So I went to TRU today, in hopes of finding some Mistika. Of course, there were none, however, for 10 bucks, this set is a must have. It has some of the best part and color selection in any ten dollar set I have ever had. Most notably the 2 Y shaped plus rods you get in the set.

Took a little under 4 years, but I have achieved a full bar of proto! Now I have to get used to seeing my name in brown.

Thanks to Black Six, and the BZP staff, you guys just made my day!

It seems that there are a huge amount of questions that have still not been answered. The contest has been official for several days now. This kind of worries me, as some of the current entrants could be disqualified as the rules were not very clear this time, which I fear might lead to flaming and more woes for BZP. Now do not get me wrong here, Kex, Roa and Shannara are all great forum assistants. However they are quite elusive, and that is okay as I assume they are very busy people, and I know for a fact that Roa is always busy. With Tufi being given admin duties now, her role in BBC has been much less active.

So I ask this, do any of you think that the BBC forum is in need of another assistant? Myself, I have to say yes. I am not sure who is the best person to nominate for the job, but I do think that it is needed.

It is the solution to the current US economy and deficit. Professional sports athletes and other absurdly high paid people should have to pay a luxury tax. Good old uncle sam.

So I was recently given the green light to ship freely, man I have been waiting forever to be able to do this. I have opened up a store at a certain site and will probably open up a topic in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum soon. Plus I can finally repay some old (and I mean OLD) debts.

Once I get some buyers I should have some postive feedback, I have only done one minor trade here so I have a long way to go in becoming a trusted trader. Wish me luck guys!

So now that most of us have seen and experienced the summer sets of the year, which do you think are the best overall of 2008? We were graced with new vehicles, old heroes and new villians this year. I think this was the best year for Bionicle since 04, when the Toa Metru ruled. So here is my list for top 6 best sets of the year.

    6. Makuta Icarax The return of the makuta and a sweet set all in all. Plus a neat function.
    5. Axalara T9 Huge and lots of neat functions. This set will keep you busy for quite awhile, the new kanohi is sweet too.
    4. Jetrax T6 Another big set with lots of great parts and playability. Toa Antroz!
    3. Matoran Photok Orange mata feet and new kanohi, nuff said. Also very affordable.
    2. Toa Ignika The skyboard has a ton of useful parts and the set itself is a blast.
    1. Rockoh T3 The part selection is just amazing in this set, great parts in new colors and the set itself is IMO the best of all the vehicles and a bit more affordable.

    Now lets see yours!

So I recently got my tax return, not stimulus in the mail. 900 US dollars to be exact. Seems like alot of money but with bills and cost of living and gasoline prices, it really is not a great deal of cash.

Regardless, I plan on making a toy or video game run with at least some of the cash. Suggestions? Things I have considered:

All of the new Indiana Jones sets
    A Playstation 3
    A Xbox 360
    A Laptop Computer
    Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS
An Axe(To compliment my sword collection and a possible cosplay)

More suggestions? What are some of the good newer games for DS, The World Ends With You looks pretty good and I know there are rampant Pokemon fanboys and gals here.

So I bought me one of these, as I needed some of those light gray system tiles for MoCing purposes:

And look what else was in there:

Chrome Black Vader! It is so very nice, it is all shiny and stuff, I think these were randomly inserted in 09 Star Wars sets, from what I have gathered online, only about 10,000 of them exist, just like the chrome gold C-3PO minifigs in the 07 sets.

Sell it? Keep it? What should I do next? I have seen them sell for as high as 120 bucks in the polybag!

Vacation proved to be very productive. Here are some of the highlights of my trip!

First off, we found an amazing shop that was having a going out of buisness sale, they had a raffle for some toys and lego prizes and I spent about 30 bucks on tickets. As it turns out I won 2 AMAZING prizes! I was thrilled and as I promised in my last blog entry, I brought you back a gift BZP!

And the prizes, a rare sealed minifig pack!

And an even RARER 7190 Millenium Falcon, never opened and SEALED, plus there is like no box wear. This is worth a ton of cash.

(Here you can see it is sealed)

After all that excitement we moved on and found this nifty kite shop. They had an assortment of rubber band guns like I have never seen before! Look at that Gatling Gun, I was told it fires like 120 rubber bands a second, for that price it had better! I bought a little colt and some ammo, Ill have some fun with that I am sure. I also bought a Diode 2 handed sport kite to fly on the ocean. That was a blast, they are kind of tricky to fly but I did pretty well.

Well that was about it for the fun stuff, the rest of the time was spent driving and enjoying the beach. Im still in awe over those prizes.

This is my gas station clerk wishlist, if every customer I helped followed these guidelines, I would have no need to rant.

~Please do not call me any of the following in greeting or leaving: Buddy, Parter, Boss, Brother, Big Man, Youngster, Amigo, Compadre, Vato, Essay, or Hombre. A simple SIR will suffice.

~Please do not throw a ton of dirty, sticky change on my counter top and proceed to stare at me as you wish me to count it.

~If paying with a debit or credit card, please SPECIFY which type of transaction you would like, rather than have me ask over and over.

~When punching in your debit pin number, please do not proceed to shake, slam or yank on the debit pinpad when it beeps at you for inputting your digits too fast or incorrectly.

~When purchasing items that require photo ID, please do not be offended that I ask for it, or give me the LOOK.

~When asking for the location of our restroom, please do not refer to it as the can, the john, the throne or some of the more vulgar terms for said restroom.

~When asking for directions, please do not just say that place or act as if I have lived in the area my entire life.

~Please do not attempt to bribe me, be it with your good looks, cash, business offers, merchandise or family members.

~Please do not purchase an item less than 10 dollars with only a 100 dollar bill between midnight and 8 AM.

~When filling up gasoline, please do not expect me to know which number your vehicle is parked at.

~If you are in need of propane, please do not bring your tank into the store and place it upon my counter top.

~If you have made a mess, CLEAN IT UP yourself.

~Please do not bring in a huge pile of scratch/lottery tickets to be validated unless they are all winning tickets.

~Please do not place a large number of items upon my counter top, then proceed to walk away to shop futher when I have a line of customers behind you.

~When purchasing wireless minutes, phone cards or other types of telephone related items, please do not expect me to know your carrier and/or expect me to add minutes to your phone.

~If you have a complaint of any type, please SPECIFY the name of the employee that you were given trouble with, rather than proceed to belittle me.

That is all for now, I am sure I will have plenty more. Thank you for your time and have a NICE DAY!

What is your highest Cruel Brawl score?

The most I have gotten so far is 5 with Metaknight and Jigglypuff. My goal is to get at least 12, somehow, and proof of it with a screenshot.

I really dislike the blue alloy.

Picked up some classics today, I am betting that these games are older than most of you people!!

Strider, Arkanoid, Tetris 2 and Deadly Towers:

Wizards and Warriors, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Snakes Revenge and Flying Dragon:

Lastly, I have searched far and wide for this game, Battletoads and Double Dragon, one of the best beat em ups on the SNES:

Should I bring my weekly set spotlight back? Im not sure if anyone really was interested in it, as most of the sets I listed were pre-2000.

Or maybe some kind of new weekly highlight? MoC/member of the week? Im open to suggestions here.

Today I am going to make my fireworks run, probably gonna spend about 30-50 bucks on them. I plan on getting artillery shells for sure, they are my favorite kind of fireworks. Also Im gonna pick up some colored sparklers and fountians for the kid, maybe even some of the saturn missile battery packs. Pics of the haul will be uploaded later today so stay tuned!

As promised, my haul, only got my favorite pyrotechnics. Not much, but I spent 30 bucks on it. Those are the biggest sparklers I have ever seen!:

What kind of stuff do you plan on buying for the holiday?

Update, added 2 more baseplates in length, clear walls and starting grid. It is getting pretty heavy as a whole now. I may have to scrap the desert theme, not sure yet. I made the walls clear for visual pleasure, still working on a way to make it move. There will be no corners on the track, it is only a straight away.

I really need some ideas on how to make it move! I do not think a propeller is going to be strong enough!

So I was watching Larry King tonight, they had a panel of high ranking government officials on claiming they each had an encounter with UFOs. They have said the United States government remains reclusive on the subject, though France, Brazil and China have released information confirming the existance of UFOs. They claim the US plans to weaponize space and views them as threats to society and religion, hence the classification of information. Upon the release of this info in the other countries, there was panic and the infrastructure (internet, telephone) was overloaded with curious people. Even the Vatican, perhaps the center of christianity views UFOs as real.

Several videos and reports were quite convincing to me, I do believe that we are not alone in the universe, it is so huge, how could we be the only intelligent life? I have never had any kind of sighting or encounter with a UFO, but there is just too much information out there to dismiss it. Indeed, I believe the people would panic and religion would be thrown into turmoil if this info was made public and proof of UFOs was revealed. Perhaps the government is waiting for the proper time, I do not think society is ready for these things yet myself.

So I ask you, do you believe there is life beyond the stars? Truly a facinating subject. I leave you with some images of UFO sightings over Europe, the US and other locations. The last 2 images are more recent ones.

Okay is it just me, or are all of mine, and everyone elses brickshelf folders empty?

Good thing I back up all my MoC images, this will hopefully be fixed. Majhost is fine but brickshelf is not!
