    E3 Announcements (omg)

Yes, E3 never fails to get me all anxious and ready to shell out that money. The new PSP model has gotten my attention.

    E3

Well its that time of year again, the E3 gaming expo! For those who have been living under a rock, see Here. Sorry Czar, I've had to remove the link because of the forums on the site. -Nukora I see a few major announcements recently, such as Metal Gear Solid 4, and Mario Kart Wii, both of which will be must have games for me. Nintendo also announced that the Wii will soon have a fitness board, a zapper and a steering wheel. Other announcements from today include a newer PSP handheld, with HD video output and an improved battery, which might even persuade me to buy one. Ill update this entry with breaking E3 news and new screenshots when I can. I will leave you with a few screenshots of some of my upcoming favorites! First up is Mario Kart for the Wii! This one looks fun: Metroid Corruption! A puzzle element? And of course, BRAWL! Samus and Link battle it out:
  4. Nice transformoc, you managed to keep a decent shape and look to the humanoid form of it. Most impressive.

    College

Cool beans Kohaku, you are well on your way to a good paying job and a bright future. Just remember your roots here when your a bigshot billionare!
  6. Wow, thats a crazy dream. However, I must confess I had an odd dream about a few BZP folks one time. I will not mention who though .
  7. Ah this is a challenging contest. Transformocs are tough to build and keep a good look to them. I may enter this one, I may not, still too early to tell. Liking the theme though dude, challenge = fun.

    A Prophet

Hapori Tohu! Well, thats my take on ol Hap anyway. I always pictured him similar to Mata Nui, a white/silver and slender being. MoC has full articulation, you can read all about it Here. Too early to tell how far this entry will go, but I am hopeful to make the semi-final round of voting this time around. I have a semi-final streak going dating back to BBC 39 so I am hoping to keep that in tact after BBC 44! One more thing of note, this is my first ever MoC that features the Chrome Hau, that I have owned for several years now.
  9. Well done Kopakalaka. Your MoC was very well done, I liked that jewel in the sword hilt, the strict color scheme and the smaller details added.

    Snes Simcity

I have finally mastered this game, and I even bring pics. Anybody who has ever played this addicting game will know the time and effort put into these 2 huge cities. They also might understand what I am talking about there . Its rare to actually see pictures of completed Megalopolis cities, so here are both of mine! The first one is my latest, I have perfected the Donut building method and discovered a strategy that ensures all gifts I use will give the surrounding zones full potential (Tops). See the land value picture, I managed to build the pattern in a 6x5 setup for this one, on map 061. What is most surprising about this one is the well below average amount of Industrial zones needed for the average Megalopolis, see the City Overview pic. I think all those Tops and high land value zones compensated for the Industry. In the Pollution pic you can see I had to get clever in placing the I zones, as most of the edge of the map consists of Top zones, which is also rarely seen. A nice bit of advice, save your Cleopatra Headquarters for the center of the map. This way the crime stays lower in a high population density area where it is likely to be higher and also allows you to place gifts around the city center(where they help the surrounding zones the most) and maintain a good police radius. This is my best city so far, and I still have more gifts to use, several more Landfills and the Fountain. Map 061 City Center View: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0773.jpg Comprehensive: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0763.jpg Land Value(love this one): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0762.jpg Crime Rate(not bad, still gonna get rid of that orange though) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0764.jpg Pollution: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0767.jpg City Overview: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0770.jpg This next city was built on map 137, has roughly the same population and uses the same method of donut building and top zoning. However this one has quite a bit more Industrial zones along the edge of the map, and a more compacted 5x5 top zone setup. This one also has all the gifts used, even the Fountain. Notice how I placed some of the gifts in a cross like pattern along the center axis of the map(see land value pic). This gives the areas around that dotted cross you see when you scroll along the map the most potential. Map 137 Comprehensive: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0775.jpg Land Value: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0776.jpg City Overview: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/sfr...nc/000_0777.jpg Enjoy, and I hope this inspires some of you to keep trying for that 500,000 population mark!
  11. Tough vote here, lots of nicely done self MoCs! It comes down to Bundalings and Kopakalaka for me. Bunda gets the vote, I just cannot deny those ears and the overall build of it.
  12. Well I got to work today and settled in, little did I know the day I would have. A truck pulls up to our outer gas pumps, and calls for me to open it. I do, and routinely jot down the license plate numbers, vehicle model/color, and driver description. After he fills about 58 dollars, I notice he is acting strangely and I exit the store to check on him. As I walk up, he starts his truck, so now I know he is going to try and get away. Probably not my smartest move, but I was angry, I chase after the truck and slam my fist into his window to get his attention. He looks at me with a look of fright, acclerates very quickly, knocking my elbow on his front headlight very hard and drives away like a mainiac. He would have ran me over without a second thought, and nearly did had I not pulled away when I did. I could see it in his eyes that he was desperate, but still I was very angry and my adrenaline was pumping like crazy. Once I get back into the store, I notice blood coming down my arm, and see a gash on my elbow. I must have been so pumped off the rush I didnt feel how bad the injury was. I called the police, they took a report and picture of my injury. They also told me to never ever do that again. Turns out the guy is an escaped convict in a stolen vehicle. I will be pressing charges if he is found, if the thinks he scared me he is oh so wrong. Quite a day at the job!

    Update - Bomb Threat

Scary stuff dude. Ill be looking for that news link and Im sorry to see you missed out on the Mahri. Sold out allready? Wowzers.
  14. I used to use numbers frequently, then I realized the error of my ways and abondoned them. We were all newbies once I suppose, I shudder to think of them now and I am baffled as to why some builders still ask for them. I agree with most of your points and I also would like to know why some take those numbers so seriously.
  15. Looks like a disc for the transmission. EDIT: Nope. It is inside of the engine, and has nothing to do with the transmission

The Start Of A New Beginning

Im gonna take a guess here..... Pokemon?
  17. Wow, I actually use the word Fray rather often. All those words are indeed awesome, I must incorporate them into my daily speech and conversations some how.
  18. This design is small, fits easily into any MoC, and can hold massive weight. There are a variety of ways you can build off of this but I just included the basics. 1, 2, 3, 4, If anybody ever gets around to trying this out, let me know. I think it works wonders for heavy and larger MoCs.
  19. I want a challenging contest, something like BBC 39 was, a limited build. Maybe a MoC with using no pins and/or plus rods, that would be cool to eliminate one of those.

    Rich Month Of Julius!

Yay, they say money cannot buy happiness, but I wonder about that. Might I ask what this airsoft thing is? It seems quite interesting. What about LEGO Bricks and video games? They always top my list of things to buy, after bills and food of course . Montana, beautiful state, if you go bring back pics!

    Summer Solstice

At Stonehenge! Today is June 21, which means it is the longest day of the year, the summer solstice! I am going out to have a big BBQ to celebrate, the weather is divine outside today! It might be hard to believe but after today, the sun will start setting earlier allready. There are usually lots of celebrations worldwide for today, what will you be doing, if anything for the longest day of the year?
  22. LEGO Bricks and video games. Does not get much better than that, nice find!
  23. I also enjoyed This and the Mobile Devastator. Golden Guardian is also a great set for us builders.
