I downloaded this great program called MP3Gain. It scanned the volume level of all my music, then adjusted them so they were all relatively the same. No more adjusting the speakers when a quiet song comes on!
With no new games coming out this summer, I need something to pass the time. And that's where my good pal Fallout 3 comes in. My first play through was over 110 hours.
Before I start again though, I want to install all the DLC, so I'm currently downloading them now. Curse my slow connection! And then I have to install FO3 again, too. So I probably won't be playing until at least Monday.
idk what I'll do to pass the time, since I can't play any online games (i.e. TF2, though I guess I could play with bots) and as much as I'd like to finish everything in AC2, it's just sooo boring hunting feathers and chests. I guess I'll go back to Plants vs Zombies, since I need to find the secret zombie thing.
So today during Assassin's Creed 2, I get to a part where I have to kill a guard captain. BUT HAHA IT'S A TRAP So I'm on the ground, he's on the roof with a bunch of guards. My objective is beat all the waves of guards and kill the guy. So I defeat one wave, and I think "screw this," so I climb the wall and go straight for the captain. He runs, but I manage to hit him so he fights back. And then over a dozen guards swarm me. So we're all fighting on a roof wide enough for 4, maybe 5 people. And the roof is slanted. So as I'm slaying all these punks, they go slip-sliding off the roof onto the poor citizens below.
QUOTE June 9, 2010 -- Aperture Science, doing business as Aperture Laboratories LLC, in partnership with Valve today announced the successful completion of an ethics-review-panel-supervised release date restructuring process. Portal 2, the sequel to the ground-breaking title that earned over 30 Game of the Year awards despite missing its original ship date, is now targeted for a 2011 release.
Representatives from both companies acknowledged that public safety concerns factored into the decision. They went on to say that even though Portal 2 will arrive slightly later than planned, all life on earth won't instantaneously stop as every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light, which is what would happen should a rip ever appear in the fabric of Valve Time.
"Also, the game will be even better," they added, missing an historic opportunity to create the first product delay press release to mention that a product is being delayed to make it worse.
To ask questions about how close we all came to dying, or to ask futile questions about the previously announced E3 ***PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD'S SAKE*** surprise or, less futilely, to schedule an appointment to attend a Portal 2 screening at the Valve booth during E3, please contact Valve's delegate to the EU's Valve Time Studies Group, Doug Lombardi.
Well, that's one less game I'll have to buy this year, at least.
So I've been re-playing HL2 now that it has Steam achievements, and today I got to Ravenholm. I thought, "Oh man, I hate Ravenholm." But then I thought, "Erik, you've played through Ravenholm so many times it shouldn't affect you anymore."
I was wrong. Ravenholm still gives me the creeps. And now I'm at the mine part which is just as bad.
But once I get out, the game just gets better and better.
I understand everyone wants to have cool, attention grabbing images. Really, I get that. And I think it's cool that it's now possible. But 800x300 is just too large. What about the people using low resolution monitors? HEY GUESS WHAT HALF YOUR SCREEN IS TAKEN UP BY SOMEONE'S SIG
I might just be turning signatures off. Which I don't want to do, but I also don't want to have to scroll like mad to navigate pages. I guess I'll wait and see how many people abuse use these new dimensions.
Aperture Science is pleased to inform you that we have partnered with Valve to announce the gala CANCELLATION of the June 14 Portal 2 event at the Regal Theater. The event will be replaced by a surprise. And even though the cancellation of the event certainly counts as a surprise, we are pleased to further announce that the cancellation of the event is not THE surprise. However, per International treaties regarding the definition of the word "surprise", of which both Aperture Science and Valve are signatories, the time, date and content of the actual surprise will only become available as you experience the surprise.
If you'd like to ask fruitless questions about the E3 Portal 2 surprise or, more fruitfully, schedule an appointment to attend a Portal 2 screening at the Valve booth during E3, please contact Valve's Special Envoy to Surprises, Doug Lombardi.
Thank you for <<RECORD SCRATCH!!!>>
PS: The surprising record scratch is also not the surprise.
That's the stock photo; IRL, the design takes up the ENTIRE front of the shirt. The bottom of the design is over the bottom hem (I think that's what it's called), and the design basically covers my entire front torso. Also the design is more tan/off-white. The design itself mocks that of a standard King of Hearts card. He holds a sword behind his head, though it looks like he's stabbing himself. And Senses Fail is a band. It's awesome.
I'm only 3 posts away from the big 2-triple-0, and I really don't feel like doing anything special, mostly because I'm lazy. But I just don't want to make some normal post, as this is an IMPORTANT MILESTONE (except not really). Hmm... I'll have to come up with something.
