It will be a reboot. It would be near impossible to cohesively incorporate ten years of convoluted backstory into a new story without completely and utterly confusing new fans. -

I don't know if the new sets will be any good or not, but I must admit that I'm excited for them in a way similar to how I got excited for new sets from 2001 onward to the first wave of 2007. The excitement dissapated for me to a great extent after the Barraki because LEGO kept reusing the same Inika/Piraka designs over and over again until the end, so my nostalgic feelings for Bionicle are somewhat colored by those poor last years, but I can't deny that Bionicle was a defining part of my life for quite a few years, so as soon as they become available, I will happily purchase the new sets. -

I am quite familiar with that Logical Thinking fellow. He's a classic has-been. He used to be one of the most polarizing members on BZP. He frequently wrote of his dislike of modern Bionicle in his blog, I Eat Noobs. His views often caused controversy, but he was well respected, even by those who disagreed with him. He eventually moved on to other things, and became just another veteran lurker who pops in every now and then. In my opinion, he is a much more agreeable person these days. Back in his heyday, he had a tendency to be loud and condescending. Now, he is a very laid back guy who generally avoids conflict. -
