    Sometimes when I am in disney world I bring along some bionicles to put in the hotel room window and I always hear kids getting excited when they walk by and stop to look at the Bionicles. I think with the right marketing it can still be successful. G2s issue was it had very little marketing. However Im not sure lego would be willing to go all in on the marketing like they did for G1.

    I know that the novelization of Legend Reborn came with a dvd or something that had the first couple minutes of the movie in it. Maybe its that, either way I am also intrigued.

    I am not really trying to have them be in one convoluted timeline, that just ruins everything. I just think having G2 be a parallel reality to G1 would be a nice nod, no big connection or anything being set in the future, just that they exist in the same multiverse.

    Does anyone have any idea of what was going on there? There are so many unanswered questions, like what was spectral mask or what the Kestora were even doing there. Any ideas or theories? Did Greg ever say anything expanding on it?

    I just think its interesting to see if the two continuities can be combined in a way that doesn't absolutely break canon. I honestly have no idea who would create it. Maybe some bored Makuta or Order of Mata Nui member who decided to play god? I also headcanon the Field of Shadows and the Shadow Realm as being the same place.

    It could be a pocket dimension. The City of Silver showed that pocket dimensions could contain civilizations.

    So it seems like G2 used more Mesoamerican inspiration. Thats interesting because I dont think G1 used any Mesoamerican designs to my knowledge. The Okotan writing system also resembles Mayan Glyphs a little too.
