  1. OOC: Yeah, I understand, I sent a PM to Umbra for confirmation. I'll say if he responds, or he'll post.Jamie is waiting for timeskip.

IC: "Ah this, for me?" Richard said gladly accepting the VS. Recorder from the dancing man.

He recognized the device as something he had seen from time to time, they cost money so Richard had never bought one before. He left the man then, still dancing trying to alert the world about the tournament. Richard hummed the music that the heard while conducting the beat with his hand.

"So what do you think now, shall we go get checked in at the Pokemon Center?"

    Hades brightened up at this.

FOOD! He said in Pokemon-tounge raising his hand in a glad gesture.

"I'll take that as a yes," Richard said.

  2. IC: "I really hope that doesn't happen, Pryce was on our side right? I do have two Pokemon that have a type advantage over Ice and one that is Ice so we have that. I really, really hope that it doesn't come to that."

OOC: That's all I needed to say, I am ready for time skip.

IC: The mission having lasted several days meant that the destruction of Castelia City was news to him, but it paled in comparison to the report that so many legendaries had failed to defeat the Darkrai.

He was silent for a moment before saying, "Well our mission was largely a success, but we had to fight a Porygon-Z that had been powered up by their experiments. It managed to take down Mewtwo and took the combined efforts of myself, Executive Aaron and Agent Vero to take it down. In short it does indeed have the power of a Legendary. However I am pleased to report that upon defeating it we were able to capture it and recover its pokeball. I am less pleased to report that the agents of Energon managed to get away."

OOC: Is this alright with you Umbra? I kind of went out on a limb there and thought this was the ending I kind of imagined for our fight. If you disagree I can retcon/revise this.

  3. IC: A man and a Pokémon stepped off a bridge which marked the entrance into Driftveil city. The man was carrying a violin case with his left hand while the Pokémon walked beside him on his right. The man was a trainer named Richard and the Pokémon was a Sableye named Hades.

“Hades go find us a good street corner that we can perform on.”

    Right… the Sableye thought.

He tended to be the one of the two that would find a street corner or someplace that Richard would play the violin for tips. It was income, and he knew they needed as much of that as they could get. The Sableye scurried around to find the best place to start street performing. He passed by others who also practiced this trade and knew to keep moving. Competition was not wanted.

He kept wandering around until he found a marketplace. With some luck he found not one street performer in sight. He picked a corner at an intersection, many people passed by, and while it was noisy he knew Richard could play loud enough to be heard. He ran back towards Richard and hoped to tell him of this before somebody took advantage of their absence and took the spot for themselves. The smile on his face gradually turned into a frown as he saw Richard holding a flyer.

“What do you think Hades; can we afford a break from street performing to participate in this tournament?” he said showing Hades the flyer.

Hades merely sighed; he knew that they were better off trying to make money to afford food, but he knew that Richard was going to enter the tournament regardless of his objections. Richard generally understood the Sableye pretty well, but he had a strange habit of not understanding him if he tried to steer him away from something he wanted to do. Sometimes he wished that Richard never caught him.

No I don’t, he thought catching himself on this.

While Richard had his quirks and not a lot of money to his name, he was a person who owned some Pokémon, and wandered around a region. That qualifies Richard to be a Pokémon trainer on a journey, which meant Hades had access to free food and a roof over his head via Pokémon Centers. Plus Richard and the other two weren’t the worst company he could find; Richard he did admit he enjoyed the company of though he felt Dionysus was an oaf, and that Erebus was either always hyperactive or a potato depending on what kind of day it was.

“Don’t worry,” Richard said putting the Sableye on his shoulder, “We’ll go to the Pokemon Center where you can get well rested after a long day of walking so you’ll be in top condition for tomorrow.”

I wasn’t worried about that, he thought.

No he was more worried about the fact that not only were they not going to try and make money tomorrow but that instead he was going to get beaten up.

“Alright, let’s go see where we can get signed up. You know things are looking up.”

    Hades hung his head.

After a good walk they saw dancing to strange music.

"Is he a street performer?" Richard asked, genuinely impressed, "I'd probably give him some money, if we had any, just for the originality."

Hades agreed with a nod, that he would have too, but then pointed to his hands.

Noticing his gesture he looked at the man's hands and said, "Why I think you're right, those are flyers for the tournament. Excuse me," he said walking over to the strange dancing man, "Do you where one can sign up for this tournament," showing him the flyer.

  4. IC: "The words dimension void make me think this will not be as simple as it sounds," Jamie said.

"Ilex forest," she muttered to herself wondering where she had that name before.

She remembered that James had spoke to her of it as where Celebi potentially was and that he would probably try and recruit it at somepoint. Which probably meant that it was working for Team Liberty now.

IC: James entered the office of the Liberty Leader who was looking at a document that seemed to upset him.

"I am here to deliver a report about a mission concerning Team Energon and the result of their research into using the power of legendaries in their Porygon," he said. "I would also like to ask about our current plans to counter the Darkrai threat."

OOC: I decided to go through with the bard.

    Username: Minun4

    Name: Richard Apollo

    Faction: None

    Hometown: Castelia City

    Age: 19

Appearance: Richard stands about 5' 8" tall and has a thin build due to his need to conserve food. He has brown eyes and brown straight hair, and wears jeans, and generally a cheap button down brown shirt.

Personality: Richard fits the archetype of the spoony bard very well. He is generally jovial and care free to those he meets. He generally figures that he always found a way to keep him and his Pokemon fed, and that he can solve any given problem. He isn’t quick to a fight, but loves a competition and enjoys Pokemon battles. He is proficient with a violin and makes a living as a street performer. Apollo is not his real last name, but a name he took so that people could identify him.

Background: Richard’s parents were too poor to raise a child so they abandoned Richard on the steps of an orphanage. The orphanage he was raised wasn’t much better off, but he was able to live with food in his stomach. Eventually when Richard was ten the orphanage was shut down due to the inability to pay bills anymore. Richard being turned out on the street turned to shoplifting to survive. One day when he was about to shoplifting when a wild Sableye was caught trying to do so as well. The shopkeeper was enraged by this, but was calmed when Richard apologized pretending to be the Sableye’s trainer. One stolen Pokeball later the Sableye was his. After a few weeks of the two living a meager existance, they came upon a store where a violin caught his eye, and after a month of saving he bought the violin and became a street performer. With a way to afford food, clothing and some basic equipment, Richard and Hades wandered the Unova Region where he caught both Dionysus and Erebus.

He doesn't have any real singing pokemon yet, but I don't know what sort of one I'd want to give him, so I'll probably have him catch one later.

  5. IC: "Oh dear," Jamie muttered to herself as she hurried to reach her two compatriots.

She had hoped to have not been the last one out, but she had to take care of things first. She had wanted to prepare for anything that could happen and thus made sure she was well stocked and that her pokemon were at full health.

"I'm sorry for being late," Jamie said as she approached the two Rockets.

IC: (Flashback James) "Shoot," James said quietly, Recover was not something that had intended.

What do you think we should do now, I could try pressure on him with Fire attacks, but if he just heals we can't beat it. You don't have any Pokemon that know Heal Block I suppose?

At that moment Gawain arrived at the surface with Garchomp on his shoulder.

    IC: (Present James)

James mulled over the news that he had seen, Lilycove being attacked by the Darkrai, and being covered in shadows.

You said you had defense so why did you let Lilycove be covered in shadows Pierce? James thought in his head.

He being followed by Guinevere walked with a report in hand detailing the details of the last mission. He had wished to speak to Goldhawk about the Darkrai. The two were silent the whole walk over while James mulled over stuff in his own mind. Stepping in front of Goldhawk's office, he knocked and waited for a reply.

  6. OOC: Pierce is fine, but Lilycove is not? Good to know.

I wasn't thinking of having Jamie switch, I was just tossing out ideas for a new character I plan on (or two, no real plans yet.)

    And yes hint taken.

IC: "As long as you can fight at all I think they would have no reason to make you sit out missions. If we had more healers in the field, casualties would be much lower, wouldn't they not?"

"Listen I have to start preparing to leave, so I have to go now, is that alright?"

  7. IC: "Um, silly reasons?" Jamie asked wondering if that was the right thing to do.

OOC: Short post for now, just wondering are we allowed to play as a Rocket Seperatist and are there any spoony bards in this RPG yet?

  8. OOC: That whisltle is my cue isn't it.

IC: "Yeah I guess I'll see you then," she said to the departing Ethan.

Turning towards Lucia she said "Um, about five years now," she said.

She did not mention that those five years encompassed her entire life.

OOC: Waiting for Umbra to make flashback

OOC: By the way it seems that Lilycove has been attacked by the Darkrai, how's Pierce doing?

  9. IC: As soon as James saw Jayron nod, he pulled out Percival's pokeball and called the Litwick forth.

"I need you to charge a Hex sneak close to that Porygon-Z and when you get the chance fire.

"The Litwick nodded is it began to charge up a Hex... and changed into Lampent.

James was silent, but instead pulled out the Dusk Stone he had received from Flannery and tossed it to the Lampent.

    Then Lampent was Chandelure.

    OOC:

    Species: Chandelure

    Nickname: Percival

    Trainer: James Arthur

Appearance: His flame glows a more greenish color than most Chandelures. He is also somewhat smaller than the average.

Personality: Percival is a modest pokemon. He doesn't take credit for victories, and is never prideful, albiet he has reason to.

    Ability: Flash Fire

Specialty: Percival excells in special attacks. His Fire attacks are slightly weaker than the average Chandelure, but his Ghost attacks are stronger, skilled in disappearing.

Known Moves: Overheat, Smog, Fire Spin, Shadow Ball, Flame Burst, Hex

Learned Overheat and Shadow Ball, forgot Ember and Night Shade.

IC: "Um same orders," James said a little surprised but glad he saw this evolution unlike some others. "And Guinevere can you set up a link between me and Percival?"

She nodded as she established a telepathic connection between herself, James and Percival.

The ghost gave a faint glow of power before disappearing from eyesight. The ghost floated through the air seemingly undetected by anyone else.

James watched as the Porygon-Z blasted the Garchomp from the sky.

    Percival.

    Yes? a ghastly voice responded.

If you are in position attack with Hex now.

The Chandelure appeared on the deck of the ship in front of the Porygon-Z, glowed with power and blasted the Hex at it.

Fully evolved Ghost; check. Same Type Attack Bonus; check. Super-effective; check. Hex bonus due to burn; check. Let us see how that did.

A bit before, Gawain upon seeing the Garchomp fall in the water, dove in after him not originally seeing a fellow Swampert who was currently fending off Sharpedo, which he assumed that belong to Energon. He decided he would help the Swampert in a moment, first things first, get the Garchomp, Gawain decided.

Using Muddy Water to propel himself he caught up to the Garchomp, and put him over his shoulder and began propelling himself back to the surface.

  10. OOC: No I didn't really think like that, but I thought that the commander would be very tough (or rather the Porygon-Z) hence James' tired attitude after the battle. This was more or less part (leaning to more) of your arc so I'll let this battle go the way you think it should, but I wanted to make sure that since James is there, that he gets to be a part of the action. If you think I should control the commander I will, though since I am controlling James as well, one could argue then that I would be controlling both sides.

No IC yet, I plan to make one later.

  11. OOC: All I ask is that when he loses and learns that solipsism is not true, that me makes a big lol-worthy scene.

    IC: (Flashback)

Did it just burn itself? Not good for him good for us.

Guinevere, at which the Gardevoir turned around, please relay this to Jayron and Cyan.

After a mental link had been established James said, if you can give me an opprotunity I can have Percival use Hex on that Porygon-Z, his current typing, Percival's typing, and that burn should a large amount of damage to that Porygon-Z

OOC: Plus it gives me an excuse for the last battle that Percival needs to evolve.

  12. OOC: I just read Jackson's profile and I already can't wait for his comeuppance.

IC: Pelleas and Lucan shook as their wounds and their fatigue disappeared. Jamie was a bit suprised at how fast they healed.

I need a Pokemon that can do that.

IC: James finally having gotten back from the mission of which the rest of the details of will be said later. The last mission took a good deal out of him and being able to return to his office seemed like a luxury he would not have time for. Having walked there with Guinevere following him, he simply sat in his chair and took a deep breath.

"So we are going to have to face more of that then," he said really to no one in particular though the Gardevoir was the only other one there.

    So what next?

"Indeed what next," James said as he contemplated his next move. "We are going to leave Team Energon to Executive Jayron and Cyan for now. As for us, while I think it would be a bad idea to step foot in Lilycove, I can't deny I want to see how Pierce deals with them. So I will keep an ear to the ground," he said pulling out his laptop.

As he was about to put the laptop on his desk he noticed an envelope were he was going to place the laptop. He picked up the envelope and after setting the laptop he opened the envelope up. Inside the envelope were two discs, one light blue, the other red.

"The TM's for Ice Beam and Flamethrower?" James said upon looking at them closer.

James wondered who had sent the TM's for a minute before heading over to Guinevere."You may need this," handing her the Ice Beam.

"I do not like having to make you fight but it is definitely inevitable at times.

If I did not fight, I would not have evolved would I? she said with a smile.

"Indeed you would not," he said returning the smile before sending out Galahad.

"Galahad you're main attack has thus far been limited to Aura Sphere," he said holding up Flamethrower, "No more."

James placed the TM on Galahad's head as the Togekiss feeling himself burn with power.

"Now you may retreat Sir Galahad," he said before putting the Togekiss back in his pokeball.

  13. IC: "Nice to meet you Lucia," she said extending an arm with the intention of it being shook.

"My name is Jamie. And to answer your question, yes I do have a couple of Pokemon that do need healing from this last battle," she said and sent out the tired Pelleas and Lucan with her other hand.

OOC: By the way I intend to use my still uncashed reward from May to give James the TM's Ice Beam and Flamethrower.

Will make a James post later today.

  14. OOC: Well I've decided to try and continue on with James' life and post the ending of the battle I have been stuck in later via flashback at a set dates or when Umbra comes back, if he does. Of course now the problem remains that since James has been gone for so long where can I stick him back in.

IC: Paralysis proved to be a real pain as Pelleas couldn't pull himself together quick enough to get away from the putrid acid attack. The attack stung heavily due to STAB and typing and all that jazz but the Heracross held on.

Paralysis won't go away if I give Pelleas a rest but the Gastro Acid might...

"Retreat Pelleas," she said recalling the Heracross. "Come forth, Tristan" sending back out the Metagross.

    Are my services required?

    Yes Zen Headbutt that Weepinbell.

    Of course.

With the telepathic orders being given he giving off a Psychic Aura charged at the Weepinbell.

  15. IC: The acid being released while Pelleas was still slamming into Suya with Aerial Ace, he had pretty much no chance at dodging. While he was able to deliver the fully powered attack into the plant he soon found his power draining from himself and his limbs being incredibly hard to move as he tried to back off, his limbs locked-up completely.

  16. OOC: Blade: If you can figure out what stereotype Ethan and Jamie fill in that four-man-band, then I'll consider it. =PNara: In Unova:-Orange--TR-Zach--TL-Sonja--TL-Ryan--TL-Alex--TL-Kyle--TL-Zac--TL, I think-Evan--TP-Ellen--N/A, but with the TL group and Orange-Summer--TP-Blade's "Black"--TE-Regis--N/A-Seth--TL-Hex--TLIn Johto:-Dack--TR-Ben--TR-Karen--TRSpeaking of Hex, wasn't the group supposed to meet up with him, guys? Whatever happened to that?
OOC: I don't believe he's approached us yet. That's partly why we're still on Route 16.(No, it has nothing to do with me accidentally slowing things down, what are you talking about? >> << >>)Also, I'll work on thinking that up; I just need to know their Pokemon and attacks. They might be two warriors, two mages of some sorts(Red or Black mages, I'm not sure which), or one of each type. I can't be certain until I read their attacks. =) Though, Jamie might be a Mage, since she uses Special Attack-based Pokemon, to my recollection.Zacax: There's more to things than meets the eye. ;)
OOC: Mainly two Physical attackers with one special attacker. I could get one more special attacker plus two healers though to go Red Mage, (Jamie how I need to complete your pokemon team)Also Parugi since I'm back I do need a reply to my attack. No IC for right now due to a reply being needed and Umbra's absence.
  17. OOC: FYI I will have limited access to the internet for the next 10 or so days, will be back by the Fourth of July.

IC: The Stun Spore was like sweet nectar to the Heracross. He took a long deep breath of it in. Then he grinned as he beamed with power. He then struck a pose... which was actually him trying to attack but conveniently was paralyzed as it looked like it was a pose.

So in exchange for a paralysis, we get a huge attack boost... Jamie thought as Pelleas fell over in the pose.

"Pelleas" she said as he got back up, "Use Aerial Ace!"

Wings flapping, his arm became engulfed in light as Pelleas launched himself at his opponet.

  18. IC: Jamie saw how Ethan was getting bored and was absolutely insulted. So she was glad when the Heracross did something that Ceris probably didn't expect, he didn't dodge or block in any given way. Both hit landed on Pelleas and with their Swords Dance enhancement did a considerable amount of damage on him.

Pelleas only smiled as he saw an opportunity arise.

    "Now Pelleas, Counter." Jamie said.

The Heracross launched a punch, with the force of the Double Hit plus the Swords Dance multiplied by two which when taken altogether was a pretty nice attack, at the Scizor.

  19. IC: "..." was the thought that ran through both Jamie and Tristan's minds when Ethan interrupted the attack using his retreat.

Okay I can't defeat Ceris with Tristan the way things are now. Time for a switch.

"Retreat Tristan, you need a rest," she said retreating the Metagross. "Come forth, Sir Pelleas," she said as the Heracross appeared.

"Pelleas, that Scizor has powered himself up with Swords Dance be careful."

Pelleas put up his fists ready to Endure whatever came his way.

  20. OOC: Yeah sorry about the slowness of the battle, I'll try to post more to quicken it up.

IC: Ceris was quick as he laid two blows on Tristan's back or rather head, however just before they connected both Jamie and Tristan had a thought. Through telepathy this thought was agreed upon. Tristan made no move to get out of the way but instead had his head turn a bright blue. As Ceris connected his second blow he found himself unable to pull away. Tristan then grabbed Ceris and flipped over slamming them on the ground: Ceris fist, Zen Headbutt second, and Tristan last.

IC: Gawain popped out of the water and on to the boat... the Energon boat. With a trail of Muddy Water behind him. Which hit the Porygon-Z. That didn't damage it much, but did serve to enrage it.

"Oh dear," James said watching this happen.

  21. IC: As Tristan advanced the glow on his leg eventually became a steady and bright brownish aura. His other front leg began to glow before his hind legs launched him forward. Going at top speed Tristan launched a flurry of Bullet Punches at Ceris. The Scizor didn't seem to exert himself too much in evading the majority of these blows which what he didn't dodge he blocked.

Watching the Scizor closely Jamie said "Now Tristan."

Upon hearing this command, using his Bullet Punches as a cover, the Hammar Arm of his other leg was launched straight into Ceris chest.

OOC: *Makes random generic complaint possibly due to the author's wondering about the slow nature of the Energon battle due to absence of principle player.

  22. OOC: By the way if I used my still yet unused 2-year reward on TM's how many could I get?

IC: Tristan stood resolutely in place as Jamie looked towards their opponets.

We will not make the same mistakes as last time.

Jamie and Tristan thought almost simultaneously their thoughts in increased sync due to telepathy.

Tristan began walking rather slowly towards Ceris with one of his legs starting to glow with power during this steady march.
