IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Drift recoiled in shock. The brain's master? Here? This Shade character only seemed to be calling Zib about, though. Nex was the one guarding Mr. Makuro; he should be the first to know. Drift raced down the stairs and followed Nex into the other building where he was disposing of the bugs. "Hey Nex! We've got bad news! The creepo behind the brain attack is here. In Antropolis. That can only mean he wants a piece of Mr. Makuro or his invention. What are we gonna do?"

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Drift leaned closer, trying to make out the conversation. IC: Cobra Shard - DEATH FROM ABOVE! Shard had just opened the stairwell door when more brain slug creatures flew in and stuck to his face. He screamed and tried to cover his head with his hands, but some sort of lightning-sword thing punctured his elbow and fried his entire right arm. He sprayed frost everywhere, but it was no use: SHARD BECAME ONE WITH THE SWARM AS AN EVIL BRAIN ATTACHED TO HIS HEAD. /playSound.ominous_music.mp3

IC: Cobra Shard - Good as New Shard stepped out of the operating chamber and took a deep breath. Most of his systems were repaired, but he wouldn't be able to get a true fix until he got back to Hero Factory. And those were definitely footsteps on the roof. And a dropship. That could only mean one thing: More Heroes had come to help! Shard grinned and dashed off to meet some new friends. OOC: Shard is so dumb.

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Well, the license certainly checked out, but he still wasn't convinced this was as simple as it looked. It seemed like a pretty steep coincidence that someone would crash-land directly on top of the building Mr. Makuro was staying in exactly at the time when he was staying there. Drift tried to look like he didn't suspect anything, though. "Alright alright. Looks like you're clear Ms. Gwet." He walked back to the stairwell and ducked just inside so the untrustworthy pilot couldn't hear. He located Nex, but realized from his radar that the Alpha Hero was currently occupied. Blast. Who else could he call? Not the Recall. Definitely not him. Maybe that assassin guy? He radioed the silver Hero, "I've got a suspicious civilian up here who claims she crash-landed on the roof and set up a cloaking field while she did repairs. Seems fishy to me. Can you check to see if one 'Hayley Gwet" is in the database?Or maybe come up here and take a look?" IC: Cobra Shard - Antropolis Hospital Shard followed the doctor to an operating room and silently hoped they cold repair all the water damage to his circuitry... Were those footsteps he could hear on the roof?

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof He gestured behind him at the cloaking field. "People crash all the time, lady. The cloak makes this crash look awful suspicious, though. May I see your pilot's license?" IC: Cobra Shard - Antropolis Hospital Stumbling into the hospital, Shard glanced around for any free doctors. "Hey!" He called out to a group he saw sitting the corner. "I'm all beat up! One of you guys think you can help?" OOC: For the record, Dr. Lie is way too nice to be a villain.

OOC: Did Alex read the Tranquis VII mission briefing XD? OOC: Of course he did. How does that relate to Shard on this mission? IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Well this was odd. Someone was hiding a tiny busted ship on top of the hotel? "What are you doing up here, ma'am?" IC: Cobra Shard - Antropolis Shard examined the board until he found where to go and then limped off in the direction of the hospital.

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Nothing? Weird. With a deep breath and a last glance towards the stairwell, Drift stepped through the warped air to the other side... IC: Cobra Shard - Antropolis Shard stumbled through the streets, looking for some sign of unusual activity. Something had practically destroyed the market square by what he could see from two streets away. He almost went there just to see, but turned down a side alley instead. There had to be a hospital or something nearby. He just had to find it. OOC: Who's ready for some frozen brain-sicles? ... Actually, knowing this guy, he's going to end up with one on his head.

OOC: I like to use it every once in a while but I don't take it seriously. Stuff like someone drinking coffee while working. Does a robot need coffee? Of course not, but no one's going to beat you up over it. OOC: Ah yes, the Bionicle romance ban... I never said Hero Factory romance was unacceptable, just that I personally would never touch it. I have no problems with robots having feelings; I just have a few limits I stay within for my own characters and stories..

OOC: I know it technically is allowed, but like I said, I can't really wrap my head around the idea that that would even be a possibility for super commando robots. Just saying.

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Drift almost missed the shimmer. Almost. Being a pilot meant having to work with ships of all kinds and he was rather good at spotting cloak-fields by now. The only question was whether this field was hiding a Factory-owned ship or whether this was something else entirely. Drift gingerly poked at the distortion to get a feel for what was being hidden. OOC: As to Dina's question: Yes, romance has been hinted at in this universe before, but I never really thought that robomance worked very well.

IC: Cobra Shard - Antropolis Docks While he knew he should probably wait for a medical team, Shard had no plans to stick around. He'd been in that water twice today and just the sight of it made him shiver (and this is someone who's impervious to cold). Besides, waiting had never really been his style. With a nod and a rather painful-sounding crunch from his neck, he tried to hobble off back towards the city.

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel roof Drift came out onto the roof and saw that indeed there was no ship. OOC: Actually, on second thought... it kinda would make sense if there was a ship as an escape plan. But there's not, right?

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel Drift looked into the room and briefly admired the small heap of bugs on the floor. Somebody really wanted to know what was going on in here. There was just one thing he couldn't figure out about this situation though: Mr. Makuro's escort consisted of an Alpha Hero, The Recall, what appeared to be an assassin,and... himself. How did he fit in? Was their an escape ship he was supposed to pilot? Drift figured Mr. Makuro would be alright if he left his post for a few minutes, so he headed up to the roof to see if the Factory had provided him with a vehicle.

IC: Alex Drift - Tait's Hotel Drift was only mildly surprised to see a third Hero materialize in front of him when they reached the room. It made sense that Mr. Makuro would have more than just a pilot and one Alpha Team Hero as an escort. He made a note of the nasty-looking armblades and took up a position guarding the door as the other Heroes set to work thrashing the room.

IC: Cobra Shard - Not Frozen Anymore Shard staggered to his feet and leaned heavily against a wooden post. He needed to get to the Hotel near the center of the city, but he didn't know if he could make it that far. "Do you know where I can find a medic?" he asked the other Hero.
