Actually, if we haven't concretely decided on a name yet, I would like to propose The Catalysts, or a name with the word catalyst in it. Here's why:
ca-tal-y-sis [n, pl] : a change and esp. increase in the rate of a chemical reaction brought about by a substance (cat-a-lyst) that is itself unchanged at the end of the reaction.
That's the dictionary definition. The basic definition is that a catalyst is a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction. After the reaction, the catalyst remains unchanged.
A prime example is the hole in the ozone layer. This hole is caused by a chemical called chlorofluorocarbon (CFC). CFC is a chemical used for a long time in refrigerants and in areosol sprays. After its use, CFC decomposes and releases chlorine into the atmosphere. Chlorine acts as a catalyst in a reaction that turns ozone to oxygen; thus, the hole in the ozone layer. Chlorine is left unchanged by the reaction, so it continues to destroy ozone.
My conclusion is that our organization is a catalyst in the production of chaos. We are purposely trying to create reactions that produce chaos, while we ourselves are left unchanged by the resulting chaos, so we continue to produce it.
It's a little long, but that's my suggestion.
