If you plan on staying in 1 or 2 tunings, doing all sorts of metal solo wankery, and spending more time restringing, then yeah go for it. But now I wish I'd gotten something with a Kahler. You don't have to clip the ball ends, and it just generally seems easier to deal with.

I don't know about that, I quite like Will Ferrel's drumming in RHCP. It's fairly generic, I mean, most of RHCP's stuff is fairly generic if you actually take a step back and look at them for what they are. Except for Froosh.
