha Hero over to the medics and get his next set of coordinates from his pilot. That was, of course, assuming he could get Rocka out without any conflict. The sounds about him were beginning to mute a little. Echo really hoped no one noticed. He'd only charged a sonic concussion shot fully once before and it had blown the test dummy right off its pedestal. If he had to use it on one of the beast creatures, it would probably only bowl them over backwards, but it would still buy him a few seconds. He reached out his hand towards the golden Hero.
  4. IC: Echo - Sunny Square He couldn't think. He couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. Everything was wrong, all wrong. He'd been sent in with simple extraction orders and everything was just falling apart. The broadcast from Zib was looping through his comms on repeat, a pulsing red "Code 23" had appeared in his HUD, and he had just received an unmistakable Hero death signal. Splint still hadn't moved, but doubtless he was getting the same information. Echo tried to blot it all out and focus on retrieving Rocka, but one thing kept coming back: "attack on Hero Factory". "Come on," he urged Splint again. OOC: Open for interaction
  5. IC: Echo -Sunny Square Echo nodded at Splint to comply. If the medic didn't back down or if the titan tried something, things could go south in a hurry. He began silently charging a concussion shot.
  6. IC: Echo - Sunny Square Echo, who had been walking slowly towards the group, stopped. The eyes of the colossus never left him, and to make matters worse, the second monster was beginning to stir. "I'm just here for Rocka," he gestured towards the fallen Hero. "I have orders to clear out the injured." He was beginning to feel less optimistic about his chances of getting Rocka out safely.
  7. OOC: Blast. Echo isn't built for that kind of combat. I'll see what he can do for Rocka, then. IC: Echo - Directly over the Sunny Square Echo had never been particularly fond of Hero pods. Even though he knew it was perfectly safe, he'd never enjoyed the experience of hurtling towards the ground at breakneck speed in nothing but a metal cylinder with a couple of thrusters and fins at the back. Moving past his discomfort, he ran a quick check of his landing site and found it full of people, Heroes or Villains he couldn't tell. He grimaced and switched his pod into landing mode. As much as he hated flying these things, he hated crashing them more. With a jarring thud, he was on the ground. He switched off the power and slid the hatch open to find himself faced with a rather tricky situation: A rather mangled golden Hero lay on the ground (a quick analysis revealed him to be Alpha Team's Rocka) between two enormous creatures and a couple other Heroes. Echo's orders were to move all injured personnel or captives to an extraction point and wait for the emergency evacuation ship to arrive. He just needed to get to Rocka...
  8. IC: Echo - Tranquis VII, low orbit Echo sat in the cargo bay, surrounded by the low, pulsing throb of the engines as the dropship descended into the upper atmosphere of the planet. "Why do we always get the boring jobs," groaned the pilot. "Extraction? Really?!" We finally get an assignment and we're running extraction?" Echo let him talk. "Hey, buddy, time for launch." Echo nodded and made his way to the Hero pod in the rear of the craft, enjoying the slight hiss as the hatch slid open. "Remember the orders: get in, find any injured heroes and captured villains, and get them to the evac point." Another silent nod. The hatch slid closed and the interior lights switched on. "Fire". OOC: Where did Katherine's squad get off to again?
  9. Alright, profile edited. I'll be heading in soon. =)
  10. Ah, sorry for not being more specific. Echo has a buzz-saw replacing his right forearm at the moment (as shown in the video). Also, he has no technopathy. Just good old-fashioned hacking skills.
  11. Two profiles for me: A backup Hero for my main: Name: Alex Drift Powers and Abilities: Drift is an ace pilot, built to have extremely good reflexes. He doesn't have much in the way of powers besides his piloting skills. Weapons: Drift carries a standard Hero Factory sidearm (as seen in the "Invasion From Below" sets, a pair of cuffs (no backup since he's just a driver), and a handful of impact grenades. Bio: Drift is fresh from sim-training and doesn't have much field experience, but put him behind the wheel of anything and he perform better than most veteran heroes. Drift is a typical hero: jovial and open but also aware of his responsibility. He can also be a real jerk sometimes... Appearance: And my main guy (someone beat me to a hacker =/ ): Name: Echo Powers and Abilities: Echo's main role is as a hacker/infiltration specialist and he always carries a few of his favorite flash-drives (loaded with viruses and back-door programs) with him everywhere he goes. Echo can not use technopathy; he is limited to keyboards and wires. He is equipped with echolocation radar which allows him to map out compounds and other areas very quickly, but he can only use it while focusing (so he can't move, attack, etc.) while scanning. He wears light armor and sound dampeners which classifies him as a stealth Hero, even though he isn't equipped with a cloaking device. This means he can't take too many hits in a fight. Weapons: Echo has a penchant for messy close-ranged melee weapons (chain-saws, serrated talons, etc.), often replacing entire arms. Echo has replaced his usual buzz-saw with a pair of extendable claws which can fold onto his forearms when not in use, keeping his hands free for computer work. He's also outfitted with short-ranged concussion blasters that make use of surrounding sound waves for ammo. Side gear includes a pair of cuffs, a limited medical kit, and a handful of flash drives loaded with viruses and back-door programs. Appearance: Echo is tall and slim with a mostly silver color scheme and lime highlights. His armor usually includes slightly-larger-than-average thigh plates, which can open out to reveal a small storage area. Personality: Echo is silent and professional in everything he does. He is a bit socially awkward, but performs surprisingly well when working with a squad. (Think Kopaka, only as a good team player.) Bio: Echo is a very useful team member to have owing to the fact that he's mostly memorized the entire Hero Factory database, or at least, the unrestricted parts of it. Unfortunately, he doesn't really talk much and keeps to himself, so his wisdom often goes unheard. During a recent fight, Echo has learned that his enhanced hearing can be distracting in combat. He has since developed a habit of turning down his audio-receptors when doing battle. Echo in action! https://youtu.be/8ZAOhrVBxH0
