I have heard many different theories involving G1 and G2 being connected ranging from G2 being a training simulator to Mask of Time shenanigans. However I have come up with a theory that I believe fits the canon of both Generations perfectly: They are just parallel universes in the same multiverse. Nothing too complicated and it doesnt rule out the possibility that G1 and G2 characters could hypothetically interact in a lore friendly way.

Your right it does have some similarities to Central and South American architecture. Good catch.

As many of us know a great number of bionicle names came from real world cultures but did G2 continue this trend? I know that Ekimu sound very similar to Enkidu from the Epic of Gilgamesh and Umaraks design has always made me think of the Welsh god Arawn. Has anyone else noticed any inspirations in G2?

Where were the strangest places you have encountered another Bionicle fan? For me the most unexpected (and only time I have encountered a Bionicle fan away from here and TTV) was on a furry forum.

Yeah, since hitting late high school and college I have been collecting less and less of the newer sets and themes and have focused more on getting an occasional set every now and then and have focused more on trying to find sets I wanted from when I was a kid but never got when they were in stores.

The Lego Star Wars Christmas games were fun. I also remember discovering the wayback machine and witnessing all the games and webpages for all the themes I loved as a kid but didnt have a computer at the time to witness their websites. And I did this all WITHOUT my parents permission lol.

This site was my first experience with a form of social media. I have great memories of the story contest at the end of G2 and the Fanfiction Exchange that was held, I still have the Ekimu I won for the Fanfic Exchange prominently displayed with the rest of my collection. The Steal the Mask and Kardas Dragon Appears topics were great memories as well. It is sad to come back here and see things are not as active as they once were.

I think it was more him being a lovecraftian entity beyond our understanding in the early years before canon was decided.

The Book of Boba Fett theme sounds like something that would fit a lone Toa like Lesovikk I also feel like Making of a Cyborg fits early Bionicles mysteriousness.

SO the Skull Army was formed from an earlier group called the Skull Raiders. BS01 says that they were a band of pirates that were defeated by Ekimu. BS01 also says that they spoke their own language and couldnt understand Okotan, so they were probably not related to the Okotans. Other than Kulta and Basher we do know of one other Skull Raider that the books introduced: Axato. It appears that Axato assumed command of the remaining Skull Raiders after their original defeat, causing Kulta to resort to resurrecting the corpses of his earlier army in 2015. I would highly recommend to keep it as mysterious as possible and to not really explain anything too much. If they are unfamiliar with Bionicle this could work really good, especially if you have the one shot set inside the MU and reveal the MUs true nature at the end.

I do agree that the stories from those contests should finally be canonized. At this point they're basically apocrypha. However at this point I feel like they are the only new story additions that should be added unless Greg starts a new story contest.

Maybe that Ideas contest set thing will be Bionicle. I expect Faber will keep doing whatever it is hes doing. Maybe some easter eggs in system sets like other people have been saying.

Probably Legends of Chima. After that and G2 ended I felt like none of the new themes really appealed to me with their smartphone app gimmicks.
