Great job creating a streamlined, feminine design without any of the usual gags. What a great model!

Has anyone won something from a LEGO survey?
Hazmat Grumbles replied to ToaTImeLord's topic in LEGO Discussion
Never. I once did surveys for every set I purchased within the space of a year (about 40, that year) but still had no luck. I don't usually take the time to complete them anymore. -
Only playfully. Have you watched Journey To One yet?

The Journey to One: First Episodes Discussion

I'm not sure how I feel about JTO. Although they're aesthetically pleasing and do well at product placement (and advertising the play features) they're just lacking in quality. I think it is a mistake to fall into the trap of poor quality writing and story telling for a kids show. I loved Gen 1 so much growing up as a kid because I felt like the story was engaging and complex, and there was so much to explore and learn about. It's a shame there hasn't been quite as much effort in that department for the reboot. -
Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Simply beautiful.

I stick a watermelon up your nose. Take that.

Yes. Well...all the Bionicle ones at least. Do you like brown Bionicles?

What do you do with your older sets?
Hazmat Grumbles replied to Kid Icarus's topic in Bionicle Discussion
I've had that realization before- my collection is worth several thousand dollars, even in used condition. But for whatever reason (I love them <3) I could never sell them. I want my children to share my joy! -

Until last month, of my sets (2004-2008) were torn apart and in one massive plastic bucket. I've now sorted all of the pieces by color and recreated most of the larger vehicle sets. With my Gen 2 sets, they are also torn apart in a separate bucket. I can't decide whether or not I'll integrate them into my old collection. -
A bearded MOC- that's honestly a dream come true for me. Excellent execution with that!

The only frustration I have is when the silver blend doesn't match the rest of the model, ie. Onua and Tahu. Especially Tahu- the silver throws off the rest of the color scheme. I think it looks excellent on Gali and Lewa and Kopaka, however. All of the gold/trans masks are lovely.

Nope. I'm a Lego loyalist. Have you gone to or participated in any Lego conventions?
-
No. My first set was Pohatu Nuva. Did you buy any Hero Factory sets during the Bionicle hiatus?
-
No. I thought they were a radical disappointing farewell. Do you like the new Bionicles?
-
My heavens, this brings back fond memories. Where did you manage to get so many Tohunga pieces?

Yes- but they were unavailable by that point. Have you been a Bionicle fan since the beginning??
