I thought they were there to pilot the Mata Nui robot in case anything went wrong. It didn't matter what tribe they came from. The Great Beings just needed pilots who knew what they were doing in case of catastrophe. But according to your quote they were supposed to eject after the take off. So my guess is they were there to ensure a smooth takeoff. Obviously the ejection system didn't work.

I don't think many Makuta saw it coming, let alone Mata Nui. I mean, Teridax has plans within plans. It shouldn't be too hard to manipulate his brothers and sisters into compromising situations. Especially after he took control from Miserix. Besides, only the ones Teridax knew posted more of a threat were sent to Karda Nui. I remember someone asking Greg if there were many Makuta left after the Destiny War and Teridax took power. He said know because Teridax eliminated him. Although I can't find the quote now so I can't promise 100%.

Well, I remember back in 2001 on the original BIONICLE site it said Onepu was clumsy. That was later replaced and he was an Ussal Crab Champion. SO they have changed several things about him. I also remembered somebody mentioning purple being a weaker color in set form much like lime green was, although I'm not sure how true that it. However, why they made Nuparu a Toa rather than Onepu, I guess that is unknown. Although destiny does work in mysterious ways. I personally think because of how he faced the Bohrok and invented the boxor made him more likely to become a Toa rather than Onepu.

I always envisioned Marendar to look like a Toa. That way it(he?) could approach the Toa and neutralize them without too much difficulty.

I think depending on the power level depends on how long the effects are. And if the Matoran was shrunk, it is very possible he became crushed. That could be why they never found him. As for the Reconstitute at Random Matoran if he was put in stasis he would be frozen like that. Time stands still while they're in stasis so the power wouldn't wear off.

They were the six main elements the Great Beings chose. The six primary elements lived in several places. There could have been a few other matoran living in Metru Nui, but not enough to warrant its own Metru. I don't think the other Matoran weren't allowed or anything like that. The way I see it is like where a lot of Italians live together in one spot, or a lot of Asians. They can live wherever they want, but they choose to live next to others who are similar to them, whether it be by race, interests, or jobs. (I apologize if that sounds racist. I'm not trying to be.)

The Toa Mata collected the Noble Kanohi when they were collecting the Great Kanohi. When they became Nuva they gave their Noble masks to the Turaga. Not because they couldn't use them but because they couldn't use them from their Suva like they had been able to before.
