Update, added 2 more baseplates in length, clear walls and starting grid. It is getting pretty heavy as a whole now. I may have to scrap the desert theme, not sure yet. I made the walls clear for visual pleasure, still working on a way to make it move. There will be no corners on the track, it is only a straight away.

I really need some ideas on how to make it move! I do not think a propeller is going to be strong enough!
Wow where to start. Vacation was a blast, there must have been thousands of people on the beach, lighting fireworks till the wee hours of the morning! There was a cloud of smoke for miles! I lit off my lot and camped out on the beach, it was a ton of fun, the kid had a great time too! We stayed in this cozy little cabin house for 4 days, played cards, BBQed everyday and roasted marshmallows till our guts hurt! I could live like that everyday!
Now, onto the loot I got!
First up is lego of course, this is the Rebel Snowspeeder UCS set, never opened and in amazing condition, worth about 400-500 bucks!
Next up is my new favorite toy, Skeleton Claws! Yes they are real and extremely sharp! I broke off one of the skulls on the knuckles playing with them!
And last but certainly not least, Kex sent me these beauties, which really need no further ramblings, onto the pure awesomeness that is....
Expect some quality MoCs soon with these 2 wonders!
Allright, what started as a crazy, outlandish idea has started to take shape! This is still very early in the WiP stages, still throwing around some ideas. In the end expect a lush desert landscape around the track. So far it is working as I planned! This is a very expensive and ambitious project and I hope to complete it someday, this is no doubt going to take alot of trial and error.
What I would really like to do is have 2 of these tracks, so the hovercrafts can race one another! That would call for a ton of extra cash though, maybe, just maybe...
The setup:
Battery box and IR receiever:
Overhead view:
It really floats:

Checking each magnet to ensure the polarity is correct, and weight are my main concerns. The craft itself might not have many details. Any ideas/help would be great so feel free!
Description: Released in 2000 as part of the Star Wars UCS line, this massive set retailed for about 120 bucks. Today buying this collectors item MISB will cost you a whopping 500-600 bucks! Containing 1296 parts and 1 minifig, this set has become the most desired and valued UCS Star Wars set next to only the Rebel Blockade Runner. Even used this set can sell for upwards of 300 bucks!
My Take: I was in TRU 9 years ago, looking at this set and the UCS Tie Interceptor. Oh how I wish I had not passed on them, this set is pretty much the holy grail of UCS lego sets. Seeing it sell for these absurd prices now gets me feeling all depressed. Ah well, until next week!
Pittsburgh pulled it out and won the Stanley Cup last night! Congrats to them, they battled all the way to a game 7 win, in the hostile Joe Louis arena of Detroit.
Can we say dynasty? I think this game was actually more entertaining than the NBA finals as a whole.
Description: This was a promotional set that was only released in the UK at Woolworths in 1998. Containing 2 insectoid sets and a life sized insect mask, the set price was about 20 bucks then. Today this item has become ultra rare and MISB this can sell for upwards of 250 dollars, big time collectors item.
My take: Well, I never had a chance at getting this set, still I want the mask though. That could make for a neat MoC if you could somehow build around it. Until next week!
35 bucks for both of these games was a great deal, they are both brand new and sealed! Hollywood Video of all places had quite an impressive selection of new and used games! I will be going there in the future for sure!
Everybody knows about Chrono Trigger, I have mastered it on the SNES and PS1 remake, this one has an extra dungeon though so I finally ended up getting this version. It also comes with a poster apparently, that sticker says first run only, maybe I should not open this, collectors item perhaps? Darkstalkers for PSP is a 2D fighter, which plays alot like the huge arcade hit, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and I loved that game. Busting out a 60 hit super combo is most satisfactory, I guess the game has wifi also so perhaps once I get some practice in Ill be able to do well online!
92 degrees today, in the pacific northwest? This is early June right?
Wow, Im gonna get a popsicle now, a whole box of them. My gum is now a puddle of goo on the sidewalk it is so hot. Anyone else in the midst of a heatwave?
Description: Released in 1996 for about 35 dollars. Sells MISB today for a whopping 250 bucks, collectors item for sure. Containing 430 parts and 7 minifigs, this set was part of the limited castle dark forest series, which included a total of only 3 sets.
My take: This looks like your basic forestmen sets, but with a more castle like theme to it. That said, I like the baseplate in this set and the minifigs are all a bit pricey in todays market. Until next week!
Some of you might remember this little creation I made for Cags contest awhile back:
Well, as it turns out I just sold this little beauty as a custom item for 10.99! I am going to begin mass production on these as I have a ton of those parts. Could this be a goldmine in disguise? Also, I ordered a Vohrak with shadow kraata and one of the not yet released power miner sets! Lookie at the big rock guy!
The latest shipment came in. A 6 hole chin Kraahkan (from the original Makuta set), 8 blue destroyer droid feet, and a couple TNGMs. Also, a throwbot container and a random aquaraiders set baggie!
With the arrival of these 70 magnets and a few holders, I can begin work on my hovercraft track idea! I have more holders on the way also. With this many magnets, I have a ton of ideas on neat ways to use them, look for possible WiPs soon.
I love strategy games, and I have just recently discovered Advance Wars 2, Black Hole Rising. I love it, every aspect of it. The quirky COs (commanding officers), the comical music, but most of all I love all the different unit types and the level of strategy involved. Each CO has unique powers, some have stronger infantry units, others have better defense and economy. There is air combat, naval combat, long range combat, it is endless!
So, has anyone tried the new AW on the DS? If it is anything like this one I must have it. Perhaps the best part is the ability to link up and battle another human opponent, granted the game AI is good, but it is clearly not as good as another experienced player.
Is anyone else needing parts from your BBCC 53 MoC, and not able to use them?
I seriously doubt I will place in the top 3, but at any rate, I think we can all agree we should have some results by now. Call it whining or complaining, I care not, I call it a civil request. I realize the BBC staff has no sway over the lego designers, so I am not bashing them in any form. We all love lego, how about lego loving us back? The customer/consumer is what has made lego the great company it is today!
Well as it seems I have offended some with This entry, I know it is only right to apologize. I thought I was being civil, and polite, but after some light reading I see that I may not have been in the eyes of many important people here. So as I did with Bink, please any that were offended by it accept my sincere apologies. I only had the well being of the BBC forum and members in mind.
And to Vader, please accept my direct apology to you sir, I never really knew you viewed me in such a way, honestly.
