  1. OOC: I found this far more hilarious than I think I should have... maybe because I read in a tone of utter desperation, that she'd simply die without having tea. :PIC: Trailing behind Sluice while she took the lead was something Silver had plenty of experiance in.... it had pretty been all he'd known since he met her (as shameful as that was). The psychic did however find himself getting slightly agitated this "Fellwyd" alien fellow had basically taken up the same position as well... he was a handful already, she didn't need any extra stress from this guy, he rationalised. He found their adventuring duo much more pleasant (and more likely to result in affections flying around) as a duo, not a trio. And he sure didn't need any additional competition now that he looked like this."Unauthorised superbeing detected"Pfft, he doesn't even show up as part of the League, weirdo..."That's - it's Silver. He's changed a little bit but he's still with the League. I'm Sluice; I can vouch for him."Oooh.... Silver's self-confidence took a nosedive when it became apparent the security system had rejected him instead of the new guy. True, he was pretty sure he'd lost his actual League ID sometime during the Invasion debacle, but he took as a sign Fellwyd was better than him... something he really didn't approve of. Now trailing a little behind when they got moving again, the psychic took in the League HQ for a second time... though it felt like this was all new again. All these apparently important League members bustling around, some he vaguely recognised as meeting before, while others were totally new. Though his outfit had pretty much stayed the same, he'd have been flabberghasted if any of them actually knew who he was... it's not like he was important.... well, he did save the whole planet, but that's just what heroes are meant to do, right?I wonder how many people even know I took down the Mothership... I don't remember ever being mentioned of the news, was I just lumped in with everyone else? Except they all got away unharmed, and I didn't... it was understandable that given his current condition a little recognition for his efforts wouldn't go amiss. A statue would've been nice, sure, or maybe a medal? Heck he'd settle for a metaphorical key to the Earth that had little market value... Soon Sluice was dissappearing inside another doorway: this was it!Wait, no it wasn't. Ok, he admitted he'd set his hopes far, faaaar too high (angel-outfit massage, better keep dreaming), and Fellwyd was in the room too so... yeah what he'd hoped for would've been incredibly awkward anyway. But well, this was still good! He hadn't watched any real TV since he'd last been in Photon's flat, which felt like years ago, so that was a plus. It could've been a lot worse, just a metal table with that one dangly light that flickers over it, and some shifty-looking government agent sitting at the far end..."Drink?""Huh? Oh, uh.... t-tea would be nice..." he almost totally missed her question, losing himself in his own thoughts again, but he quickly relised he'd probably made an error there. Why'd I say tea, I should've said I don't need anything! he cursed himself, staring down at his triple-digited hand: it was not a hand that could hold a delicate disposable cup easily. It couldn't grip a lot of things he'd taken for granted now.... cutlerly for one. While Sluice busiest herself with the dispenser, Silver took the oppotunity to study her new supersuit (well, the back half anyway): it was quite different to her old one, seemingly more colourful while the helmet was.... well it was no "wavy mask" that she used to wear. He had really gotten attached to that mask actually...But no matter how much your outfit changes, you always manage to look the same as ever... he mused, noting how this suit also accented her figure quite nicely... maybe a little too nicely, for he quickly relised he was starting to spend too long staring inappropiately, paniced, and rapidly looked in another direction. Well, he had missed the only woman in his life for an entire month...
  2. OOC: I assumed that'd be what you were generally going for... but any excuse for Silver to exercise his imagination works for me :3 Silver's glasses (smashed and pretty broken), as well as a torn off section of his cloak were actually left behind after Technax stabbed and abducted him, so if those were recovered they could always have been placed in the Hall.Sounds like a good idea, though it'd nessecitate editing the Wiki which claims it's within the mansion itself. That's just my opinion however, Silver might actually be the first actual PC to even temporarily have a spot there: we're just so good at keeping heroes alive that it hardly even sees use!IC: "Ah, yes the translator. His replacement is only partially complete, I suppose we could the earpeice method in the meantime... I just presumed he'd prefer a new translator similar in design to his old one..." Esp provided Sluice with an earpeice to give to Fellwyd, assuming Fellwyd did indeed having some kind of ear-analogues on his body. She would then attempt to translate everything said in English to Welsh as real-time as she could manage, which would be nearly instanteous except in the instance where multiple people were speaking at once.Silver meanwhile was glancing at his surrondings, bewildered: he had been here before, right? Then why didn't anything look the same. Taking a few steps along the grass, he soon figured out why: there hadn't been much in the way of grass last time as it had been covered in snow! The psychic had fond memories of his first trip here... mostly since it had been his first time seeing real snow to begin with and he'd spent a lot of that time throwing at Sluice.... if only were still snowy now he have a lot more fun. Instead he just pulled his cloak a little tighter around himself, unsure of whether to keep his hood on or not... either way his visage was still unpleasant.
  3. IC: "<I understand. Just be aware that Silver's power will be immense, and your personal attempts to subdue him with no clear powers of your own have low chances of success.... he already dislikes you for filling his role of sorts: do not rely on him to show mercy when out of his mind>" Esp was factually blunt that if Silver did get out of hand, Fellwyd's efforts to subdue him may result in a terrible beating or outright elimination. Such an event would also turn the entirety of the League against Silver, so it would probably already be at a near-worst case scenario regardless. "<We're approaching the League HQ now>""Ah....." Silver didn't seem entirely sure of what Sluice was suggesting. He understood the words fine, but seemed to only interpret them as:"Why don't the two of us find a nice, private place where I can give you a massage and we can have an intimate discussion?"Fortunatly he was also still sane enough to know that was totally wrong, but he still couldn't fathom what a "comfort room" was. And it sure wasn't going to actually be a overly fluffy room where Sarah would coddle over him while wearing a white dress complete with angelic wings and a halo hovering over her head... Silver quickly snapped back to reality when he relised he'd been quiet for a bit too long, and his tail had started swishing around behind him in a manner that looked suspiciously like wagging."Uh, sure, yes! We can talk... I guess it's not good news, but hey! Not cancer! That's good, I'm not going to be in hospital... I've already taken so much from you and Photon too, I can't possible add some massive medical bills by... well.... dying.""We're about to arrive the League HQ. Are you... ok?""I'm just.... great, just super. I can probably.... handle myself now" Silver tried to support the entirety of his weight now, starting to succeed now that his tail wasn't so numb anymore and it stuck out behind him: acting as a kind of counterbalance to his now awkward bodily dimensions. While he appreciated Sluice's help immensly, he didn't want to seem like he couldn't even handle walking alone. He already had so much more to prove to begin with...OOC: Hey, I have a question: Was Silver just deemed missing, or killed on the Mothership? If the latter, does that mean he got a spot in the Hall of Fallen Heroes? It's not often you can visit somewhere that honours your own passing....... just try and ignore the fact Silver visited his own grave far earlier in the RPG Kumata, if you're confused why Silver took "comfort room" like that in his head, it's due to the fact as soon as I read it I thought about some kind of spa/"gentlemans club" where female attendants coddle patrons so....... fantasing helps keep Silver sane, don't judge! xD
  4. OOC: Fellwyd: "Not sure if sub-standard intellgience, or just stubbornly ignorant of extinction probability" IC: Esp's grimaced, her hologram colouring flicking from green from to red in the process."<Don't think I'm not aware of the viability of saving this species! I have options, but none are as viable without Silver alive! You think any of these.... humans really care about Crystaxian culture? Without him all that's left is the remanents of a dead race, the last member of the royal family gone and my ultimate objective to safegaurd him an utter failure. Do not think I won't risk a few humans to ensure the Crytaxian species has any kind of future!>" she responded with an uncharacteristic show of aggression before staring back down at the ground, her colour shifting back to a familiar green."<I've already failed too many times as it is.... because of my failure both his parents are gone. I promised her I'd protect him no matter what. I can't fail her again...>"Elsewhere in the craft, Silver grimaced slightly as Sluice completely skirted around the quesiton he asked of her. It must be pretty bad then, as Abyss said... but Abyss isn't the Sluice I knew."Well... that's better news that I've had in a while then! Usually everyone had no idea how to even begin a treatment... but am I even going to last that long? I'm going to have to go through all this chemotheraphy and stuff...." Silver sighed, trying to support more of his own weight before noticing Sluice looking quite confused. "All that radiation DID give me like, every form of cancer on the planet, right? That's why I didn't come back... just to lay in some hospitial bed for... however long I last. Especially not looking like this" the psychic seemed to be under the impression that his mutation also carried with it a fatal amount of cancer, something Esp had not mentioned in the slightest.... it seemed unlikely that she couldn't detect such things, but rather that Silver had no way to know and just assumed one of the worst things that he could.
  5. IC: "<That's a risk I'm willing to take: if Silver dies then I have not only failed my mandate to protect him but also doomed the Crystaxian species to complete extinction... allowing that is not a decision I will take lightly>" Esp was unapologetic about the risk to civils not being her highest concern, but in her view extinction of a species was not a just price to ensure the general safety of the global populace... especially on a planet where supervillians tried to take over the world on pratically a weekly basis."Ugh..... better, I guess? I'm not in a horrible amount of pain anymore.... d-did you shrink or did I get taller than I thought?" Silver was grateful for her assistance but at the same time didn't want to use her a crutch either, trying to use his tail to support himself instead. His question was based on the fact he and Sluice had formely been about the same height... Silver perhaps even a hair shorter, but now he was pratically looking down at her instead and it was a pretty odd change of perspective. The psychic glanced at her before quickly looking away, aware that it probably looked unintentionally creepy."P-Please don't lie... how bad is it? I wasn't exactly Pierce Brosnan before, but.... it's pretty bad, right?" OOC: Shockingly for a guy who wears an obscuring cloak, Silver actually does care about his appearance
  6. IC: "<Only as a last resort. While we, that is, the League possesses the mean to disable his powers and keep him contained, doing so would likely cause his mind to degrade even more rapidly. For as long as I've known him he's been acting the hero, and was ultimately responsible for the defeat of an alien invasion that threatened to destroy the Earth... after going through all that just to be imprisoned, even for everyone else's protection, would be a huge blow to both his psyche and emotional well-being. But if he threatens to cause untold damage, we may not have another choice...>" Esp explained, well aware throwing Silver into a cell would only harm the psychic further while keeping everyone else safe, and it was not a choice. Noting Sluice's words from elsewhere she complied, the gel-like substance Silver was suspensed in starting to drain away. He didn't seem to calm down regardless, his view and hearing highly distorted from the inside the tube, at least until it all drained away and the tube began to open, the breath-mask retracting."T-Trying to kill me or what, sticking me in there?!?" Silver hissed at Esp, moving to step out of the tube and almost collasping immediatly when his body didn't react how he expected it too: he didn't have feeling in most of his body now that he thought about it."You may have a feeling of numbness briefly, that is perfectly normal"
  7. IC: "He should be regaining conciousness soon, if you wish to see him right away. His minor, phsyical wounds have been healed... but he may be less than pleased with the fact I sort of... surprise-tranquilzered him. Not that he would've gotten into the tube willingly..." Esp gestured to a doorway that slid open down the hall, which contained Silver's gel-filled containment tube (for lack of a better description). Within Silver was just starting to awaken, admittedly with poor timing as he was just relising he was actually "underwater"... and for someone with a drowning phobia, it was not the best place to wake up to. Immediatly the psychic began to panic, pressing his mishapen hands against the "glass" desperately and for the moment completely forgetting he had the ability to blast his way out... not that he'd forget long if he got desperate enough.
  8. IC: "........ I cannot say, for both telling him and witholding the information poses risks. Telling him could cause him to slip into depression that he has suffered so much just to die.... but keeping it from him could upset him greatly were he ever to find out...." for once Esp seemed like she didn't have a proper answer and was still trying to draw a conclusion. "I do not believe it my place to make such a decision... since you know him signifigantly better than I, the choice should be up to you. You know how he might react either way..." "<Fellwyd, I apologise for the delay. To simplfy the matter for you: Silver's mutation has caused his powers to increase massively from their previous level, at the cost of his appearance. As well, his mental health will constantly degrade until he may eventually.... go insane, basically. We need to try and cure him so that doesn't happen as he is important to us>" Esp chose to explain to Fellwyd as well, albiet very simplified due to the fact she'd used a lot of stuff specific to Sluice previously, and using those would only confuse the alien even more.
  9. IC: "At this time.... unknown. On Crystax a cure existed but the knowledge was kept higher than my clearance ever allowed, however creating a Crytaxian cure is not the difficult part. Silver is not 100% Crytaxian, he is part human, and his hybrid DNA is... for lack of a better word, fragile. It is amazing that the mutation did not kill him instantly, but at the cost of leaving his makeup delicate... the normal Crystaxian cure could cause his human DNA to fail, and a human-based cure could kill off his Crystaxian cells.." she empahsised her point by bringing up Silver's former DNA and showing the strands shattering apart. "Any cure Silver recieves will have to cure both his Crystaxian and human cells: any deviation could cripple or kill him outright. But even with the League that is likely to take time, and during that time Silver's mind will continue to degade: so I need to devote the majority of my resources to creating something that will prevent that degradation or at least slow it substantually...""..... this isn't what you want to hear, but.... my records show that no-one afflicted by this mutation has ever survived past a year... and some have only lasted weeks after first exposure. We'll only be able to stall so long until.... there won't be much left to save anymore..."
  10. IC: "Understood: <Fellwyd, this may take a while to explain but I will translate once Sluice has all the information>" Esp made sure Fellwyd knew he wasn't being ignored, as she was about to spout quite a lot of English which he wouldn't understand. She gestured and multiple holograms began to project into the room around her, DNA strands and crystalline constructs the most recognisable of them."Silver's mutation was caused by a specific crystal type that only existed upon Crystax itself: It's true name does not translate into English well, but the closest I could make it would be the God's Curse. I believe that the Core Crystal Technax used for the Mothership's superweapon was formerly a God's Curse that he heavily modified, and that's why it in particularly was so heavily shielded.... sheilds that were disabled when Silver destroyed it" she paused briefly to enlarge a hologram of the Core Crystal, something Sluice had witnessed before, albiet briefly. "Destroying a God's Curse causes it to unleash its radiation, which would've spread throughout the entire Mothership: even you were likely touched by it, however it only affects Crystaxian DNA specifically... and as Silver was in such close proximity, he would've taken the full force of the radiation. If it wasn't for his human DNA hybridising so well with his Crystaxian DNA that both were affected the exposure might have killed him instantly instead"."The God's Curse is something that had long since been forbiddion on the homeworld due to it's terrible consequences. It's effects causes the body to mutate horribly, usually into a non-humanoid form altogether, but massively boosts their powers in the process... you noticed Silver's abilities seemed far stronger when he was acting as Mastermind? I believe he may even have been holding back then, and if he used his full potenial... he would very likely achieve the power Ikusen Sakeme did when he possessed your body. There is a very good reason the warmongering Crytaxians of history willingly exposed themselves to this, in order to conquer other planets... they became ultimate warriors, taking down entire armies un-aided.... but all this comes at a cost..." she paused again, allowing some more of the information to sink in before she got to the most relevant part."The God's Curse was eventually outlawed because of it's crippling side effect: from the moment of exposure the mind of the afflicated will start to degrade. Degradation always occurs and can even be accelerated, but always results in the same thing: the mutated indivudal goes insane. The unstoppable warrior will no longer recognise his army, their mind falling apart.... eventually they will devolve into little more than an animal and treat every living as a threat. And when that happens, they will start killing everything on the planet until it is little more than a barren wasteland... and if they are not killed in the process, their mind will eventually completely collaspe in upon itself and they will simply cease functioning at all... Without a cure or even a way to stop the degredation Silver's mind will keep degrading... he's already spent a month alone and we've seen the effects that has had on his psyche. But it'll keep getting worse the longer he remains like this... and after a point, even if he cure him successfully his mind will be completely shattered and whatever psyche he has left will be permanent...""Simply put, if left untreated Silver will slowly go completely insane until it becomes fatal... and with the amount of power he now possesses, going insane may cause him to do catastrophic damage to the world in the process... I cannot say, but he may get to a point where he no longer relises you are important to him and tries to destroy you..." Esp slowly finished, able to take such data due to be an artifical mind: had she been human and discovered that her responsibility was put in such jepordy she may not have been able to handle it with such grace.OOC: I guess "bad news" seems like an understatement now, huh?
  11. OOC: The following IC has the Ymper stamp of approval, I swear it!IC: Fellwyd had titled his head to the left once Esp had translated Sluice's English into Welsh, but otherwise was unresponsive. Esp noted this began to extend into an awkward silence so decided to interrupt before it could get worse."It won't be long before we'll be at League Headquarters, but I think it's wise to inform you beforehand: I have determined the source and effects of Silver's mutation..... but...." her hologram glanced down at her feet as she paused, taking a long moment as if she didn't know how to put what she was going to say next. "I'm sorry, but I cannot bear any good news regarding it..."
  12. OOC: The League is clearly really lazy.... I mean, they let Silver in and he doesn't even have a job! Disgraceful! :PIC: Silver winced and squirmed as the memories replayed in his head, forcing him to rewatch his own actions once more. Still without the strength to awaken, he was simply forced to float helplessy and relive it all... not a pleasant experiance, especially as the worst was yet to come.
  13. IC: "Understood" Esp gave a nod of acknowledgement before turning to Fellwyd."<Sluice said: I'm sorry again about all this. It must be hard enough for you to cope with life on Earth without my personal crises to confuse you...>"Behind the barrier, Darkness's body was starting to liquify and pool together, his head melting then flowing into meet the body as he began to... "recover", if you could call it that. Even if he did fully reform, he was still trapped and cut off from everything else, so the most he could probably do was hurl insults as per his normal response to every hero encounter ever.OOC: Just a note, it can be assumed Esp will auto-translate any conversation Sluice and Fellwyd have that could possibly be directed at one another, so she'll translate pretty much everything :3
  14. IC: "Acknowledged. As I told Fellwyd, anything you wish to run through him may be run through me until I can create a substitute translator for him. I will place Darkness in isolation, and Silver is now intergrated into a regeneration tank. He will be unconcious, but you may see him through here if you wish" Esp gestured to her equivelent of a doorway (which was a flat surface with no obvious knob) down the hall. Within that room an unconcious Silver was contained within a slanted tube, a gel-like substance completely filling the void around him and only a small breather-device preventing him from drowning in the substance. Darkness's remains, meanwhile, had been thrown behind a flicking energy barrier in another room, cutting him off from the rest of the ship if he actually recovered from those injuries. While starting to lift off from the Vegas street, speaking to her passengers and healing Silver's wounds (she had impressive multi-tasking skills), Esp in particular over the DNA sample taken from "Silver". The DNA contained matter similar to both alterted human and what resembled Crystaxian DNA... but that wasn't her greatest concern. The mutant DNA was far too similar to a form she had in her databanks, in particular entries from Crystaxian times... but the cause of this mutation couldn't possibly exist on Earth, it was unique to the destroyed Crystax itself! And if this was indeed the same mutation, then Silver's life and all those around him would be at risk...Perhaps for the first time, Esp hoped her diaognosis would be incorrect...
  15. IC: "Apparently so, even though the likleyhood of his species' native tongue actually equating to Welsh is astronomically low..." Esp glanced back at Sluice before speaking to Fellwyd once more: "<I do not believe I can repair your translator, so I will attempt to create a replacement: if possible I will remove the translation delay and allow it to work as close to real-time as I can. But for the moment, anything you wish to ask of Sluice you may run through me to translate>" "Sluice, do you have a destination in mind yet? I am still running tests on the sample I took from... Silver.... to confirm whether he is indeed who he claims to be..." Esp asked, not considering an uncloaked spaceship sitting in a Las Vegas backstreet the best idea in the world to do for an extended period. The supposed Silver was currently in another room of the ship, his form being placed in a recovery tank to speed up the bodies natural healing process.
  16. OOC: Well Fellwyd doesn't need to be "tall, dark and handsome" when Silver is exceedingly paranoid. It's been a whole month since he last saw any of his friends after all and it felt like a lifetime.... anything could've happened! :PIC: When Sluice was pre-occupied trying to speak to Fellwyd, Esp neutralised Silver with a quick burst from an airborne tranquiliser. The mutant hero's body had no chance to try and gaurd from it so almost immediatly began to go limp, metallic tendrils descending from the ceiling to support his body and begin to carry him away to another part of the ship."I will handle Silver for now. As for Fellwyd... I believe his original translator may be beyond my capability to restore. It is my understanding that the language in question he speaks is primarily from Argentina and Wales..." Esp began, shifting through her database before turning her holographic avatar towards Fellwyd himself.<Is this the language your translator converted into English, and back? Do you understand this?> Esp asked in more-or-less accurate Welsh, already forming perliminary designs for a new translator mimicing his old one should the language she was using be correct.OOC: < > tags around is generally what I/we have used in the past to denote that they are not speaking in English. How do you want your new translator to be? His old one was kind of a like a necklace with a box on the end right?
  17. That's just hero-talk for "Toss 'em anywhere", right? I seperate myself from any liability caused by everyone inside the sub drowning from following this advice, just so you know. :PIC: The small amount of happiness Silver gained from being supported by the female of his affections was quickly soured when she turned briefly to call for that other guy. The mutated hero did not like Fellwyd much.... had it been under different circumstances maybe he'd be cool with it... but finding out that for the past month (as far as he knew) Sluice had been calvaunting around the world with ANOTHER alien? An alien who was kinda a ***** too, since he decided to snap one of Silver's fingers like a twig... what if Photon was helping Fellwyd out too? What if they'd given Fellwyd his bed?! What if the alien was actually super-suave and had set to work seducing Sluice from the getgo?!?!"Greetings once again, Silver. If you actually are who you claim to be this time" Esp interrupted his unrealistic train of thought, causing Silver to frown in annoyance."Well you're still unhelpful as ever, Esp. Did you actually manage to get everyone off the Mothership, at least?""Everyone we brought to take it down escaped with me, save Shard and yourself. Shard survived his landing on Earth, while you....""Escaped myself. I had to get clobbered by Technax to do it, but I managed it... still questioning whether I should've just stayed up there..." Silver sighed, glancing down at his tri-fingered palm.... it was so unnatural.... he hated it: his own hand! He could barely look at himself anymore, but at least the distraction allowed Esp to send a tendril-like extension over to stab him in the shoulder, draining a blood sample. "THAT ****ING HURT!""Don't be such a baby, it didn't even sting""It did a lot more than sting you... you.... I don't have an insult right now but one'll come to me... and then you'd better watch out , cause it'll be a doozy!" Silver took a bit of a swing at Esp's extension with the blood sample with his good hand: since his tail-wound hadn't been tended to it was possible Silver had probably lost more blood than anyone should and he was becoming a bit... light-headed and zanier than usual.
  18. IC: "Ah... so he just happened to appear in your life during the month I was gone? Y-You sure your new helmet doesn't have an alien beacon in it somewhere, we just seem to gravitate towards you..." Silver joked, wincing as he managed to get fully standing again, using his tail for balance. "This thing's as much a blessing as a curse...""I'm aware of his claims. But they are only claims until I can verify via a DNA sample.... he could be manipulating your desperation for Silver's survival by acting as he would. Just stay on gaurd... Darkess is far easier to manage than this Mastermind debacle..." Esp responded, her tone one of suspicion instead of happiness her former owner may still be alive. Regardless of this she still shifted her parked craft form into a light hover, approaching the pair with gangplank extended before landly softly mere meters away. Silver started to walk towards the familar opening with a bit of a pained limp, using his tail both to assist balance and slightly as a crutch... he didn't want to admit it, but it was a real possibility he might actually fall flat on his face if he kept going unaided.OOC: Hey Ymper, can Fellwyd fix his own translator or did you want Esp to attempt to repair it when he enters at some point? It'd be pretty awkward to not have a translator for the rest of the RPG, is all
  19. IC: "I guess I don't really have much of a choice apart from lying here forever.... but I'm not looking foward to being chewed out by her. But let's... t-try and get there, at least..." Silver sighed, trying to push himself into a standing position but struggling enough that he wasn't going to get far without help. "... at least you haven't changed much in a month. Apart from.... whats-his-face"Esp meanwhile had been 'eavesdropping' in on the entire ordeal via the communicator built into Sluice's supersuit, and didn't like what she was hearing. If Mastermind truly DID possess Silver memories, then he could easily fake being Silver himself to fool the emotionally fragile Sluice.... then dispose of her at her most vulnerable. But if he really was Silver, then the ship was duty-bound to assist in any way she could, especially trying to treat his condition. But without a DNA sample she wasn't willing to trust anyone yet.
  20. OOC: I actually thought he was planning to dispose of the head by.... eating it. I'm glad I was wrong. :PIC: Somewhat comedically (and downright creepily) Darkness's remaining body spasmed whenever the head was struck for a good while before going still completely: whether the head was reduced to evil mush or not was up to Fellwyd and his persistance to actually clobber it into such a state."I-I know you would've wanted to help.... but I n-not sure this can be h-helped" Silver winced at her application of a makeshift cast, the gesture at least appreciated. Suddenly he spasmed, reaching up to clutch his head as his aura flared and created several memory afterimages which blurred and overlapped into each other, clashing before fading away just as fast as they had appeared: a more visual representation at the instability within his head. "I d-don't think I'll last more than a couple of months... my m-mind is.... fa-falling apart...." he whimpered quietly, trying hard to block out the mental AND psyhical pain assaulting him.
  21. IC: "Mastermind" pushed himself upwards slightly, in a fair amount of pain. Already weakened from their earlier confrontations being clobbered by Darkness had put him in a bad way, but he didn't seem to have any injuries that were fatal... at least, not visibly. He whimpered slightly at her question, still struggling to look at her even without Darkness to interrupt."Y-Yes.... if you call this living. I didn't want you to know...." he whispered, glancing at her enough that she could tell he was trying hard not to cry. Though his body had been twisted far from what it once been, Silver had yet to leave the world of the living after all. Right now he rather wished he had than have to face this situation... he simply couldn't handle seeing Sluice, a very important factor in his sham of a life, looking at him in this way. Worse was the fact now she knew, it was impossible to take back or hide it again... she had to live with the knowledge Silver had become.... this.OOC: You're gonna reveal that Sluice doesn't actually like Silver, but Abyss is attracted to him, aren't you? Just to toy with his emotions... Though I wouldn't call one-upping me much of a challenge
  22. OOC: So it is possible to fool the mighty Kumata, I simply need to use massive amounts of misdirection and blatantly lie! Fooling Kumata was basically my main goal of the start of this plot, and I (at least partially) succeeded! Indeed! Remember how I claimed Mastermind was nothing but elborate misdirection? That claim itself was nothing but misdirection to get everyone off the scent of the obvious truth (come on, I wasn't gonna fool anyone for 5 seconds with a psychic with the same aura wearing the same cloak XD), and throwing Darkness in threw everyone off even further. Only Lord of Adders Black has known the truth from the start, since, um, he had to approve the plot. Thanks for keeping you lips sealed! I actually just wanted to give Silver a good reason to be mad at his "replacement"... but I didn't actually expect you to break anything! Now I've got more material to deal with :evilgrin:Also, I apologise for not leaving any time for Sluice/Fellwyd to react to all that was happening, but if I did that post would've taken up about 2 or 3 more posts. Doing it all in one condensed quite a lot :)IC: Darkness had been estatic at the revelation: Silver was NOT dead, just ugly as sin now. That meant he could pick right back where he left himself and go back to ruining his good half's life, after of course revealing Silver's secret to the one person he was trying to hide it from... but she didn't take it as he expected she would. He expected more tears, screaming... he actually really hoped Silver would get slapped. But no, she didn't do that at all... she was directing everything at him instead? How unfair!"Nice try wi- GAH" Darkness's attempt to lift Silver up in the path of the daggers was thrawted when the mutant suddenly jerked his elbow backwards, connecting hard with the supervillian's crotch and resulting him being dropped out of harms way. His not-quite-human shield lost, Darkness's body was skewered repeatedly by her salvo as he tried to avoid it, only to be locked in place when Fellwyd siezed him from behind and pushed him further into the dagger hailstorm (which released quite a lot of pained cries and obscenties from Darkness). "Mastermind", meanwhile, simply lay sprawled upon the pavement comptemplating what to do next... his whole world had pretty much crashed down to rubble and he was too ashamed to even try getting up anymore."You all freakin' suck h- ARGH I DON'T BEND LIKE THAT!" the very-well skewered Darkness gargled as Fellwyd set about clobbering him with the supervillian's own severed limb, which was quite humilating in any respect and warping his body in ways that humans weren't meant to be bent. "NONONONONO" Darkness attempted to fight the alien off, but was too restricted by mass impalment to prevent the soldier grabbing his head and with a large display of strength, decapitating the supervillian with one powerful movement. That seemed to be far more then he could handle, for Darkness's remaining torso flailed wildy before going limp and slumping to the ground, leaking more of the dark substance that could ever be considered pleasant. It also caused him to shut his mouth for the first time since he arrived, though whether he was actually killed or merely disabled was another question entirely...OOC: I'm assuming Fellwyd still has the head, you can toss it around if you want
  23. IC: Darkness let loose a string of foul Earthican obscenities as the alien tore into him without restraint once again, causing him to lose his mind-based duel with Mastermind and suffer quite a headache as a result. Trying to clobber Fellwyd away was failing miserably this time as he had gotten a much better grip, so Darkness unleashed a psychic blast point blank to seperate them: this achieved what Darkness had hoped for, but not entirely how he wanted it."YOU RIPPED OFF MY ARM YOU SICK ******!" he howled, the entirety of his left arm still in Fellwyd's grip and the substance that composed it almost screaming sickeningly now that it was seperate from the rest of him. Losing a limb was putting him in a good amount of agony, but unlike other supervillians Darkness could work with that bit more than most, and was still able to deflect Mastermind's wristblade with his own before unleashing a surge of eletrical-appearing psychic energy into the mutant. Uncharacteristicly this caused Mastermind to scream, dropping to his knees where Darkness promptly kicked him in the face before turning the lightninglike power to Fellwyd and blasting him with it. This "Dark Lightning" caused no psychical damage to the target, but put them in agonising pain for the duration: a psychic power supposedly unique to Darkness himself and one of his advantages. "Now... where the heck did you get that cloak?""..... i-it was on sale" Darkness seemed unapprecitive of Mastermind's humor, blasting him with the psychic lightning a second time."If you don't know, she will" he growled, reaching into Sluice's vulnerable mind and rumaging around, searching for the information he needed. After a few brief pauses to kick Mastermind back down into the ground when he tried to interfere and unleash another surge of lightning on Fellwyd (larger bursts each time as Fellwyd was pushing through the pain surprisingly fast), Darkness had found all the information he needed and he instantly recognised the truth... and that made him burst into laughter. It almost put him in tears, pushing Mastermind into the pavement with his foot until he regained his composure and smiled widely. "Oooooh, that is RICH. I don't know what's worse... that you managed to create such a ridicilous story, or that they believed it. How did you put it, Mastermind... time is up for this ridiculous cherade, wasn't it?" Mastermind glanced up at the words, eyes wide."You can't!""Can't I? Pyschics stealing the powers of other psychics? Stealing a heroes clothes and NOT killing him? Heck, a supervillian who DOESN'T try to do in superheroes at the very first oppotunity? You made it all up... all to try and hide what REALLY happened...""SILENCE!" Mastermind roared, managing enough energy to bury his wristblade deep within Darkness' chest. Darkness just rolled his eyes, completely unfazed (but in horrible pain) as he blasted Mastermind again."You never learn... but the cats out of the bag now. Sluice, you really wanted to see dear ol' Silver again didn't you?" Darkness blasted Mastermind in front of Sluice (it was possible she wasn't even aware of what was happening yet), zapping him with lightning again for good measure before pulling back the mutant's hood. Masterminds face was as mutated as the rest of him, two small ears on the top of his head as well as some kind of... organic tube connecting his head and torso, but he refused to face the aquakinetic. "LOOK AT HER AND SHOW HER THE TRUTH""N-No" Mastermind's refusal to face Sluice was met with another brutal shocking, before being dragged up by Darkness high enough that she should've been able to look him in the eye. Mastermind's appearance was completely mutated, completely unnatural... but the eyes were out of the place, looking like they didn't fit the body. And she'd seen these eyes before.... the deep brown was unmistakeable even after being hidden for so long: she knew them well and had seen them happy, sad, terrified, raging and other glances in her direction that defied explanation... but never with the deep shame they were projecting now. Those eyes were not those of a random supervillian...OOC: Now you know much of a dirty liar I am. Sorry
  24. No, Sugah's just Darkness's cuddly-wuddly name for Rush... *blatantly lies to cover up errors*IC: "Waterworks? Let me guess, you thought Silvee was alive 'cause of the fragment within me I've been using to replace him .. you know, fill the void of a heroic equal his absence created. But I couldn't sense him at all after those alien fireworks, so the real him... he's gone. Blammo. Why the heck didn't you save him, without him my life lacks purpose! You screwed all my evil plans, my life is ruined thanks to you ditching him up there you flo- HOLY CR" Darkess's cuss was cut off as Fellwyd reached him unobstructed (Darkness shared the "overtly long evil dialogue" flaw with other villians) and tore into him: at first Darkness's body reacted as any normal body should to being torn apart, but the damaged tissue quickly returned into a liquid-solid matter form. This gooey, pure black substance was like fighting Playdough©: it just flowed and squished, torn from his body to seemingly little effect despite Darkness's actions suggesting it at least caused extreme pain in the process."Get 'offa me you freak!" he cried with a fair amount of irony, slugging Fellwyd in the face with surprisingly force for a human and enough to dislodge him. Leaping to his feet the dark psychic launched a blast at Fellwyd before rushing fowards with wristblade ready to swing: but not towards Fellwyd. Darkness had been stewing on Silver's death for an entire month, and had plenty of time to try and direct blame... but now he had an actual outlet and was going to hold Sluice wholly responsible (the fact he knew Silver had fancied Sluice was just a bonus final vengence). "You're dead for taking my future from me!" he fumed, rushing towards the sobbing heroine only to seize up in place, clutching his skull."Leave. Her. Be." Mastermind hissed, assaulting the other psychic entirely on a mental plane and freezing his progress. Darkness screamed then turned in place to face Mastermind, "pushing" back in mental combat. While it was not very specatucular in the real world, the pair become very much occupied in their minds essentially disabling the pair of them as they fought... which also left BOTH open to be attacked. Darkness seemed quite obviously evil and unhinged, but Mastermind had just helped Sluice and possibly saved her skin... though if he was really alinged with Darkness, why would he care? Abyss and Fellwyd had nothing but mistreated him, he owed them little so why would he help to begin with? Questions were being answered only to open far more confusing ones...Except for Fellwyd, who without a communicator would probably be confused by pretty much anything at this point.
  25. Then my job is done.... wait I still have to post a bunch, dang XDFellwyd I'm amazed if you're following a word by this point, especially if I've even managed to confuse Kumata! And yes, Kumata, I do appreciate not going all Abyss on me again as that would've been very unhelpful X_X.... I like Sluice more anyway Abyss is mean to meIC: "No! S-Stay away!" Silver cried, somehow managing to summon a wristblade and stab it into the street close to Sluice's foot in an attempt to drive her away. His blood continued to pool deeply before slowing to a trickle, then seemingly starting to flow backwards: but Sluice was not the cause, she couldn't be for try as she might the substance did not seem to contain water no matter how fluid it was appearing. Silver grimaced as the substance started move erratically, piling up before flowing into his cloak with a sickening unnatural sound as he tried to push himself upwards, defying gravity completely: blood didn't do that. Struggling to his feet, Silver glanced upwards to the swirling stormclouds that had appeared overhead as the dark substance surged back into his body, his cloak, anywhere as he stood with balled fists until he simply couldn't take it anymore"AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!" "Silver's" cloak covertered into a foul, liquidy-solid matter as he changed, his aura rapidly flickering between blue and red and back again. The storm cell had intensified by now, causing lighting to actively flash above the group and become drawn to the nearest lightningrods as what they had hoped to be Silver changed into another form.... the liquidy-matter being absorbed into a new jet black cloak that was tattered and torn and the wristblade's friendly blue aura changing to a frightnening bloodthirsty red hue, the blade itself becoming more jagged and erratic like it's owner... someone Sluice unfortunatly knew and perhaps one of the last people she'd want to see right now."Nrrrrygh, GOD that freaking stings! W-Where the heck am I this time?! " 'Silver' asked, the dark substance having fully reformed his body and been absorbed within. This new form of the psychic turned and noticed Sluice's horrified expression, and he began to chuckle in a pleased manner. "... Sluice. I don't recall messing with your life since I exposed your identity to the world with Sugah. Miss me?"OOC: Um, well.... technically speaking, this is still Silver.... from a certain point of view :3And hey, this guy is special enough that Fellwyd is actually allowed to wail on him unrestrained!
