  1. Oh gosh, let's think...

When I joined BZP I found a community. It was dope. I wrote a comedy early on, which I enjoyed, then learned to make gifs which led to me making 'movies' called Metru-Nui Adventures.

THAT was fun, made 'movies' starring friends I'd made and all that. Made friends like Motago, who I'm still close to off-site.

The original Staff Survivor was wild. Schizo's win was epic.

Back when there was the Exo-Force RPG in Lego General Discussion (remember when that was a thing?). Frickin' awesome RPG. Great exercise in communal storytelling.

Making staff was awesome. Inaugurated the Forum Mentors (remember when that was a thing?) and got flooded with reports I could do nothing about. Was a fun gig, before I got moved to being a Blog Assistant. I like the blogs. It is my domain now.

It's tough to point out specific things. As a whole BZP's been incredibly vital to my growing up and, I dunno, me as me. I like this site. Can the whole last 13 years be my favorite memory?

  2. I don't mind the aesthetic, it just comes off as garish for some reason. Like, castle-and-space combo sounds neat on paper and all, I just feel like something got lost. Maybe the sets look too much like a jumble half the time. I dunno. I wanna like it, but I pretty much don't.

  3. So what if LEGO did their own original story with CCBS?

Kinda like what they're doing with Ninjago, make a whole world with its lore and stuff. I know the CCBS building style doesn't really lend itself well to biological builds (see: CCBS humans in SW), why not do robots? But not like Hero Factory, something more... life-y. Like, bio-mechanical characters. And then give them powers and stuff and find a cool setting for it.

It's wild, but I think it'd be dope.

  4.

Those are what I figure I'm gonna end up using, because, duh. Right now I have two of these filled up with loose bits, plus a small bag and other bibs and bobs.

I guess I'm wondering if you've thought of something else. Is there another way that makes sense? Or have we as a LEGO community found the best way and are sticking to it?

I have my entire Bionicle collection in two of them and that's a lot of parts. Plus they don't take up much space.

I'll let you know how it goes.

  5. The bohrok eye is the right piece, I think it's the color. It's luminous in the games so in my mind it needs to be a transparent piece. Maybe the trans-yellow one from Oohnorak? Maybe even trans-orange? Wouldn't be strictly accurate, but it'd 'feel' right.

  6. My first response to seeing that was something along the lines of 'frickin' sniping pains in the butt.' Given that your moc elicits the same response I have in the game, I'd say it's spot on.

I do think the juicebox needs to be a little more pronounced, though.

  8. Hello atrophied BZP hivemind.

Due to working more and readjusting my budget, I've come out of my pseudo-Dark Ages over the past year. I've also recently moved and have a lot of loose LEGO bricks.

So I'm wondering, how do ya'll store them? I have a good chunk, but not enough to warrant sorting proper, but too much to just all toss in together messily. I live in a small apartment (New York, woo!) and so want a simple, compact solution. Links to items on Amazon is a plus.

I am taking the GM role by extreme lethal force.

Everyone can tell me all of their planned moves and secret alliances and I pinky promise I won't use this information to overthrow every existing structure on the island and create a Water Region dynasty.

    Nah.
You and your treacherous boyfriend can be my handy lieutenants that spontaneously become involved in musical numbers.

Well when you put it that way.
