  1. IC: Had Esp bothered to devote powet to her hologram, it would have frowned at the technical-pyrokinetic. "This is primarily a personal transport, not a warship... all I have is confinscated arms. Literally" she admitted, panels sliding away to reveal where several looted-from-Technax's forces weapons and gadgets.... including several literal Soldier arms, the ones fitted with the micro-rocket launchers. "Supposedly flexing the central finger fires the projectile, but I haven't field tested them to see if any of these even function still"Elsewhere in the bowels of the imploding Mothership, Technax's systems interfaced with his crumbling command structure. The fact that despite his best efforts, the central explosion would not be contained and his prized Armarda hub was going down.... not even taking Earth with it. Growling in unparrelled fury at having been cheated out of his vengence once more, the cyborg slammed his cannon down so hard it caused half the panel to crumple inward before glancing over at another indicitor: the escaping vessel still hadn't been shot down. Incompetents! Still.... there was one weapon that had a chance of destroying them with sheer, inaccurate firepower. Inputting some of the last commands he stalked off, flanked by several Rollers, to secure his own personal safety. While his rage was almost enough to disgegard himself to hunt them down, the only reliable way to kill them, he saw it, he was still driven survive... and conquer.Back in the storage ring section of the ship, the every growing mass of Dual Fighters fired blindly into the mist, even disregarding any friendly fire systems they had left. The ride got even rockier as more deadly green flares sprouted from the inner sections of the ship, any Dual Fighters that directly followed the mist trail usually flying straight through a flare, while Esp would execute a nimble flip or spin to avoid immediate destruction. What would soon be within reach was a gaping maw of the failing access tunnel, their only reliable way to exit the Mothership. Unfortunatly, Technax had been monitoring their trajectory and had activated one final gaurd (too his dismay, the access systems were so damaged they wouldn't respond to his commands to close, locking them open) in his attempt to slay them all.... even if it wouldn't save his vessel, it'd still make him feel better about himself. The defender in question was a skyscraper of a war machine, even taller than the Inferno Walkers. The overly-armed Seige Tower, proppelled by massive treads, was the ultimate in target location destruction... it could bombard the most fortified location endlessly. Naturally, with such a straight-line firing design, the Tower had the mobillity of the Statue of Liberity. It was almost comedic to watch the Tower, not designed for any kind of storage zone movement at all, attempting to place itself on the path Esp would have to take... indeed, it's sheer weight simply caused failure in the floor as it advanced too far, the whole thing tipping to hit the opposite wall at a diagonal, now wedged in place with no hope for any further movement. But it was facing the right way.OOC: Changed Esp-related green since the Lime was getting eyescalding, as I'm sure it was to you all =PSeige Tower image by KN =3
  2. IC: "Everyone who should be here is here..... and we don't have the time to delay waiting. We must depart now" Isis spoke up for the first time in the long while, her silence likely a good thing. It was generally accepted that just about everyone here hated the precognitive psychic's roundabout way of delivering information and her cryptic responses to further prys... the future could only share so much with the past without altering the future entirely. Surprisingly, she had support this time."Isis is right.... everything is going to plan but our escape window is rapidly closing" Esp agreed, the gangplank behind the last arrivals closing up most of the way as she took off into the storage ring of the failure Mothership superstructure. Displays inside began to show a disturbing development as they picked up speed: flashes of colour as the stored units came online just as they passed."........ the failing power systems have overloaded and powering up EVERYTHING, and without Diabolous to focus them all, they're regarding anything foreign as hostile" the AI quickly explained, just as several small impacts were heard, splashing off her shielding. "And the only thing hostile in here right now is US. This may get bumpy" The gangplank lowered partially to show the endless masses starting to trail after them, the majority Dual Fighters... at first on a couple, then a dozen, then over two dozen, then so many it was getting hard to see anything else: more joined the chase as they were passed by. And all had taken to constant firing, sending numerous impacts splashing across the steadily draining shields. It was clear that just standing around inside would get them all killed: they'd have to fight on the fly.The gangplank lowered as far as it could go without allowing a sudden jolt to throw anyone out, and numerous Superbeing attacks blasted out into the trailing masses..... where hundreds upon hundreds more would steadily join the chase, even massive sea-faring battleships static down below whirring to life and taking aim with their oh-so-inaccurate cannons. An invasion's worth of units was hunting the lone ship down....OOC: If you're not listening to Mass Effect 2's: The End Run by now, you should be! It's you outside the back of a small spaceship V an entire invasion fleet that activates the second you race by... could you defeat them? Rather impossible....Your task? Survive.
  3. OOC: I'll just say psychic's already have a fair few powers as standard, unless you outright block them off. Telepathy, telekinetics, precognition to a usually very limited degree, weaponising psychic energy... it all depends where you specialise. Silver is pratically all out on weaponised psychic energy (blasts, wristblades, orbs), with his telepathy and telekinetic powers so-so at best. His tries really hard, but that doesn't mean he'd actually beat someone who specialises in something else. Just keep those in mind for the profile since I like to think I made psychic's really broad in this RPG 8D ....... I also have a spaceship and a magical gem that is godmodding incarnate! Power for the win! .... if only the Crystal actually bothered to help us ;_; IC: "Will you just all get in here already!" Esp urged, her spacecraft form hovering just off the ground as everyone boarded, the hanger groaning as the metal warped and shunted inwards towards the green void of energy in the centre of the Mothership. The glowing, yelled eyed alien known as Harbringer had kept his mouth shut this entire time, and continued to due so, but was eyeing off the technology of the craft as he stood inside. With Loadstone and Fade soon zipping towards her, Esp suddenly lurched to the side to avoid a sudden flare tearing it's way from the centre of the ship, lancing out of tearing through the hangar walls and beyond. The sphere of instant destruction was growing steadily, and from Shard's view in space a good third of the Mothership was already swallowed into the green abyss. Perhaps even more worrying for the inner group was that several Dual Fighters seemed to be patrolling the outside of the hanger in a very lazy formation... like they weren't even meant to be active at all.
  4. IC: "Ten seconds!" Esp informed the lollygaggers frantically as they ran, flew and smashed their way towards the hangar and their escape, time of the essence in this situation. Even more so as the entryway to the storage ring of the whole Mothership superstructure was locking down, and trying to unlock it once it closed would take valuable time they did not have to spare. Down on Earth, military considered launching ever weapon in their arsenal at once to stave off extinction, but every scenario with a shred of success also risked massive blowback onto the Earth, at best crippling and irradiating entire sections of the planet. It was far too late to enact such a do or die stratergy, and many eyes were turned to the growing green glow out past the Moon. Shard himself would have the best, and worst view... he would either see the Mothership go down, or Earth reduced to nothingness, and be relatively helpless to act against it. "Three...." Even with his eyes closed in focus, Silver was still certain the painful glow at near pointblank range was making him go blind... not that he risk worried him, considering what was at stake. The psychic orb in his palm pulsed and rippled in extreme instability after he'd poured all the power he could spare into it, praying it would be enough. "Two" His focus increased and he forced himself to lurch foward, sensing the immeniant future. His timing had to be exact, or he would fail and the bomb would activate, very likely taking all his allies with it. It would become vulnerable in heartbeat, and he had to succeed. For his home, for everyone on Earth, for his friends, for...... "One" Silver's eyes snapped open, his psychic blue aura flaring up brightly. It was time. Though he couldn't see it, he sensed the Extinction Cannon crystal's surface going vulnerable as the power held within peaked and the glow reached eye-scalding porportions. The psychic thrust his palm foward and launched the orb with everything he had as the Extinction Cannon began to discharge. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. The small blue projectile sailed onwards.... ...... and impacted. The very heart of the Extinction Cannon and the Mothership itself fractured and had a huge, important chunk missing as the explosive mental creation impacted with all the force the conjuring mind could muster. Unfathomable amounts of energy backed up upon itself, minute amounts surging back into the energy systems and causing a critical overload. The crystal was unable to release as designed, nor could it contain the vast amount of power, and it shook under sheer stress as the energy began to amass. Silver stumbled backward, attempting to throw a shield over himself as his body burned: the radiation barrier had failed and exposed him to whatever the superweapon gave off. Despite this, the psychic managed to smile contently to himself, even as he saw the stored energy amass at a tiny point in the comprised structure. Goodbye The central top and bottom sections of the Armarda Mothership exploded outwards in a shower of 'impregnable armour' before being immediatly disintergrated by the green energy that caused it, flares lancing out in all directions that drew anything towards them just to share the same fate. The entire saucer's superstructure was comprominised, metal twisting and folding inwards as a huge sphere of destructive power was born at it's heart, like a new star consuming it from the inside out. The sheer force of the blast was enough to send everyone, human alien or robot sprawling and dazed as alarms began to blare all over the ship: every of the four power crystals had been outright destroyed or was overloading, systems recieving too much power and violently exploding. The destructive sphere at the heart of the ship was growing, drawing more and more of the craft into it while flares lashed out and destroyed anything they touched. Failsafes began to seperate and launch sections of the craft away into the void, but the impossible to predict flares annilated just as many that got out of range.... if not more. The Aramda Mothership was completely and utterly crippled and was not far from complete destruction. All this had occured in under half a minute, and already those within the Mothership were recovering from the inital blast. The only question now would be if they would live to tell the tale.
  5. OOC: I was waiting for Rahl to slip in before I continued, but seems I've overshot a bit! But not my fault, I'm still breaking in my TARDIS Also, that bit about the breach was actually directed at H-D I think, since the Scorchmark IC suggested there was still a giant hole somewhere that needed to be plugged. IC: Shard was right to be confident, for Gaurdian X finally had nothing left to fight with.... in more spare parts that was likely considered humane, and those parts on a long, long trip towards the Sun, X was defeated for good. That just left the pressing problem of floating through the lifeless void of space.... since you couldn't do that forever. Well, diamonds ARE forever but... that'd be more of a Shard fossil than a Shard. ********************************** "Thank you.... all of you. Get as far from the centre as you can, you've got.... 32 seconds. Make the most of it, and if you're all still alive I'll see you in minutes. Take care of yourselves" Silver mused contently, removing his earpeice. He could no longer afford to be distracted no matter how much he wanted to, so tossed his communication device away and out of his sight, having no idea where it landed. Sighing, the psychic stepped closer to the ever-brighter glowing Extinction Cannon core, the mammoth crystal rotating as raw destructive power was poured into it's form. This was it... all or nothing. He focused on his palm, forming a psychic orb: a relatively new explosive move he'd toyed with recently. Except now he didn't need to worry about collateral. Bending his mental power to his will, he forced every ounce of power he could into the orb, which grew and pulsed as it's instability grew... 28 seconds As the escaping groups headed towards the hangar a rather immediate problem assailed their ears. Familar rolling of metal on metal.... Rollers, shielded gattling guns. A lot of them. Dozens. Technax had activated every single one on his Mothership, hundreds in all, and their were all swarming from all ends towards the hangar the organic signatures were being tracked to. He had clearly decided he wouldn't tolerate any of the group leaving alive. The first of the rollers shot around a corner behind Sluice and Loadstone, racing after them as it's dual-weapons began deploying from it's spherical body mid-travel, while two more were trying to catch up to the others. 25 seconds until the Extinction Cannon fires OOC: Basically..... run. Very very fast. Rollers are also pretty magnetic, if that helps 8D
  6. You're out of league, whippersnapper, I've been marrying Spink's for years! And Spink's only character right now is female so.... @_@ I'm going to try and stick with the BZPRPG with at least one character for now and hopefully not phase out like I usually do.... I'll try playing a non-goody-two-shoes for once, and we'll see how that goes =3
  7. OOC: I'll point out that the vacuum has just been sealed, and Half-Dragon pratically begged me to throw Shard into space so you weren't really meant to "save" him =P ......... not that you ICly know that, of course. Carry on. IC: In a normal environment, Shard would've been able to hear the sound of stressed metal easily. Instead he just had to guess correctly that the blade-tail was struggling to stay attached to the rest of the body, but despite having a diamond blade through it's chest. Gaurdian X still 'clawed' at Shard's face with it's remaining hand, even fine with trying to fistycuffs him to death. It was clear X was outmatched, but Technax has also programmed it to never surrender, so it'd keep going and probably attempt to attack as just a torso. ********************************* Silver wished Fade was by him right that moment.... just so he could punch the phaser in the face. Hard. "No. Don't you dare come down here after me, any of you. No-one else is getting hurt because of my mistakes. The Extinction Cannon still has one final defense: the focusing crystal itself has an impregnable surface when idle... but at the apex of it's power storage, it'll be fragile... all the shielding was to prevent something hitting it, and now they're all disabled, I'm about to do that... but it'll only work when the Cannon is about to fire. When I trash this thing, all the stored energy that would've destroyed Earth will do....we don't know. So nobody else is coming down here with me, and even if I fail, Esp created a backup: the device Sluice delivered to me earlier is a powerful bomb that will detontate just before the firing sequence ends. We're sure that will multiple the power of the damage a hundred fold, and if you are anywhere even remotely close to the center of the ship, we'll all by killed" Silver replied bluntly into the comm to all the Mothership-bound heroes and allies, even those in the void right now. The psychic paced back and forth as the huge crystal lowered further downward in the chamber, the mass of stored energy starting to flow into at a rapid rate as the firing sequence entered the final stage. All or nothing. "Everyone, Esp will lead you to her in a hangar, and you need to all get on board as quick as you can.... or at least get a close as possible before the countdown ends. We have less than two minutes now, and Technax won't just let us fly out once his prized ship starts to go down. Esp, the protocol I told you about earlier, activate it now for me.... please. The rest of you.... try to stay alive until I get back to you, alright? And one more thing..." the psychic continued, before pausing. He felt like he was leaving something out, that something needed to be said to reassure everyone in the faith he had in the plan, and his decision to take on the Extinction Cannon alone. "........... we're all heroes, and we all have a destiny. Some are glorious and some are terrible, but right now we've all got one destiny. Something I wouldn't entrust to any other people anywhere over all of you. We're destined to save the world, all of us. They have faith in us to come back to them so let's not let them down for even a second" OOC: You've all got a brief window to say anything you feel appropiate yet not mindbogglingly "I am your father", just feels like the sappy time for it. But if anyone asks Silver where he left Photon's flat keys, a pidgeon flew off with them. Really.
  8. IC: Gaurdian X "howled" with seeming artifical rage as arm nearing the controls suddenly disconnected from his body, Fade causing a catatrosphic joint failure in that arm. Their combined pestering and the still-rushing air forced X into a standing postion with Shard still forcing it back even further, only it's magnetised foot and stinger, dug into the floor, keeping it in place. Then, out of either acceptance of it's failure or outright malicious desire on Shard's behalf, it's stinger shot upwards to try and stab it's attacker violently to death. X was on it's last legs, and even that failed. The sheer force of everything against it caused the weakened leg joint to shear off under stress, sending both X and Shard tumbling away into the vacuum of space. A metal barrier rapidly began to slide across the window frame to seal the breach, but suffered a horrific system jam at the worst possible moment, unable to prevent the pair being ejected before it struggled to seal the hull breach completely, the rapid air loss ceasing as the environment stablised. While Shard's plan may have been coming under fire from inside, outside in the lifeless void, Gaurdian X was pretty annoyed. After being ganged up on so badly only it's torso, one full arm, one stump, and it's stinger bladetail remained... and it was intent to take Shard apart with those assets in any manner possible. ********************************************************** The Hunter was close enough to lunge a strike at her, just barely missing as Sluice threw herself to the floor and it slashed the wall where her head had been moments. As it began to redirect its blades her application of water hit something not designed to get wet and it shorted out, sparks showering from the electrified point as something inside critically failed and exploded, toppling it as critical inner workings failed completely and it just couldn't function properly anymore. Taking the oppotunities as they came in case his window suddenly closed for whatever reason, Silver had rushed foward down the pathway as he was cleared, the Extinction Cannon core blindly bright ahead of him until only five good long strides seperated him from the giant green crystal.... any closer and he was sure he'd burn out of retinas and be relying entirely on chance to hit the thing at all. Only one sheild remained close around the crystal, a radiation barrier that allow all other matter through, but prevented what he was sure was very deadly substances from pouring all over him. "Everyone, I am now at the Extinction Cannon's core. According to Esp we only have.... three minutes until it fires, and that's not a big window. Blowing this thing could take out the entire Mothership at once, so you all need to fall back to Esp in a hanger as quick as you can. Sluice, that means you too. Time for you to go" Silver contacted everyone (even Shard, had he not lost his earpeice.... diamonds have ears, right?), swallowing hard. The stress was starting to pile up, with good reason since the burden he'd placed upon himself was astronomical... if he failed, Earth would be destroyed. Well, there was the device attached to his arm from earlier in the battle: a small but potent warhead that would detonate if he screwed up.... but all simulations saw the combined force of such a blast with the Cannon's destruction as killing everyone on board, including his friends. He could not allow it to come to that...
  9. IC: Gaurdian X was many things.... and despite it's fabricated nature, it was also very stubborn. Despite losing another functional arm and having a number of gashes in it's torso, and the downwards stabbing and dragging leading it dangerously close to bisection as the result of Shard's aggression, Gaurdian X was still coming, though it was attempting to stab it's attackers to death with it's only functional weapon, it's stinger tail. Just another arm's length from the controls, X still dragged itself on reaching out to misdirect the controls; as many as it could before it was defeated. Just one could potentially be disasterous. ************************************** Silver was impressed as ahead of him, shields began to gradually disable far faster than expected: but Technax being killed outright was too much to hope for. Moving foward as fast as he could, he paused by a blinking red light on his pathway... he hadn't been 'cleared' yet. "Sluice, you need to throw the switches now.... all of them. The shields are fading already and I have to get through" he contacted her through her earpeice, idling by the red light as it began to form a shrinking-pie-chart shape.... he got the really nasty feeling that was actually how long he had before it would eject him into space. Having her own problems would delay her at worst, the Hunter about to cross the icy patch as suddenly several panels broke free: heavy and one with a jagged edge. The others bashed it around floored it, the jagged one embedding deep into it's back in a shower of sparks, and impeding it's movements as several systems failed and jammed.
  10. We need a new Transformers RPG. Now. Someone make it happen. *puts $100 in pocket as downpayment*
  11. "Follow this order exactly and as quickly as you can: top green, bottom-left blue, middle-left orange, top-middle purple, bottom-right green, middle-right orange, top right blue then bottom-middle purple. DO NOT let anyone change the red one in the center!" Esp relayed the order the dial-like devices had to be rotated to one side, save the final, glaringly red one in the center of the others. Reptoid One and it's mission to make the head shoot it's own body got a lucky break, as it managed to fool it's targeting: by using it's own form as bait. Putting itself between the head and it's body, it fired but the Reptoid nimbly redirected just in time as the shot sailed toward it's target and hit the leg Scorchmark had been working on for quite a while; work that paid off since the joint was so weakened it just snapped under the force and went clattering away. That was rather unappreciated by X, part of it's arm also falling away after Shard's little shredding trick. The Gaurdian mishmash was in a bad way, headless, most of it's weapons offline and now missing most of it's limbs as well; only it's torso, tailblade, 2 out of 4 arms and a lone leg remained. "Too late, heroes. Your victory here is meaningless as it has cost you your very world.... but I'll see you all again soon! Hahahahaha!" Technax cackled as specialised systems from his body formed a kind of armoured suit over part of his body; with the arrival of the magnetic hero Technax knew it was time to withdraw, even with his magnetic-dampeners making him more or less immune. Turning in place, the cyborg raised his cannon and fired into the fractured window structure, shattering it effortlessly and sending himself into the void: something he could survive due to suit, his function leg thruster propelling him away and out of view as he traversed his Mothership's outer hull. This left everyone else with a gigantic problem: namely a giant hole in the bridge sucking air, parts, and anyone unlucky enough to have nothing to grab out into the lifeless void of space. Despite this, Gaurdian X was still functioning, clawing it's way across the floor towards the control panel Fade was meant to be throwing: it seemed it might be onto the plan. Or maybe it had advanced it's programming so far it just hated Fade's guts as much as it's master did. Aware of Loadstone's presence as well, a forked device was active on it's shoulder, creating an anti-magnetic field around itself... not as strong as usual, as the other shoulder's device was totalled. ************************************************ Sluice's gamble paid off, for a Hunter unit was not designed for icy travel in the least. Having built up too much speed it's attempt to stop left it hitting the ice and clattering to the floor, wheel-feet having no grip. Trying to right itself it slashed it's bladearms into the wall beside it, trying to claw it's way back up and across the terrian that would completely wall it. OOC: Most of the control room is magnetic, any destroyed robot goons are magnetic, and Gaurdian X is mostly magnetic save when a Magnetic Dampener is active, making it immune until that's destroyed. Technax has his two active so he's immune to magnetics... mostly since without them, he'd be incredibly easy to kill. Having metal in your brain creates those kinds of weaknesses =P
  12. IC: Sluice did not have to wait long, for the super-speed powered motorbike was soon in view speeding towards her rapidly: but rather than remain at extradinarily high speeds it slowed down, shifting from motorbike to it's tall and lanky combat form. Wheels in the place of feet and it's arms nothing but large metal blades that would make Silver's wristblades seem pathetically short, it regarded the aquakinetic almost warily... other Hunter's had run into her before and not come out of it intact. Rolling towards her, the Hunter began to slash it's blades ahead of it defensively as it approached, uses it's offensive weapons as a shield of sorts as it tried to close the gap and allow her weak organic body to become aqquianted with giant metal blades.
  13. OOC: Guess we're ending it with a bang then! Quite a few bangs, in fact... IC: Silver's relayed instructions were hurried at best, as the countdown to Earth's destructive end would not wait for them. Apart from keeping the entrance gaurded until Silver was past the final shield that keep him from the exposed Extinction Cannon, Sluice would also have to throw three switches as he advanced, in order to verify that he was not a threat: something that if not thrown would vent the Cannon's suroundings into the void. "Here, here and here.... in that order. Esp'll tell you when to throw them, and they'll sort out the rest up top, so don't worry" the psychic explained, spending a few moments during his explanation silently rechecking his mental barriers: it didn't look like he'd get another chance. Noting the growing concern becoming plain on her weary features, Silver unexpectantly grasped one of her hands. "Sarah. Everything will be fine. You just get me in there, get yourself back to the others, and I'll meet you on Esp as this whole place goes up... you just make sure you're still in once peice, okay? Photon'll kill me if I have to help pay his rent" he forced a chuckle, trying to lighten the heavy mood... unrealistic given the circumstances, but he couldn't just allow her to worry herself until she collasped. "We're running out of time, and you've got an unwanted visitor. Silver, you need to be in there now. Sluice, it's a lone Hunter but do you think you can handle it, because you're going to have to" Even from beneath his hood she could tell his annoyance at this, turning towards the hallway and rapidly firing two psychic blasts down the corridor: even if he couldn't fight it directly he could still at least stall it. "I have to go now. Stay..... stay safe" Silver was incredibly reluctant to let his grip on her go, gripping her until the last of her fingers slipped and they seperated. He'd have to remember this for a while to come... assuming that lastest that long. Turning her glanced at the barrier designed to keep anyone other than Technax out and steeled himself before stepping into it... and passing right through unharmed. He let ouf the breath he'd been holding, and taking once last glance inwards, steeping onwards into the Extinction's Cannon's walkways. ********************************** Technax sidestepped the smoke-bomb bundle that impacted and exploded against the 'glass', which fractured but remained intact (that notable since all the smoke gathered around Technax, and wasn't immediatly sucked outside). Releasing some kind of alien sound, most likely a swear, he fired his cannon several times in the general direction of his attackers: most missed by a while but one passed by uncomfortably close to Scorchmark's head. "You'll find a panel on the control area closest to the throne, and rotate what I tell you to the left in the precise order I tell you, and don't let ANYONE change their postion" Esp began, going on to list a annoyingly detailed description of which controls to use: maybe it would be appreciated given how the panel looked like what you'd see in the control room of a plane. An alien plane. As X's head was picked up and powered, the cannon end began to glow.... before discharging wildly and almost aggressively. Considering the sounds the head was making, powering it up seemed to reactivate the "brain" itself, and it was now trying to fry it's holder: this might also mean it was too smart to actually fire on an ally. X's headless body swung it's tail hard at Scorch, but despite the perfect lining X's programming was too advanced, and it managed to redirect the blade.... unfortunatly embedding it into the floor, but that was still better than it's leg. "Growling" at Shard, two of it's still functional arms lashed out and outright grabbed his blade-arm, holding on despite shredding themselves on the sharp diamond and trying to swing him around like a bat, right into Scorchmark. That'd really hurt, being bashed over the head with your teammate and all.
  14. @ the hat discussion: I only have a few hats. One is an Unusual Western Wear with Burning Flames effect .......... I think I uncrated about 30-40 Crate #19's before I found it =X Regardless, I admit I hate the TF2 trading market, mostly because stuff I get into my backpack end up plummeting in value. Like S. Sniper Rifle, was easily a key at release, now I can't sell it all ='(
  15. OOC: Great to see this topic back, given it's more or less my whole BZP world, and it's my favourite RPG anywhere still But, something I must ask you all..... do you truly want to continue this plot? Let's face it, no matter how many times I apologise, I butchered it, and it pratically ran a year and wasn't all that great... I admit, it wasn't exactly designed for everyone's enjoyment, mostly my own. I'll never run a plot as game-halting as this again, but I leave the plots fate up to you all. Skimp over the ending and start TSTW! in a post-invasion time, essentially a fresh slate for normality, or wrap it up and RP it out as per normal? As for where I stand? I can go either way, with most of my creativity devoted to making the ending more inclusive and fun for all than I originally invisioned... Also, replies =D IC: "Esp, how long do we have?" "Just under ten minutes" "We're cutting it close..." Silver mused as they traversed the dark hallway, poorly lit save the bright green glow at the very end, which appeared so far away, but grew steadily closer with each moment. From under the protective shadows of his hood he glanced at Sluice occasionally: the psychic had put up every defence or attempted defence he could manage into her mind... something not easy for one inexperianced in the realm of creating mental blocks. He could only pray it would hold until someone in the League could help her deal with her 'Abyss' personality once and for all.... it wasn't to be a part of her psyche. The glow was blinding now as they stepped out of the hallway in a gigantic circular chamber, a small control area affording a near-complete view of the area ahead. The Extinction Cannon was sickly, jagged green crystal that could make a Blue Whale jealous angled towards the floor at a point, with four massive orbs at each corner, pulses of incredible energy being stored from the four main generators throughout the Mothership. Apart from several clear pathways scattered around toward the center, the floor was almost entirely a clear substance, an image of the near-helpess to defend itself Earth splayed in view... but that wasn't as concerning as the several layers of shielding cutting them off from the Extinction Cannon itself. "Most of these are in the Bridge... Esp, get on those quick. Sluice.... the only way into there is through this barrier. Apparently it's only meant to allow Technax in but.... it'll have to accept me as close enough subtitute. This isn't what you want to hear, but.... this is as far as you can go" the psychic began to explain with a remorseful tone, glancing towards the entrance which was covered by a shimmering, purple barrier that would surely fry anything of a non-Crystaxian nature.... Sluice included. "I'll need you to disable some things from in here, and gaurd the entrance for me but when I tell you, you have to regroup with the others and Esp. .... promise you'll do this for me?" he pleaded, grabbing her arm briefly. This was not something he was willing to negotiate. ********************************** "Everyone, Silver and Sluice are in the Cannon but the shielding defending it is still active. I can't disable them myself without risking causing the system to initiate a premature firing automatically, you have to throw the switches manually in order. And don't just throw any old switch, the last shield is a radiation barrier and has to stay active. The controls are on a panel to the left of Technax's throne, someone get to it and do exactly as I say" Esp quickly relayed to the group fighting for their lives and those of everyone on Earth on the Bridge, whoever picked it up didn't matter as long as SOMEONE did. Technax whirled on cue and activated a round shield of energy projected from his elbow, creating a shield-of-old which surprisngly was immune to Fade's phased form, misdirecting the blow though it still glanced Technax's armoured side and sent a splatter of technological parts to the floor. "It's not going to be that easy, boy, this blocks the radiation that is the source of your power" the cyborg growled, taking an aggressive swing at Fade with his un-phasable shield, backpedaling away after the strike towards of the huge 'windows' with a view of the Earth. The tag-team on Gaurdian X were battered around until Shard's strike connected and with a loud scraping of metal and shower of sparks, the mish-mash of robotic warriors was beheaded. It's head and the attached head-cannon clattered to the floor... but Gaurdian X just stood there. Then it rushed towards and swung it's blade-tail at Shard, hard, aiming to smash him in the face with it..... so it even functioned headless. Great.
  16. Whoa, talk about blast from the past, most of what you just said only barely touched upon my memory.... good times, but so very long ago nowadays D=

  17. Wouldn't lack of feelings just be swell from an opinionated view? I mean, nobody would ever be insulted, we'd all agree to disagree, and get stuck in endless loops of "Roger Roger" "Roger Roger" until we rust and die... .... but then would be boooooooring as anything and nowhere near as fun/messed up. It is my opinion that this reply was fail; I have now hurt my own feelings... I should've just thought it, and spared my own feelings...
  18. Golly gosh you're right! But now I feel bad because I'm younger... but I guess that just confirms I'm far more immature =P
